The King and His Four Wives Let me share a story that I have read. I hope you can learn a lesson from it. It is called **The King and his four wives.** A long time ago, in a very far away land, there was a grandiose palace built in a mountain with huge walls. In that palace lives a King with his four beautiful wives. Among the four, the fourth wife was most loved by the king. He spends so much money to buy her elegant clothes, pieces of jewelry, diamonds, and anything that his fourth wife wants. Same with the third wife. The King is very proud of her. He introduces her to all the people in his kingdom. Take her to the most beautiful places. Walk her to the finest sands on beaches within their kingdom. The second wife is also much loved by the king. The second wife is thoughtful. She takes care of all the things that the King needed. She is always there for the King in times of troubles and struggles in life. But the king was indifferent to his first wife. He pays less attention to her. The first wife takes care of their palace, do his paperwork, and all other things for the king. One day, the king suddenly feels ill. Even his doctors cannot cure his illness. Then the king realizes that no matter how wealthy he was, he cannot take his wealth with him when he dies. He calls for his fourth wife. He told her " *I have loved you dearly. Gave you every riches in the world. Now that I'm dying, will you come with me to the afterlife?" The fourth wife replied, " No! I will not go with you!"* and then left. The King feels sad about what he heard from his fourth wife. Then he asks for his third wife. He asked the same question but the third wife said, *No!, I will not go with you. Life is so beautiful. If you'll die, I will remarry and live a happy life.* The King feels like he was being struck by a lightning from what he heard. Then he calls for his second wife. He said, "*You are with me in every trouble that I had in my palace. You help me and guide me in every decision that I make. Now that I am facing a big problem, will you still be with me to solve this problem?". The second wife replied, " No, I have done my part as your wife. The only thing that I can do for you is to mourn, and to prepare your burial."* Everyone from that room becomes speechless even the king himself. Suddenly, they hear a voice whispering to the king. *"I will go with you, follow you even in after-life."* The King slowly opens his eyes and saw his first wife. He saw that she just looks ordinary and not a queen. He realized that he neglects his duty as a husband to his first wife. From that moment, tears slowly running down his eyes. *"I should have treated you nicely. Give you everything that you need and take good care of you while I was still young and healthy."* From what you have read, what lesson have you learned? Did you know that each one of us has four wives? **The fourth wife is our body**. We buy clothes, pieces of jewelry, makeup, and everything that would make us look good. But we cannot take all of it once we die. **Our third wife is our riches or belongings**. Houses, vehicles that we own, money, and every material thing that we cherish like, cellphones and gadgets. But like our fourth wife, we cannot take it when we die. **The second wife is our family or loved ones**. They are always there to guide us and help us in times of trouble. Like in the story, the only thing that they can do is to prepare our burial and mourn. **Our first wife is our soul.** In life, we tend to forget to replenish our spiritual being. We always prioritize material things that could give us happiness. But our soul will always be there from the moment that we were born until the moment that we die. There is nothing wrong that we enjoy life. There is nothing wrong to become rich, enjoy everything that we have because that is given to us by our God. But let us also not forget our soul. Always pray, ask for forgiveness, repent, and learn the word of God. Our first wife is the reason why we have our three wives. @damelindz **photo source: Pinterest**

Missing the Old Christmas After writing my recent article "Ghosts of Christmas Carol",I went outside, in our frontyard. While sipping an ice-cold soda, I was reminded that it is already December 17, just 8 days before Christmas. Eight days before Christmas yet I haven't seen or heard children singing christmas carols in every house. Unlike before, you can see children caroling as early as first week of December. I miss the sound of their drums, made of cans and plastic. The sound of their tamborines made of wires and 'tansan', which they made for themselves. When I still have a small sari-sari store in front of our house, children would asked me for "tansans". Then they will made tamborines in front of my store. I could hear them talking about their plans for the caroling. Who will lead and who will keep the money. They would argue, sometimes it would end up fighting. But in the end, I would still see them together singing in every house. They will sing every Christmas songs they know, but mostly, the lyrics was all wrong, hahahaha. And when you will say "Patawad! " after they sing, they would reply "ang babarat ninyo, thank you! ",hahahaha. This Pandemic did make a lot of changes in our traditions. Let's hope that in the coming year, we can again experience the traditional way of celebrating Christmas! @damelindz ❤❤❤ **photos from Google**

