FOODlog #171: Eggs on Toast
Here at this cafe called Superluna which is located in Bangsar, they serve breakfast and lunch crowds. They have around 10+ items on the menu and a popular item that people order here are their toast. Since they are serving the breakfast crowd their toast is often what people order in the morning.
They have 2 different types of toast which are their jam and toast and also eggs on toast.
The toast they use is Sourdough bread and 2 slices are toasted till golden brown. For the jam it's in-house made jam using blueberries. It's tart and sweet, a perfect jammy spread for the Sourdough toast.
The eggs they use are fresh Omega eggs that you can choose between poach eggs, scrambled eggs or sunny side up style.
I love fried sunny eggs which really accents the creaminess of the egg yolk and the soft whites. So for me personally I'll always pick sunnies whenever there's a choice of eggs.
All of their toast also comes with a spreadable Cultured butter that they make in-house as well.
A sophisticated and fancier version of the all so common toast with jam and eggs that aren't only yummy but energizing to start off the day.
