The Crisis of Religious Essence in My Country

In ancient times, the human species lived in uncertainty. Many innocent people are victims of human moral corruption. Conflict is everywhere. Then, one of the humans comes to straighten the morals of other humans. A human being who straightens the morals of other humans is considered a messenger of God, then religion is created. With the birth of religion, social life and moral values ​​are created.

With the development of religion, humans also get peace, not only peace in life but also inner peace is also obtained by human groups. That way, every human being can unite in life in harmony.

In religious teachings, moral rules are written in a book. In the book it is explained that humans are part of the great, they call it God, God, Allah, etc. The bearers of this religion also teach humans to let go of the ego and must unite with the great one. Until now, there have been many religions that have emerged. Every religion has different sects.

But, in my current country, religion has experienced a crisis. People in my country who follow religion no longer learn the essence of that religion, so religion becomes a justification for their selfish attitude. Some prioritize their religion but sacrifice the interests of other religions. Adherents of the majority religion become arrogant towards adherents of minority religions.

Then, what I see most often is that religion is used as a tool to achieve political power. Usually, in the run-up to the election, issues sensitive to religion are raised so that society is divided, forming dirty political camps. With the chaotic situation due to religious clashes, the rulers benefited from this situation.

Religious teachings in my country no longer teach the essence, so I hope that religious values ​​must be instilled in religious adherents. We must realize that we live with other people, so we must also pay attention to the interests of other groups, so that religious tolerance can be carried out properly.

Make religion as enlightenment and peace for the life of all beings. Make religion teaching that is capable of educating, and civilized in every behavior. It is time for all of us to be wise in religion. Religion has too often been used as an excuse to justify human selfishness, religion has also been used too often as a tool for political interests. Hopefully, this will never happen again.
