FOODlog #108: Tandoor Naan with Fried Chicken

After a basketball session the other day we went for dinner at a 'mamak restaurant' located nearby the court where we play. We've been frequenting that place after our basketball sessions and the food have been quite nice.

This time I ordered their naan bread to try. It was cooked in a tandoor oven and had a lovely roasted char sort of aroma to the bread which was fragrant and delicious. After cooking in the tandoor oven it was brushed with some butter and served with a side of mint chutney, dhall gravy, and some sort of cream dip that was very garlicy which was unique to this particular restaurant as I've never had naan that had that served with it.

I also ordered a side of fried chicken which was also very yummy. It paired perfectly with the naan bread and the various dipping sauces were also great with the fried chicken. The chicken itself was cooked well and the meat was juicy and tasty.

For my drink, I got a can of 100 plus which is an isotonic energy drink, perfect for after a game of basketball which we won!
