Last week my sister-in-law came KL for a concert so she stayed at my house a couple of days before she went to the concert and then back to her campus for studies.

She was in Kuching at the time and when she came to KL, she brought along some packed Kuching local food here for me and my family's dinner.

I only go back to Kuching with my wife once a year so it was a real treat that we got some delicious food delivered right to our doorstep :D

She got us some noodles called 'Kolo Mee'. It's a super popular dish that originated from Sarawak (East Malaysia), and has been spreading here in KL (West Malaysia), for over 10 years now. But nothing beats the one from Kuching itself. Their 'Kolo Mee' is just next level. The noodles have an amazingly springy texture and the taste is so much more flavorful yet not over salty where you can't enjoy the noodles.

Another dish she got us was some dumplings. They are similar to 'wantan' here in KL but they taste better somehow. The ratio of filling and the wrapping is just the perfect amount and it gives such a nice mouthfeel when you bite into one of these dumplings.

Dumplings filled with Minced Pork

Such a delicious meal we had together. Really appreciate all the effort and also the inconvenience caused for her just to bring it on the plane all the way to our house.