Ghosts of Christmas Carol Christmas is indeed in the air! We can feel the cold breeze that reminds us that Christmas is just around the corner. And even here in read.cash, most of the articles written nowadays was all about Christmas. This time, I'll be writing not about Christmas itself, but about a movie. Although it's theme is about Christmas. This is one of my favorite movie. I first watched it back in 2010, and watched it many times over. The movie is called **" A Christmas Carol"** *It was a 2009 American 3D computer-animated Christmas dark fantasy movie. It is based on a book written by Charles Dicken in 1843.* *This movie is about an old grumpy miser named* ***Ebenezer Scrooge****. Everyone knew Mr. Scrooge, but not because he was popular and certainly not because he was generous. Ebenezer Scrooge made his fortune in banking, partnering with his friend Jacob Marley, who was just as stingy as Scrooge. There was nothing those two like more than money. Their hearts were as hard and cold as the gold coins that tangled in their pockets. When Mr. Marley passed away, all that's left with Mr. Scrooge was his assistant* ***Bob Cratchit*** *who was kind and timid young man.* *The plot of the movie happened at Christmas eve. When Mr. Scrooge does not share the merriment of Christmas. He declines invitations from his nephew. He also rejects two gentleman's offer to collect money for charity. And he did not allow his loyal assistant to go home early to spend Christmas with his famil*y. *On that Christmas eve, Scrooge was visited by four ghost. First was his deceased partner Mr. Marley who told him to repent his wicked ways or he will be condemned like he was in the afterlife.* *Next was a* ***candle-like ghost of Christmas past****. It takes him to his childhood and early adult life. He relives his lonely childhood in boarding school and his sister Fan. And how he became successful and engaged to a beautiful woman named Belle. But when Belle left Scrooge he became obsessed with wealth. And then the ghost of the Christmas past take him back to the present.* *Next, Scrooge was visited by the* ***merry ghost of Christmas Present****, who showed him the joy and wonder of Christmas day. The ghost bring Scrooge to the house of his assistant Bob Cratchit. He learned that Bob's family is content with their small dinner. Then he saw Bob's ill son Tiny Tim. Scrooge starts to takes pity on Tim when the ghost abruptly said that Tim will likely not survive until next Christmas. The ghost warns Scrooge about the evils of "ignorance" and "wants". Right there ,he was taken back to present.* *Finally, the* ***ghost of Christmas Yet to come*** *arrived appearing as a dark shadow, and takes Scrooge into the future. He witnessed a group of businessmen discussing the death of an unnamed colleague, saying they would only attend the funeral if lunch is provided. After being chased across London by the Ghost, Scrooge recognizes his chairwoman Mrs. Dilber selling the stolen possessions of the deceased. Shortly afterwards, Scrooge sees the aforementioned colleague's body on a bed, followed by a vision of a family who is relieved that he is dead, as they have more time to pay off their debt. The spirit transports Scrooge to Bob's residence, discovering that Tiny Tim has died. Scrooge is then escorted to a cemetery, where the Ghost points out his own grave, revealing Scrooge as the man who died. Realizing the consequences upon his actions, Scrooge decides to change his ways just as the Ghost forces him to fall into his empty coffin lying in a deep grave that sits above the fires of Hell.* *And then he wakes up in his room. He is so happy that it was all a dream(or was it?). His housemaids was so shock seeing him dancing and singing and they think that he lost his mind. Then he heard a kid selling a turkey outside his house, he called the kid and told him to bring a turkey, a big turkey to his assistant Bob Cratchit. He also went to his nephew's house Fred for a Christmas dinner where he is warmly welcomed. The next morning, he surprise his assistant Bob a raise and help Tiny Tim to get well from his illness and became a father figure to him.* *A changed man, Scrooge now treats everyone with kindness, generosity and compassion; he now embodies the spirit of Christmas.* `My favorite part of this movie was when the ghost of Christmas Present takes him to Bob's house. When he saw the family crying because Tim might not survive. I really cried on that part. And also when Scrooge wakes up as a change man.` This movie reminds as that **money cannot buy happiness.** No matter how wealthy you are, you will always need someone, either a family or friend to be with you. You will always want to be loved and someone to spend the rest of your life with. @damelindz❤❤❤

@Crizaah A very gloomy yet hot summer feeling afternoon to all of you. I have been contemplating on what to write yet. Then there is a certain story that i have finished writing but gets unpublished by the bot although it was completely revised, rewritten based on my understanding of the story. But it's okay. While doing that article, my daughter was also doing hers. She told me that I look so serious and laughed at me, hahahaha. Then she became naughty and snap a photo. Let me share some of it. This was all taken a while ago. Do I look serious? Do I? Hahahaha, okay maybe a little. 😉 Having my daughter in read.cash makes me happy. It became our bonding moment. We spend more time, exchanging ideas on what to write in read.cash. By the way, her account is @Crizaah ,it's her new account actually. She abandoned her old one because all her comments there were labeled as spam though she was new in this platform. That's all guys! Now I have to work on my next article again. I hope you liked our photos! @damelindz ________________________

Earn XRP for Free While looking at may Facebook a while ago, I bumped into some post regarding a site where I can earn XRP for free. So I looked at her proofs and tried to sign up. By the way XRP was my first cryptocurrency. After signing up, I explored the site to know how to earn XRP. And I found out that you can earn xrp by solving captcha. So I tried 10 captchas and withdraw it. And it is legit! I got my payment real time directly in my coins.ph. So without further adou, let me share how to sign up on this site. First, just click this link https://freecrypto.site/483215 Then all you have to do is sign up using google or Facebook account. After that, this is what it looks like. Next thing you have to do is change your wallet address. Click the change wallet and put your XRP address in your coins.ph. You can now proceed to captcha. You just have to scroll down to see where the captcha is. But first you have to answer this before you proceed to captcha. And when you're done with it, you can now solve captcha. And the good thing is that there is no time interval, unlike other sites that you have to wait an hour before you can solve captcha again. So it is unli captcha! This kind of captcha is very easy, you just have to be diligent if you want to earn money. Every captcha has an equivalent amount of **drops**,which then **converted into XRP once you withdraw it into your Coins.ph wallet.** **300 drops is the minimum amount of withdrawals.** Once you reached 300 drops, you can withdraw it if you want. Just click the "withdrawal" and it will instantly go to the wallet address you've provided. You will see this once you your withdrawal is done. It's as easy as that. I can assure you that it is so easy to gather the 300 drops. You just have to solve 10 to 15 captchas. By the way, there are other ways to earn drops on this site but I haven't tried it yet because I am more focused in solving captcha. Again, here's the link👇👇👇👇👇👇 https://freecrypto.site/483215 If you have more questions, feel free to ask. **all photos are mine**

