FOODlog #246: Vietnamese Chicken Wraps
A change up of a meal for lunch, we had wraps for lunch! After days of having our usual rice meals, my friend cooked for the staff meal at the cafe some Vietnamese style pan fried chicken.
He seasoned the boneless chicken thighs with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and fish sauce. He wanted to use lemongrass but we didn't have any so if you do have that in your pantry, do utilize it for more flavor and aroma.
After about 15 minutes, the chicken thighs are seared in a hot pan for about 10 minutes on each side. The chicken was so aromatic and fragrant that we were jokingly saying that it would be great with rice.
Anyway, we continued with our plan for having wraps. I made mine with some pesto, harbenero hot sauce, some freshly diced tomatoes and some spring onions to top it off.
My other colleague had his with cheese and lettuce. We all enjoyed our own custom made wraps and had a wonderful lunch together.
