Travels and Sunsets
Good day wonderful people of read. It has been a long, rainy day, and it has been raining for days here in our little town. I could barely think about what I should write for today but then I remembered about something beautiful yesterday.
Do you have a favorite time of the day?
As for me, I was't even aware if there is a part of the day that has become my favourite. I think maybe lately, waking up in the morning, thanking God for another beautiful day and excitedly checking my read account if there are any up votes by Rusty and other users. Hahaha kidding aside.
So yesterday, I was tasked by my parents on an errand to buy some maintenance medicine for my father as he is already running low on supply for intake for the next few days. And the great part is that, the medicine is not is not available in our little town and needs to be bought on a nearby city next to ours. But since this gives me a chance to meet my friend / former workmate, I gladly accepted this so I can also travel and meet them even for a brief moment.
The weather was just fine yesterday in the afternoon, it was cloudy but it was not raining. (I think the raindrops took their breaks also, haha.) And late in the afternoon I travelled to Baybay City, Leyte. Yehey another day, another travel hahaha but boy, it was not a pleasant one. Just as I departed from our home it rained and the downpour was so heavy. It was a good decision that I chose to wear my raincoat even before the heavy rains started.
I was lucky, that halfway along the road, the rain has stopped and I arrived at where my friend is situated at their work. It was a great timing since their work has just been done for the day and that they headed home, so I offered him a ride on the way to the city proper.
We've had a few stops in the city as my friend has to buy something for himself and I gladly accompanied him. He's been through a lot lately and I just want to be there, giving out support. We had a short time for snacks after and we did chat for a bit and I am happy that he is feeling better lately, and he also accompanied me as I am looking for pharmacies so that I can buy maintenance medicine for my father. I was lucky it did not take long to look for a pharmacy with stocks.
And then it was time to go home, and I offered him a ride home since his place is not that far from the city, and we were on our way talking about random things. And voila, a splendid beauty of nature captured my attention, and we stopped for a short time to take snaps.
The sunset was just so marvelous. We never had a chance to see these kind of beauty in our town since we are surrounded by mountains and not nearby beaches. I often wished to have a captured moments like this back when we used to work in this city but never really had a chance because we were always busy at that time.
If only I lived nearby a beach, This would have been my favourite time of the day and never get tired to gaze at its beauty every single day.
And since night time is already near, we continued our ride on the way to my friend's home, then after I thanked him for the time, bid him farewell and went on my home. Luckily I arrived safe at around 7PM at home, but feeling greater than ever knowing it was more than just a day.