Time Traveler from 1958 On April 23, 2006, **a 25 year old man**, **Sergei Ponomarenko**, stood in a street of **Kiev, Ukraine**. He wore an old-fashioned clothes commonly seen during the USSR. In his hand was an old-fashioned camera. Sergei walked down the street with a bewildering expression. The police noticed the young man who appeared to be out of place. They stopped him an asked for his identification. When the police saw his ID, they were shocked by what it said. Sergei's ID was from the 1950s and it was issued by the USSR. Under his name "Sergei Ponomarenko" his place of birth was Kiev, and the year of his birth was 1932! But Sergei only looked only in his twenties. Sergei tried to explain who he was. But the more he explained, the more confused the police were. They believed Sergei had a mental problem. So they took him to a psychiatric hospital in Kiev. The police asked a psychiatrist named **Dr. Pablo Kutrikov** to help figure out this strange case. Sergei walked into Dr. Kutrikov's office. He observed his surroundings carefully. Sergey noticed the clock on the wall had stopped. He asked Dr. Kutrikov the time. Dr. Kutrikov checked his Swiss watch but realized that the watch too had stopped. Both the clock and th watch stopped at 12:32 pm. Sergei told Dr. Kutrikov he was born in 1932. in Kiev, and he was 25 years old. In the year 2006, Sergey still appeared as a young man in his twenties. Dr. Kutrikov asked Sergei to recall how did he came to 2006. Sergei said that he took a walk and wanted to take some pictures since it was his day off. Sergei took his camera with him. Shortly after he went home, he saw a **strange flying object in the sky, and it looked like a giant bell.** Sergei had never seen anything like it before, so he took a photo of the object. Sergey asked Dr. Kutrikov to inspect the film in his camera. and he'd know whether Sergei was telling the truth. Dr. Kutrikov asked a professional photographer **,Vadim Pozner,** to checked the film. Vadim said the type of film in Sergei's camera stopped being produced in the 1970s. ergey's camera was ma nufactured by Yashimaflex, a Japanese company. Yashimaflex cameras had become collectors' items by 2006. But none could compare the condition to Sergey's camera, because his was in a brand new condition. Since the film of the camera was out dated, it took some time to developed the photos. Just like Sergei had said, one of the photos showed there really was a **huge flying object or UFO**. Dr. Kutrikov showed the photo to Sergei. It proved that Sergei had been telling the truth. Sergey said he was shocked to see the stranged object, so he snapped a photo of it. When he turned around, he noticed that his surroundings had completely changed. He didn't recognize anything around him. And he couldn't find his way back home. Dr. Kutrikov and other experts checked the other photos developed from Sergei's film. The streets in the photos looked quite different from those in 2006. The year "1958" could be seen on the lower right corners of the pictures. Films usually can preserve well for two to three years. If films are frozen, they can be preserved for twenty years. In order to extend the life of a roll of film, it has to be placed in an airtight container and stored in a dry and cool place. But the photos from Sergei's 1958 film, however were perfectly new and not damaged at all. If Sergei were not a time traveler from the past, then it was just incredible that his film could be so well preserved. Upon inspecting the pictures further, Dr, Kutrikov and others spotted a young couple. The man was Sergei himself, and the woman was his girlfriend **Valentina Kulik**. In the picture, Sergey wore exactly the same clothes as he was wearing in 2006. Dr. Kutrikov believed the pictures were authentic, and the flying object was a UFO. **In April 25,2006, Sergei returned to his room after finishing a conversation with Dr. Kutrikov. This was their last conversation.** Because Sergey's story was so incredible, Dr. Kutrikov needed some time to organize his thoughts. He was not sure whether to believe Sergey was time traveler from 1958. Shortly after Sergei went back to his room, hospital staff noticed that he disappeared. When the police checked the surveillance video, they only saw footage of Sergey entering the room. There was no footage of him leaving the room. The windows were barred by iron railings on the outside. So it was impossible that Sergey escaped through the windows. Yet Sergey disappeared just like that. People believed there was only **one possible explaination, Sergei had returned to the year he had come from.** The woman in one of the pictures was Sergei's girlfriend. If she was alive, she would be the only clue and witness to this strange episode in history. Fortunately, the police were able to find Valentina Kulik. She was 74 years old in 2006. Valentina flipped through her photo album and ffound a photo she took with Sergey in 1958. It was exactly the same photo that was found in Sergei's camera in 2006. When Dr. Kutrikov showed her the same photo, Valentina was very surprised and asked where he had gotten it. Valentina confirmed that it was authentic. Valentina recalled that Sergei once told her some very strange and extraordinary things. **Sergey had described to her what the future was like. He told her about the microwave and how easily it could cook a meal in a few minutes using electricity.** A Ukrainian television program,"**1+1 Discovery-- Time travelers**" looked into the matter. A team of experts for the TV program located an old audio recording from 1960 in the TV station's archive. The recording was an interview the TV conducted on Sergey. In the interview, Sergey talked about what technology would be like in 40 years. He mentioned the **microwave, the wireless telephone(cellphone), and the artificial heart.** Sergei described that man would be able to make an artificial heart that runs on batteries. The interviewer was shocked and said to Sergey, *"If you did not provide so much detail, I'd surely think you lost your mind."* Sergei's description of the artificial heart amazed experts too because he used modern medical terminologies which were unheard of in the 1960s in the USSR. Back in 2006, the surveillance video showed that before Sergei entered Dr. Kutrikov's office, he was observing hospital staff using a microwave. One of the staff member was reading a magazine which talked about an artificial heart. The surveillance video also showed Sergei asking the staff about their cellular phones. Thus, investigator believed that Sergei shared what he saw in 2006 with the USSR in the 1960s. The team of experts for the "1+1 Discovery" documentary included a **psychiatrist, a physicist, a photographer expert, a policeman, and other eyewitnesses.** There were videos, audio recordings, and pictures to support Sergey's account. *How much still remains unknown in our universe, which consists of time and spaces? Today, scientist are still looking for an answers. Will Science fiction become reality? We believe that one day, the mystery of time will be unveiled.* **photo and information source: Google and Youtube**

My Idea of a Perfect Christmas https://youtu.be/f3nOigETRTU I was inspired by @Jane to write this article. When I saw her article about her idea of perfect Christmas, I automatically asked her permission if can I also share my idea. However, because of her busy schedule, she hasn't responded yet so I'll just have to save this as a draft and post later right after she said yes. *At 2;26 pm, I saw @jane's response and she said yes, so gonna post it now!* What is Perfect Christmas for me? When I was young, the perfect Christmas for me was having new toys, collect money from my Ninongs and Ninangs. And then went to a mall with my sisters and Titas to watch MMFF movies. Eat in Jollibee or Mcdonalds afterwards. It was so simple yet made us happy. Now, perfect Christmas for me is not having material things or luxurious gifts. If possible, I want my family to spend Christmas on my Mother's farm, together with my sisters and nephews. I missed them so much. it's been two years when we spend our Christmas together. I don't know the reason but why is it that when you're getting old or as you age, you want to spend more time with your family? Or was it just me who feel that? But because of this pandemic, it would be impossible for us to travel because we will be wasting our time being quarantined. There is one thing that I want for Christmas, I hope Santa could see this, lol! Please let my husband get that position he applied. Please get him hired. That's all. `I love minions, they are so cute. So I choose this video hoping that` @TheRandomRewarder `would give me gifts, lol!` Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

