One of the really beautiful looking dishes at Superluna cafe is their Sandos. It's a Japanese inspired type of sandwich using Japanese milk loaf bread which are soft yet chewy at the same time. Its also sturdy at the same time so it holds up well when you pick it up to eat.

The 'Portobello Katsu Sando' is one of the popular dishes that is often ordered by customers. It looks really beautiful when plated and of course taste really delicious too. It's a vegetarian friendly fish with no meat being used but it isn't vegan friendly as it has milk used in the bread and in the mushroom duxelle.

The milk bread slices are first spread with butter and toasted till fragrant and golden brown. Next on each toasted side, a layer of mushroom duxelle is spread on.

The duxelle is made from roasting 3 types of mushrooms which are fresh oyster mushrooms, button mushrooms, and enoki mushrooms together with garlic and oil.

It is then blitz in a food processor until it becomes a mince and then its cooked in a pot with milk.

The next layer is some frizzy lettuce and then laced with an in-house made honey mustard sauce, finally topped with panko coated deep fried portobello mushrooms.

The portobello mushrooms were roasted as well with oil and garlic then soaked in the oil until its ready to be fried for order.

Its then sliced into half then plated with some sprinkle of freshly cracked black pepper and garnished with some edible flowers.
