FOODlog #189: Mongolian Pork & Mix Vegetables
Another lunch and another day needing to think what to cook. Sometimes we don't have anymore ideas on what to cook as we are also occupied in making sure the kitchen is fully stocked for operation.
We were lazy to cook and had no idea what to cook so my friend @hooiyewlim went to buy lunch from a mix rice stall. The stall is located in Midvalley mall so he had to walk across using the sky bridge to buy the food.
It was our first time getting a takeaway and us not cooking so we were quite excited for the food. Often food taste better when it's someone else cooking it especially since you're paying for it at an established eatery.
He bought 2 dishes that cost less than RM40 (<10 USD) which managed to feed the whole crew of 5 of us.
He got a meat dish and a vegetable dish which was Mongolian style pork and a mix vegetable.
The Mongolian style pork was deep fried pork then stir fried with sweet and peppery sauce. There was lots of black pepper and it was super delicious.
The vegetable dish was a mix of cabbage, some pork slices, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, and glass noodles.
We ate the dishes with white rice which we cooked ourselves here in the kitchen. A super delicious lunch and a change of taste from outside our kitchen.
