FOODlog #323: Fettuccine with Grilled Mustard Chicken
My colleague cooked some really delicious pasta the other day for our staff meal. We had leftover fettuccine from the cafe so he used it to cook our meal.
For the sauce, he made a roux and then added milk and cajun seasoning into the sauce and cooked it. He then seasoned it to taste with salt and pepper and added chili flakes and the sauce is done.
He added the fettuccine noodles into the sauce and mixed them together till they were all incorporated.
He topped the dish with a boneless chicken thigh that he marinated with cajun seasoning as well and then grilled it on the flat top. To finish it, he spread some Dijon mustard to baste the chicken with and the chicken was done.
It was such a delicious meal full of flavor. The noodles were so flavorful with the cajun sauce and the chicken was tender and juicy and packed full of those grilled charred flavor.
Such an amazing lunch that makes you crave for more. YUMS! ~~
