Of all the thousands of relationships in the world, the most significant are those between children and parents. Those who brought us into this world and gave us the opportunity to enjoy its infinite beauty are our revered parents. A child is born in a very helpless state. After coming to earth, the child grows up in the midst of proper upbringing, caress, affection, tenderness and education of the parents. So the contribution of the parents in the life of the child is undeniable.
It is not entirely possible for a child to measure or value this parental contribution. Parents are the only safe place for the child. Therefore, every child should perform his duty towards his parents properly and maintain good relations with them at all times.
Duties and responsibilities of the child towards the parents:
The best blessing of Allah for a child is his parents. That is why parents are most important in the life of a child. It is the responsibility and duty of the child to give them their rights. One of the first responsibilities of children is to maintain a good relationship with their parents and to be loyal to them. The child should follow the path to the satisfaction of the parents. Every child should obey his parents at all times and obey their commands and prohibitions. As parents get older, they become as helpless as newborns. In this case, it is the responsibility of the child to take custody of the parents without considering them. There is no one as miserable as the one who found his parents in old age but did not take care of them. " . As a result, in order to maintain professional success and maintain one's values in the so-called elite society, the old age home becomes the place of the child's own old parents. The wind of this subculture is blowing in our country as well. Our educated conscious society should prevent this. So parents should not do anything that hurts them.
Parental place in different religions:
Whatever the religion, the feelings of love between children and parents are the same and genuine. In every religion, parents are considered a dignified person. In the Holy Quran and Hadith of Islam, it has been said that parents are given the highest position. The hadith says, "If it was commanded to prostrate to anyone other than the Creator on earth, it would have been to prostrate to one's parents."The father is heaven, the father is religion, the father is the person of absolute penance. 'The same thing is mentioned in Christianity. The Buddhist scripture Tripitaka says, "It is best to serve one's parents."
Examples of great people who respect their parents:
A review of history shows that those who died on earth are immortal and immortal and are still alive in the hearts of people. They have all set a shining example of mother and father devotion. Our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) lost his mother in his childhood and grew up in the affection of his stepmother Halima. Although she was a stepmother, she loved him like her own mother. The names of Hazrat Bayazid Bostami and Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar will forever be written in gold letters in the list of mother devotees in history.Rama spent fourteen years in exile for the purpose of patriarchy. Great personalities like Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani, Haji Muhammad Mohsin, George Washington and Alexander have always been and will always be remembered and admired for their devotion to their parents.
Meeting parental expectations:
The world of parents revolves around the growth of a child, his proper upbringing, making him a human being. Parents acknowledge boundless suffering for the child. All parents have the same expectation - 'Let my child be in milk and rice'. The relentless pursuit of parents plays a huge role in the well-being of a child.Every parent wants their children to stand up in the society as good children, to acquire the power to resist all kinds of injustice and lies. By fulfilling these expectations one can also fulfill one's duty towards them.
Being loyal and satisfied:
Be loyal to your parents in all situations and do not be upset. No matter how big the child is, to the parents he is only their child. Parents try their best to give us happiness and comfort. But if you ever fail to give something, you can't be frowned upon. They expect the child to behave as a child. Parents are the best friend of the child and it is the child's duty to keep them at peace and free from worries.
Maintaining parental ideals and respect:
Every child should follow the ideals and justice of their parents. They should not do anything that would tarnish their image in society. The love of the parents is so deep that even if the child goes astray, it cannot keep him away. So they have to obey orders and prohibitions at all times. However, if the parents ask them to engage in any anti-religious activities such as shirk and kufr, then their instructions will not be obeyed. Respect for parents can be enhanced by maintaining good relations with the relatives, friends and colleagues of the parents in the society.
Things to do for them after death:
After death, the child should pray for the forgiveness and peace of the disembodied soul of the parents. Allah Ta'ala says in the Qur'an- ‘Rabbi Hamhuma Kama Rabbayyani Sagira’ meaning ‘O Allah! Have mercy on my parents as they raised me in my childhood. ' If there is any debt or debt of the parents before death, it is the duty of the child to repay it. If you repay the loan, both parents and children will benefit in the hereafter. It is the child's responsibility to fulfill a previous promise.
In every religion, strict words have been uttered about the responsibilities and duties towards parents. Therefore, in order to pave the way for liberation in this world and in the hereafter, one has to fulfill one's duties towards one's parents. Always remember that every parent wants the best for their child. So they have to comply.
