FOODlog #156: Malaysian Street Food Breakfast
On the way back from sending my son to school, I stopped by a roadside stall to buy some breakfast home. These illegal roadside stalls are pretty much at every street and corner here in Malaysia. Of course although illegal, the authorities doesn't really enforce removing them as it's become synonymous with Malaysian street food culture.
As you can see there are so many people getting their breakfast meals before they go about their day.
They have a selection of a variety of local food like Nasi Lemak, fried noodles, and sweet and savory pastries like coconut stuffed pancake rolls and curry puffs.
This particular stall had lots of different dishes as well which you can have as add-ons to your Nasi Lemak or fried noodles. They had beef/chicken rendang, spicy sambal chicken, fried chicken, fried eggs, just to name a few.
For myself, I got their fried noodles with a fried egg on top and a couple of curry puffs. The fried noodles also come with some of their sambal which was slightly spicy and had a really nice sweetness that came from the onions which I really liked. The curry puffs on the other hand weren't so great .... haha
So far I've tried their Nasi Lemak, fried noodles, and curry puffs. I'll only recommend their fried noodles to my friends but I'll try out some of their other items in the future to have a more accurate rating for this place. Their fried noodles, really good! ~~
