FOODlog #158: Fish Soup & Stir Fried Spinach
On rainy days it's really nice to have a bowl of warm soup for meals. We've been having rainy season here in Malaysia and my wife cooked some really delicious soup for our meal the other day.
It's a premix flavoring that you need to just add in water and you get an extremely delicious and flavorful broth. After which you can add whatever you like into the dish. For us we had loads of different fish meatballs and crab sticks which are also actually made from fish that you just add in the soup and let it cook. Once they float to the surface, then it's done cooking.
We also add in some pork meatballs, some tofu, and spinach into the soup as well to give it even more flavor and natural sweetness. It was really a big bowl of comforting and warming meal.
The other dish we had was stir fried spinach with garlic and minced pork. It's simply seasoned with some salt and add in some water for a little gravy.
We had all this with rice and it was a delicious and hearty meal, perfect for a cold and rainy day.
