Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya looks in his best possible shape ahead of the new season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) which gets underway from September 19 in the United Arab Emirates. Hardik last featured for India in a T20I game against South Africa in September last year following which he was sidelined due to his surgery.
The star all-rounder went under the knife in London and was all set to make his comeback in India's ODI series against South Africa in March this year but his return was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nonetheless, Hardik was seen training regularly at home during the lockdown and has certainly gained more muscle ahead of his comeback in IPL 2020.
The all-rounder hit the ground running with his IPL franchise Mumbai Indians in their pre-season camp in Mumbai earlier this week and shared a picture from training where he can be seen flaunting his muscular and chiselled body. Several celebrities and his teammates reacted to the post as they were left impressed by the all-rounder's amazing fitness.
Hardik's wife Natasa Stankovic also reacted to the post and was all hearts for the all-rounder. The couple recently became parents to a baby boy. "Let's get this show on the road @mumbaiindians," Hardik captioned the post. Natasa reacted with a series of emojis.
Hardik will be returning to the pitch after a long break and would be hoping to find his rhythm with the bat and the ball early on to help Mumbai Indians defend their title in the upcoming season. Hardik has been instrumental in Mumbai Indians' success over the years and has played a key role for the team with both bat and the ball.
Earlier, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma also shared a video of his batting session in nets as he returned to action after a long wait. Rohit was seen middling the ball well and will be hoping to continue from where he had left before the COVID break forced all action to be suspended.