To Overcome the Worst Good morning, while having coffee right this very minute, there's so many thoughts in my mind. This is the very first time that I had to think where to get money for our daily expenses, for the bills that were stack up. Our savings is not enough to cover all the expenses until the end of the month. My husband and I had a conversation last night. We talked about what to do for us to evercome this situation. He told me that he will look for more sideline jobs while waiting for the result on his application in Cals. Right now, he has a job but it's not permanent and it won't last. I have to think of ways to help him. My first plan is to sell home cooked meals in front of our house. I also have to tighten our budget. Then my daughter asked me about what are we going to prepare this coming christmas. I told her that still have no idea because there are so many things going on in my mind. She suggested that we don't have to prepare like before. What's important is that we are celebrating it together. I am so touched about what she said, to the point that I cried. She told me that everything is gonna be alright. That Papa will take care of everything. I have to think that we will overcome this but I still can't help to feel down. To feel depress. The feeling that we're at the lowest point of my life. ***It is not a crime to get knocked down by life, but it is a sin not to get up.*** **I know that we can, and I know that we will overcome this.** `Writing down what I feel is a way for me to release all my frustrations and problems that pulling me down. You should try it too, it really works.` ________________________

Feeling Frustrated `I know all of us have our problems and listening to mine may be a burden. But please let me vent out all frustrations that I have right now.` Last week, my husband and I argued. It is about his work. He told me that he and his boss fought over a project that is supposed to be started on the first day of December. It was a project assigned to him worth 800 thousand pesos more or less. It was all set, his boss had given him the contract. And the only thing that needed for that project to get started was the budget that his boss promised to give him before December. But under some circumstances, his boss did not keep his promise because according to my husband, his boss spends so much on his visitors that he had no money left for the said project. They argued that resulted in my husband to resign. I was so mad when he told me that he resigned. I told him that this is not the right time for him to resign. He should have endured and wait for his boss to give him the budget for the project. He told me that he knows his boss more than I do so I better stop giving him a hard time for quitting his job. After that day, we did not talk. He was avoiding me and I was to him because we both knew that we would end up fighting again. Then I called my sister, I told her everything. I was crying the whole time we were talking. I cried out of frustration. She told me that everything will be alright, that my husband will find another job and will easily get hired because of his qualifications and experiences. Of course, I know that! But what angers me is the fact that he let go of the 800 thousand and the Christmas bonus and the 13th-month pay! I don't want to be a hypocrite, but we need money. 800 thousand is 800 thousand! And we don't know if he can still have his bonus because he resigned. And the fact that he was with his boss for more than a decade. He just threw it all. And then one day he told me that he was going to apply to a company, Cals Poultry Supply. It is one of the biggest companies here in Roxas. His friend recommended him so he will give it a shot. When he went home, he was happy. He told me that he has a great shot for the position because the interviewer was impressed with his actual demonstration regarding electrical. And the friend I was talking about who recommended him is the brother of the owner of Cals Poultry, so I guess he has a 95% chance to get hired. The remaining 5% is that the interviewer told him that he was overqualified for the position. ***Remember God doesn't close one door without getting ready to open another with bigger and greater things.*** Now, we will just hope for the best. For him to be hired again. And to think positively, that everything will be just fine. `Thank you for lending me your time, I was just so frustrated that It felt like I am going to burst if I don't do something about it.`

Jose Adolfo, The Kid Who Started a Bank In business world, it is required that you have knowledge about how it works, strategies and how to deal problems in the future. Most businessman had a degree just to be good in their field. ***But did you know that there is a kid who started a bank?*** In ***Peru***, there is a kid who is only ***14 years old***. But this kid started a real bank with credit cards, employees and lots of money. ***Who is this kid and how did he start a bank?*** ***He is Jose Adolfo Quisocala Condori***. Jose is a kid with very few words. He noticed that most of his friends know nothing about money. Every time they get a dollar, they spend it on things that didn't matter. That was a problem, because these kids will grow up with ***no savings or no safety net or understanding of personal finance.*** *It is important to save money----Jose* At the age of 12, he wanted to fix this problem. So of course, like any kid would do, he started bank. ***He incorporated a Financial Institution***. ***He printed debit cards*** and give them to his classmates. Now all their allowance would go to their savings account. The more they save, the more money they make. *It's the first bank in the world started by a kid.* And it worked! Now he has over 3,000 kid customers that believed in him and 8 employees that are older than him. Together, they manage more than $50,000 in savings for kids. And educate thousands of them on how to handle money. And here's the crazy part. His bank is very different from any other banks. Because at Jose's bank, you don't even need money to start an account. He started a program to help kids make money from ***trash***. Yes, you read it right! ***Any kid can bring in plastic waste and he will recycle it for them and give them money in their bank account. This way you make money as a kid and the streets of Peru have less plastic waste.*** ***In 2018***, **Jose won an** ***International Climate Award*** for his work. Despite his age, Jose is solving two big problems. He is making the planet green and the wallets of his classmates even more green and that is impressive! **photo/information source:Google/Youtube**

