FOODlog #150: Double Cheeseburger @ McDonald's

Last week after picking up my son from school with my wife, we went to McDonald's to have our lunch. My son was having tuition after that so we had to have a quick lunch and there's a McDonald's on the way to his tuition center. So we headed there as it would be both quick and also convenient for us plus our son likes fries.

We bought a Happy Meal for him that came with a drink, a piece of fried chicken drumstick, and fries. For the Happy Meal we could choose between burgers, fried chicken, or chicken nuggets for the main. I picked the fried chicken for myself as I was gonna have a set meal of a double cheeseburger that comes with fries and a drink which they have an add-on option whereby you can add chicken nuggets for RM2 (<50c USD). So it's a better deal that way and everyone gets to eat that little bit extra.

I haven't had their cheeseburgers in awhile so it was a treat for me since I do like their cheeseburgers. They now have added back the mustard into their cheeseburgers where at a certain time here in Malaysia, they removed it for whatever reason. The fried chicken was also really nice and I rate their fried chicken as one of the better ones here in Malaysia compared to other fast food. It's really peppery which I love and the chicken is very flavorful.

My wife was having a little sore throat so she ordered a bowl of chicken porridge which we have it here on the McDonald's Malaysia menu. My son doesn't drink the soft drink so my wife had a cup of Coke which is good for soothing sore throat and killing germs, I kid you not.

We left immediately after our lunch and rushed to the tuition center which we reached about 2 minutes late. Maybe we will order a takeaway and eat on the way next time so that we reach on time. But I guess 2 minutes isn't too bad :D
