FOODlog #237: Stingray Curry with Roti Telur
For our staff meal at the cafe, we normally eat rice and occasionally we have noodles for a change. This time, we wanted something besides rice and noodles so we ordered some 'roti' for our lunch.
We got some 'roti telur' which is roti with egg. It came with dhall and some fish curry which I also got a portion of the fish. It was a stingray curry which was flavorful although the stingray itself was a little rubbery.
I also got some chicken 'rendang'. It was about RM6 (USD <2) per piece and for the price it was quite a good buy. The chicken was tender and the 'rendang' was aromatic and flavorful. We even had leftovers of the chicken which we kept for breakfast the next day.
The 'dhall' wasn't the best in the world but it was decent and we enjoyed the change of our routine of eating rice. Really grateful and thankful that we get to eat "free meals" at where we work. Saves us a good amount of money daily which if you add up, we're saving a good portion monthly on food.
This is especially good during the bear market as we can use every penny to pump our crypto bags waiting for the bull.