The Secret King of Wikipedia **This guy is the** **Secret King of Wikipedia. He is the World's biggest Wikipedia editor. He stays in his room editing Wikipedia more than 3,000,000 times!** Who is he and why is he doing this? How much knowledge does he have? Let's talk about it in this article. His name is **Steven Pruitt**, he lives in a small town in Virginia, USA. He has a normal job and a normal life. When he was 16 years old, when Steven was still in university, he came across a small unknown encyclopedia that anyone can contribute to. So he had the idea to write about his great great grandfather **PETER FRANCISCO**, who fought the American Revolutionary war. *I thought it'd be fun to write about Peter because I knew about him and the family knew about him but he wasn't in any mainstream encyclopedias----Steven* So Steven wrote about his ancestor, publish it and then from that one article, he got excited! He could now educate the world from his basement. *What I love about Wikipedia is that it allows you to cover topics not usually found in the mainstream western media. It allows anybody in the world to have their voice.-----Steven* So he wrote another article and another and another and before he knew it he's written **thousands.** *It started...and it was sort of like, Oh well that's cute. And then when I started getting a lot of credits for it, there comes a point, it goes from that you tell people and they're like "You have how many edits?"----Steven* So far he has edited more than 3 million and written more than 35,000 articles. And the best part is he's been doing this for 16 years, 3 hours a day and he wasn't even paid a single dollar to do it! **Why is he doing this for free?** *To be perfectly honest, I've never been very good at making money. My mother grew up in Soviet Union and from the stories that she's told me, I understand what its like to live in a place where access to information is so heavily guarded. If you make this information free then the more people that have access to it can do more with it, and it makes for a freer, better and ultimately stronger society.----Steven* But the question in everyone's mind is...**How accurate is Wikipedia? Dogs As a Teacher Dogs are man's bestfriend. I guess no one would object. We all know how dogs are so loyal to their person. We become more social with dogs. They give us purpose in life. And in return, you become their world. A simple belly rub could make them happy. **Dogs as a teacher** We can learn so many things from dogs that could make us happy like, **When your loved ones come home, always run to greet them.** We tend to forget how to be affectionate by simply greeting our loved ones when they got home. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstacy Take naps Stretch before rising Run, romp, and play daily. Always have time for a little chat, playtime, simple bonding time but gives joy to each and everyone. Avoid biting when a aimple growl will do. Let's avoid to get angry easily, if you can talk it out. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. Enjoy the view. Delight in a simple joy of a long walk. Be faithful. Never pretend to be somerhing you're not. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it. When someone is having a bad day,be silent, stay close by, and nuzzle them gently. It means be there and always listen to them. Sometimes being there is enough to lighten their problems. These simple things we often neglect could make us happy. ***Live simply.*** ***Love generously.*** ***Care deeply.*** ***Speak kindly.*** **photos from google**

Truths Everyone Should Accept in Life What are the truths you should accept in life? Most people have low self-esteem and poor critical thinking skills, which often result in a reactionary mentality. Whatever you try to do, they will always be the forces holding back changes, and development. Luck is an asshole that does not quite exist. Humans are born naked, it is the system that takes away your opportunities and give it to others, making some more advantaged than others. Shit happens, because some people want it happens. Politics is the supreme art of social management, including your friends, family, acquaintances. You must always think before you act. You must always be aware of possibilities. You must always think for the forever. Everything is politics. A minute of your life today costs six million years, since apes first found intelligence, to be made. Make every moment worth. Trust is expensive, but trust is necessary for progress. You often mistrust during the process. Love inherently comes from virtues. Looks, and wealth are only powerful additional factors. The greatest destruction of the world does not come from the violence of the tyrants, but the silence of the people who group-think. The new illiteracy is believing in misinformation, and most of us are illiterate. Again, we are illiterate, because some people want us illiterate. Everything is connected to each other, in a dialectical way. Your failure may be someone else’s will. Your success may be someone else’s mistake. When traditions become the chains that bound development, it is a must those traditions be destroyed. Revolution is the only force that brings changes. “In a board game, you cannot be either the king or queen, but the player, the player is most powerful.”

Why do Filipinos use Honorifics? **Filipino culture is not egalitarian like contemporary European culture but is more like the stratified culture of Spain when it was a colonial master.** However, it has been modified with some egalitarian American values that allow people to move up and down the socio-economic and power-authority levels at various stages in their life. **Filipino children are taught to be respectful of their elders so they have to speak certain words that reflect their subordinate status compared to other people.** They call older children or cousins as “Kuya” (Big Brother) or “Ate” [Ah-teh] (Big Sister). They are also taught to call any substantially older person as either “Tito/Tiyo” (Uncle) or “Tita/Tiya” (Auntie) even if they are not kin-related. Much older people who are above forty or fifty years old can be respectfully called “Tatay” (Daddy) or “Nanay” (Mommy) if they feel close to them. They call people in their sixties or older as “Lolo” (Grandfather) or “Lola” (Grandmother). As they grow up and the teenagers become young adults in their early twenties, they can already take their place as maturing members of society but there are still others who are older and more experienced than them. **They call these people “Sir” or “Ma’am” even when they are not directly the superiors or supervisors.**Customers or guests are also called “Sir” or “Ma’am” by the Filipino staff of various establishments. **Other alternatives for this practice is for them to call a more senior person as “Boss,” “Chief,” or “Manager.”** *Filipino society puts a value on people knowing the relative status of other people around them.* **There is stratification in terms of relative age as well as according to relative socio-economic status (superior versus subordinate, elder versus younger, richer versus poorer).** It is not as rigid as the caste system in Indian culture but is an unconscious way of life among Filipinos who grow up in the Philippines. Filipinos who grow up in Westernized countries may or may not acquire it, depending on how strong the parents imposed their Filipino values at home on their children. **This form of stratification and categorization of people according to rank, age, status, power, or wealth is not discriminatory but designed to avoid conflicts and smoothen the interaction between people who don’t know each other well and may never become very close friends with each other.** It is also designed to speed up or make more efficient the transfer of goods and services between people of all walks of life. For example, a street vendor who is not well educated and lives a hand-to-mouth existence can approach a high-status, well-educated, or wealthy individual by acting a bit subservient and calling him “Sir,” “Boss,” or “Chief.” If known, he may also use other titles of prestige and power: “Heneral,” “Koronel,” “Komandante/Major,” “Kapitan,” “Tenyente,” “Sarhento,” “Cabo/Corporal,” “Hepe/Chief,” “Pinuno,” “Mayor,” “Don,” “Attorney,” “Doctor,” “Director,” “Manager,” “Supervisor/Bisor,” etc. If the actual rank is not known, this may be embellished further by “applying more grease” and tentatively raising the social rank of the other person being addressed in the hopes that it will (1) fend of any possible irritation or offense, and (2) encourage him to pay for the goods or services being offered. ***It is now natural and socially expected for younger or low-status Filipinos to be slightly or obviously subservient to the more elderly and high-status members of society.*** *So you may ask what is the reason to go to all these lengths to identify and amplify the rank of the person being addressed?* **It is a survival technique developed by the powerless and lowly sectors of society to avoid being punished or scolded severely by the obviously higher-ranked and more authoritative individuals they may encounter.** If a local was so rash as to publicly disrespect another person of higher status or authority, he could be subjected to severe punishments or reprisal that he could hardly avoid. It used to happen during the Spanish period that the Spanish colonial masters would act domineeringly against the local natives whom they disparagingly called “Indios” (a term that the locals resented but could not do much about). Indios could be flogged or beaten by soldiers ordered around by their officers or even the Catholic priests and the wealthy aristocrats. **Imagine centuries of such one-sided domination against the locals that is only now becoming ameliorated or steadily diminished as the Philippines enters the 21st Century.** ———————- As part of their cultural, social, and linguistic interactions, nearly all Filipinos will use honorifics like “po” or “ho” in their native speech. The direct translation of “po” or “ho” in English is usually “Sir” or “Ma’am.” One can hardly have a two-way conversation in Tagalog or other Philippine languages without such honorifics. In addition, Filipinos would prefer to call people by their official title instead of just plain *Ginoo*(“Mister”), *Binibini* (“Miss”), or *Ginang* (“Missus”), if they don’t know the name of the person they are addressing, or even if they do know it. It seems to give more prestige to the person addressed if his academic, collegiate, bureaucratic, military, police, and/or professional titles are used instead of the just plain everyday “Mister.” However, many females (not all) who don’t have professional titles are quite happy to be called “Miss” or “Missus,” as appropriate. Generally, only Filipinos who belong to a similar age group and/or social stratum will call each other by their first names and/or nicknames. If one of the Filipinos is younger or less educated or lower-positioned than the other, they will be the first to use “po” or any other honorific title, while the person so addressed may also use “po” and bask in the prestige accorded him. People who have different position titles or social rank who are not acquainted with each other well, will usually call each other by their titles, such as “Honorable Mayor,” “Doctor,” “Engineer,” “Attorney,” “Judge,” etc., as this implies mutual respect of each other’s accomplishments. This may all seem confusing to foreigners but it allows Filipinos to deal directly and smoothly with strangers (who are also other Filipinos) without causing any type of inadvertent offense. A high-ranked foreigner from an egalitarian Western culture who tries saying , “I’m pleased to meet you. Call me Bob.” will probably be answered by most Filipinos with “Anything you say, Sir Bob.

