Last Saturday my brother bought for me and some of my friends this snack called 'Anora'. It's a sort of finger food that is tofu stuffed with mash potatoes.

It is a unique dish that was founded in 1995. They usually open a stall at a bazaar nearby where I live during the month of Ramadhan. But now it seems they've expanded to take orders throughout the year and it's packed in a nice box with their logo on it.

Tauhu Anora since 1995

The tofu pockets are stuffed with potatoes that are soft and melt in your mouth sort of like the consistency of mash potatoes that still have some chunks in them. It also has some peas in them and the whole piece of tofu is then, I'm guessing, deep fried or oven baked as it's crispy on the outside.

They cut each block into quarters and you can have a quarter as a bite size piece. It's topped with thinly sliced birds eye chili that gives it an extra kick of spiciness which is super nice. It also comes with a sweet and savory sauce which I'm guessing is made from soy sauce and corn starch which gives it a sort of ketchup-like consistency.

If you're ever in Kuala Lumpur, make sure to find them and get your hands on this. It's super delicious and worth effort to find. 5-star guaranteed!