Eminent, Imminent, Eligible, Illegible In this article, we will talk about these words, their differences, and how to use it properly. Like my previous works related to this, these words are often used incorrectly. Honestly speaking, I am one of those who are not used to these words that is why I used it in the wrong way.  Let us begin with the words **Eminent** and **Imminent.** **Eminent** means **established** or **prominent** or famous and respected in life or profession. For example; She is one of the **eminent** figures in her field. **Tip: Just combine the letter E in Established and "minent" in the word proMINENT, you'll get the word EMINENT.** **Imminent** means **immediate,** or something that is **about to happen.** For example; She is in **imminent** danger. Next words are **eligible** and **illegible.** **Eligible** is used to describe someone who is **qualified** for a job, profession, or description. So if I say, *He is an eligible bachelor*, it means he is acceptable or qualified to be a Bachelor.  **Illegible** is about **handwriting, unreadable handwriting,** or what others called a chicken scroll. This is often used to describe the doctor's handwriting, I guess I don't need to say more about it because we all know how unreadable their handwritings are. Here's a tip not to get mixed up with these words, with **EL**igible, you just have to remember the word **EL**ite.  While in **ILL**egible, just remember the word **ILL**egal because they both have a negative connotation. **Quick Quiz** You can save your company from ____ bankruptcy by getting an ____ troubleshooter to take the lead. He was ____ for promotion, but he was disqualified because of his ____ handwriting. You can leave your answer in the comment section below. `I was asked before by` @Laurenceuuuu `if I am a teacher because of these kinds of articles that I wrote, but NO, I am not a teacher. I just came up with this kind of content because I am also confused about it. And to remind me of how to use them.` ________________________

Run free Baby Two Just two days ago, I wrote an article about my furbaby Luna giving birth to four litter, namely, Uno, Two, Tres, and Four. Unfortunately, only Two had survived. Two was small compared to a normal size of a newborn kitten and she looks weak. I don't know but I think it has something to do with Luna's pregnancy. Also, Luna don't have milk so I tried to bottle fed Two. Although Luna is feeding her, there are no changes in her body. Now, after two days of effort, sleepless nights just to save Two, she passed away. I am so heart-broken. It felt like I lost a child. Maybe, many of you would think that I am exxagerating, but once you're a furmommy and you treat your pets as your own, you will understand how devastating it is losing a furbaby. **Run free Baby Two, my heart is with you.**

Selfie **What is selfie?** According to Wikipedia, A selfie is a self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a digital camera or smartphone, which may be held in the hand or supported by a selfie stick. Selfies are often shared on social media, via social networking services such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram. They are often casual in nature. Ever since smartphones were created, **selfie** became a favorite thing to do for many people of all ages, from young to young at heart. They take photos when they're in a nice place, in a restaurant or even inside the house. It is like a booster that will boost our self-esteem especially when the result is perfect. Most people took selfies to a higher level. They took selfies in most unlikely places like hanging on mountain peaks, cliffs, or on building rooftops. I don't know why they do that. But I guess, they want a thrill or to gain fame. I would call them **daredevils.** Whatever their reasons are, it is still not safe to do selfies in places that would put your life in danger. I can't imagine myself doing this nor thinking of doing this. Selfie is also a great way to express how you feel. If you're sad, you'll take a selfie. If you're happy, you'll take a selfie. Or even after waking up in the morning and the caption would be like **"Woke up like this" lol!** Let me share a selfie with my daughter. This was taken a while ago. `I actually came up to write a topic about selfie because of this😂. We were having a snack when my daughter was taking a selfie and I asked her to take a selfie with me. It's been a while when we last took our selfie. And this was the result.` Believe in your #Selfie😉 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Our new Baby, Two Last night, Luna, our cat, gave birth. It is the first time that I had a pet cat giving birth so I don't know what to do. My daughter and I were so nervous and excited at the same time because we had been waiting for this moment. We were about to sleep when I noticed Luna became restless. She won't stop meowing, it keeps walking back and forth. She climbed on my lap and sit, as if she was saying, *"I'm in pain, please comfort me. "* When I saw some bloodstains on our bed, I knew then that Luna is about to give birth. So I immediately grab a little basin and some clothes and put Luna inside. I can see that she is in so much pain because she won't stop meowing. She also wants me to rub her belly and her head. Then she began to push like she was going to poop. I can feel that she was in so much pain and then finally, the first litter came out. I helped her remove the flesh that was covering her litter. But sadly, it was not breathing. I tried to revive it unfortunately, it died. My daughter named the first litter **UNO** since it came out first. After 15 to 20 minutes, Luna delivered the second litter. I helped her remove the flesh, we were so happy when it meowed. I cleaned the litter and put it in a piece of cloth. My daughter named her **TWO.** The third litter came out right after TWO but it was not breathing and it was not fully formed. My daughter cried again. She named it **TRES**. I told her it's okay, we have TWO and Luna might have another litter on her belly. About 10 minutes had passed when the fourth litter came out, but like the other two, it was already dead when it came out. It's name is **FOUR**. I feel sad about it. 4 litter but only one is alive.  It was exactly 2 am when Luna delivered her 4 litter. I can feel that she was so tired, so was I. I put the dead kittens into a piece of cloth and covered it. I cleaned Luna and let her rest while my daughter was holding Two.  We were so tired but happy that Luna survived giving birth. We now have another baby in our family. ________________________

Christmas in Our Hearts *Whenever I see girls and boys selling lanterns on the streets, I remember the child in a manger as he sleeps. Wherever there are people giving gifts exchanging cards, I believe that Christmas is truly in their hearts.* *Let's light our Christmas trees for a bright tomorrow. Where nations are at peace and all are one's in God.* *Let sing Merry Christmas and a happy holiday. This season may we never forget the love we had for Jesus. Let Him be the one to guide us, as another New year starts, And may the spirit of Christmas be always in our hearts.* This is the song popularized by Jose Mari Chan. Jose Mari Chan is one of the pillars of Filipino music. Though he is known for his love songs, he is also the king when it comes to Christmas songs that every Filipino child can sing the lyrics, *“Let sing Merry Christmas and a happy holiday”* without knowing the song’s title. Due to his music’s positive Christmas messages and soothing melody, Jose Mari Chan Christmas songs are played in malls throughout the Christmas season. Again, it’s a season. `When I was young, we always do caroling. I was always the leader because I was the eldest among of them. I have a very loud voice which is good when singing. And we always sang this song, it was one of our favorites. There were times that we were being chased by dogs. Sometimes we earned a lot but most of the time, less but at least we had fun.` **What is Christmas**? Christmas is celebrated every year on 25th December. It is mainly the festival of Christians. It is when Mary gave birth to the messiah Jesus Christ. But in today’s time, the festival of Christmas has surpassed the religious boundaries and become a symbol of the holistic culture. The winters in December carry a festive feeling. **C** - stands for Christ. God's greatest gift to humankind. **H** -stands for the Hope. No matter how hard life is, there is life without end. **R** - stands for the Revolution. He began turning hate in to love, war into peace, and everyone into everyone's neighbor. **I** - stands for Israel, the land where He was born. **S** - stands for the Salvation. In darkest hour of life, He give us light(salvation). **T** - stands for Thanks - thanks to the Father for the gift of His Son. The best way to say thanks is to make room for Him in our hearts. **M** -stands for Mary who gave birth to Jesus Christ. She will help to bring Him to birth in us also. **A** -stands for Angels  who at His birth sang: “Glory to God in the highest and peace to all people on earth!” - the sweetest music ever heard on earth! **S** -stands for the Star that led the wise men to Bethlehem. Now Christ is the star we follow. His is the light that will guide us through the night until the sun of eternal day dawns upon us! **How do we celebrate Christmas?** Christmas season happens during “ber” months – months that end in “ber”- therefore, from SeptemBER to DecemBER. Temperatures starts to drop in tropical Philippines during the “ber” months and the cold nights remind people that Christmas is coming. **But why that long?** The long Christmas season gives Filipinos enough time to prepare on how they will be spending their Christmas vacation, from booking their flights to working overtime to save more money for Christmas gifts. Most of all, the long Christmas sets the mood for giving, charity, and love for one another that will climax on the dinner table during the festive **Noche Buena** on Christmas Eve. People start putting their own Christmas decorations from plastic Christmas trees to Christmas themed curtains and throw pillows. Then, the streets are lit with Christmas illuminations, turning the Philippines into a country of lights with some residents sparing no part of their outdoors from Christmas lights. Gaudy or not, it can be a feast for the eyes! And on Christmas eve, families gathered to have a festive meal. Kids wait until midnight for exchange gifts( the best part of Christmas). And also to wait for Santa Claus. I was 5 years old when I found out that Santa Claus isn't real. And it was our LOlo who gave us presents every Christmas. Sad, knowing that Santa do not exist but happy knowing that our Lolo loves us so mush and gave us presents. And on the day of Christmas, children will go visit their "Ninong and Ninangs" for their gifts or presents. Christmas is a day for the kids because it is when they have more money than adults. lol! **Christmas Amidst Pandemic** How are we going to celebrate Christmas that we are now against Covid19 Pandemic? Now that we need to follow health protocols to protect ourselves against Covid19, there are still ways to celebrate Christmas. We can do online caroling to our families and Ninongs and Ninangs. Then they can send their cash presents through Gcash or Coins.ph. We can also have online reunions through Google meet or Zoom. We may not be able to celebrate Christmas just like before, but what's more important is that we have our family . After all, Christmas is all about LOVE. HAPPINESS, and FAMILY. *"Christmas spirit is more powerful than we could ever imagine. People needs Christmas to remind themselves of how good they can be."* *_______****_________________***

Fill-in, Fill-up, Fill-out **What's the difference and how to use it? Let's talk about it in this article.** There are three prepositions that are used in the word **fill**, and these are **in, up**, and **out**. ***a preposition*** *is a word or group of words used before a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase to show direction, time, place, location, spatial relationships, or to introduce an object. Some* ***examples*** *of* ***prepositions*** *are words like "in," "at," "on," "of," and "to."* Let's start with **fill-up**. Fill-up is used when there is a container that needs to be full. Anything that will serve as a container for something, examples are glass, fuel tank, plastic cups, etc. So if I say "Please fill-up the glass with water" it means put water in the glass. `I have been using this word incorrectly all my life until now(embarrassed). I used to say(in local language) "Paki fill-up-pan mo yang form", which is not correct.` So, for you to be not confused, with **fill-up just remember the word container.** The next word is a **fill-in**. Fill-in is used if there is a blank space or shape that needs to be complete. For example, every time you take a test or exam, you can always see the word fill-in like "fill in the blanks." So the easiest way to remember how to use it properly is the word "**blank** **space or shape**" because you need to fill-in something to complete a sentence or a form. Last is the word fill-out. Fill-out is used in answering forms. It is used to complete a form with the requested information. So always remember the word **form** when using fill-out. Quick quiz Fill____**this form. Make sure that you fill**__**__all the blank space before you fill**____ your tank. **Related articles** https://read.cash/@damelindz/stack-up-stock-up-stuck-up-796fdb7a https://read.cash/@damelindz/stack-stock-or-stuck-861a3988 https://read.cash/@damelindz/trainer-or-trainor-cff14f77 https://read.cash/@damelindz/stationary-or-stationery-9d8f5846 https://read.cash/@damelindz/horror-homonyms-part-2-da9b03d4 https://read.cash/@damelindz/homonym-horrors-alumna-alumnae-alumnus-alumni-09ccbc23 `Thank you for reading. Proud Mama I can't help but be proud of my daughter. Today, she finally joined read.cash. I have been bugging her to join for a month, but due to her busy schedule in class, she won't do it. And then finally, tadaaaa! My daughter is only 17 years old, a senior high student. She loves to dance, that's her talent. She was a majorette from grade 4 until grade 7. I would say that she was a late bloomer in school. In elementary, she was just an average student. She also experienced being bullied at school. She only had a few friends. But entering highschool, she has evolved. She became more active in school, gained more friends and being one of the top student in their class. Of course, like any other teens these days, she is sometimes a pain in the ass. She is a teenager afterall. She also loves to sketch. Maybe she got it from her father because I don't have a talent in drawing. Though she just discovered it just recently(during quarantine), I can say that if she would just pursue it, she would become good at it. These are some of her work, Now, having her in the same platform and being able to read her piece and seeing that some users noticed her work, **I FEEL SO PROUD OF HER.** @rainbowsalt *, anak I am so proud of you. Mama and Papa will always support you. You are our greatest treasure and we love you❤❤❤* ________________________

Unsolved Mystery: The Green Children of Woolpit The story happened in the small town of Woolpit in Suffolk, England sometime during the 12th century. Just like an ordinary day, people in Woolpit woke up early to attend to their farms. Suddenly they've heard loud cries coming from one of the wolf-trapping pits for which the town is named. The pits—designed to lure and ensnare dangerous wolves—were likely at least twice as tall as the children and a couple of hundred square feet in area. But that day, they found 2 children instead of wolves, a boy and a girl. They help the children get out of the pit. But they were surprised by the children's skin color, which is green. They're also wearing strange clothing. And when they try to talk to the children to ask about where they came from, the children spoke an unknown language. A language that none of them could understand. Right there and then, they have decided to take the children to their small city. At first, they struggled to find a place for the children because they don't have enough money with them. Eventually, a person named **Richard de Calne** took them in. He offered them food to eat. Though you can see on the children's faces that they were hungry, they did not eat the food. People thought that maybe the children were picky eater. So they offered them different kinds of foods, from meats, fruits, and vegetables. Out of all those, the children only ate the green beans. They ate it as if they haven't eaten for days. Months had passed that they only ate green beans until one day they have learned to eat other foods like bread and meat. One day, the boy got sick for an unknown reason. He was brought to the nearest hospital but unfortunately, the doctors could not save him, the boy died. Years had passed, the girl lives peacefully. The girl adjusted to her new life. The green color of her skin began to fade. The people taught her to speak English and named her **Agnes**. When she learned to speak English, people asked her where she came from and they were surprised by her story. According to Agnes, she came from a land called **" The Land of Saint Martin"**, where everything was green and it was always twilight. She also explains how they get to Woolpit England. She said that one day when looking for their father they got lost and found a cave. Because they were too young and got curious, they continue to walk inside the cave. While walking, they suddenly feel dizzy and disoriented until they saw a light ahead, they follow the light and end up in Woolpit. She also said that she was so amazed at how the houses in Woolpit were built because, according to her, houses from their place were not the same as the houses in Woolpit. **Amazing story, right? But through many years, what could be the reasonable explanations based on the experts about the story?** First, let's talk about their skin color. Over the centuries, there were several accounts recorded having green skin color. This complication is called **hypochromic anemia or chlorosis** from the Greek word " Chloris" which means greenish-yellow. The reason behind this is having a bad diet that affects the color of the blood. But this does not explain the unknown language and a place where always twilight and everything else. Now, if you are leaning towards the explanations from people who believe in extraterrestrial beings, you are in for a treat. Based on a book written by **Robert Burton** in 1621 entitled "**The Anatomy of Melancholy",** states that the 2 children fall from the sky. And accidentally went to Woolpit. This claim seems to be farfetched but who knows? Last but not the least, the children came from a hidden place right inside our planet. This place is known as " **Agartha**", **home for advanced civilizations under our planet**. It is said that in some way, the 2 children got access to the surface level of the Earth, and end up in Woolpit. This supports the story that the children went through a cave and end up in Woolpit. And that the place where the 2 children came from was always twilight. The sun does not rise in that place. And all they can see is green. Who knows what really happened? Now, this story remains a mystery. This is one of the many unsolved mysteries in our world. There are still people who look for an answer about the **Mystery of the green children of Woolpit.** `I was so amazed by this story that I can't help myself but to share it with you guys. I hope you like how I retold the story.` **photos and information source: Google** ________________________
