Our Mask What we think of ourselves is completely different from what other people think of us. Because whoever we meet in life, whether it's family, relatives, friends, or even strangers, they have different versions of 'us'. It depends on our attitude or their prejudice toward us. Even we are the strangers we happen to have in mind. We don't know him. He is just a construct that we make of 'ourselves'. Or victims of constructs that we perceive as 'ourselves'. Because we rarely choose that construct, most of us just become victims of it. Therefore, when we make a relationship with anyone, in any form, the more we know deeply, the more easily we are disappointed in him. Other people like or love or even hate us, as our version of us. Once we play our version of ourselves, other people can be disappointed, if we fail to play the version of ourselves they want or what they have in mind. Disappointment comes from here, there is no distance between our fantasies about someone and reality. Then to cover it, we try to be like what most people want or like. We also wear masks, once one mask is removed, another will remain. No human is true without a mask. So why do we know that we are wearing masks, that we are different from every other person's story? So that we can know how to deal with it. It's not easy to be disappointed when for example we find the other side of the people in our lives, it turns out that it doesn't match what we want, doesn't match what we think about them. Especially the dark things, as well as ourselves. As my Master said, as long as we want to change for the better, our future will remain pure. We can also be more accepting. Accept that other people are not our property, and vice versa, we are not machines of other people's desires, even though they are very close to us. If we accept each other, mutually willingly like this, the relationship will be less conflicted from within. However, if we are not aware of our masks, we are not aware that we are living in our minds, we will demand each other, dominate each other, complain a lot, manage a lot, and the like from other people. Our minds become crowded with prejudices, which ironically often miss the point of what is real.   ***Image Source by*** ***Unsplash*** https://unsplash.com/photos/QM_LE41VJJ4

Dark Note So, am I wrong if in the end I become a wild person and need an outlet for all stressful and suffering situations? Almost every day I was at war with the desire to make a rebellion against circumstances, and it was very painful for my soul. I rely on all my complaints and my burdens on hopes and prayers that often fade when the light of dawn comes. It's all too unreasonable to me. I felt like I was walking on a thin sheet of glass that could crack and shatter at any moment until it finally hurt me. My life is nothing more than what is called a tragedy. I have no power, except to justify all the darkness and gloomy times they have built to suppress my aspirations for the future. There is nothing else that I can make a grip on, even if I can't wrap my mind with positive and happy things. What they said was like an absolute truth that I had to use as a guide to move forward. Does this mean I'm not worth more than a babu who has to obey the master's orders? Nothing more than a weakling, who lived his whole life in fear? In the end, all that pressure and coercion left scars that only I felt myself. No one cares, no one wants to understand. If there were one or two people present and acting as if they were wise people, they would end up acting the same way in the end. In the end, they will defend the opinions and views of others, until, in the end, it will only worsen the scabs from the previously rotting wounds. What can be said about the story of my life? I never want history to record and ensnare my name in red ink as a failure. I will forever bear the heavy burden of the things they have all done to me. I will carry this pain, for the rest of my life. Sometimes when I just opened my eyes, I felt a state where it felt like someone was standing strangling my neck. He savagely plunged my head into a puddle of mud. Someone kept pushing and pressing my head, I struggled and wished I could continue to breathe. But I failed! I was under so much pressure that in the end, I had to write all these stories. Every day, every time I try to push myself harder and harder to get out of all the pressure. Not to complain and hope for help. I tried to keep my mind sane so as not to get lost in nothingness. Sometimes my emotions are like the overflowing lava in the cauldron of a bubbling volcano, ready to erupt with its booming voice. I always feel alone here. There's no safe place for me to put my feet on the ground, no place where I can be comfortable. Even the house that was supposed to be heaven for me was like hell that locked me up with its eternal torment. My heart is like a sheet of thin wallpaper that is easily torn and torn here and there. Norms that are not clear the truth that makes me like a prisoner of war, who must receive punishment every day. They raped my soul. They took away my innocence and destroyed my world. Not in the least, they let me fly freely and do what I like. They laugh at me when I sink into despair, while I? I was panting and struggling alone to keep my breath! I tried so hard to keep my heart beating. I just want to get freedom for the happiness that I crave. No more nights and scary dreams. I only want one thing, 'Happy!'. In the end, I grew up to be a grown man with many gaping holes in my body. And you know, the scars of the gaping hole still bleed every time there is the slightest incident that brings tears to my eyes. I grew into a person who did not realize that all this time I had lived in a wilderness full of cruel figures, ready to pounce at any moment I was careless. I used to have every day instilling hope in myself, “One day it won't feel like this. One day it won't hurt so much. One day these memories won't make you cry so hard. One day, you will find your happiness again.” It's all a lie now. Bullshit! I won't let them steal my vote again. I have a story to tell. I have a song to sing. And I swear with all that is in me, one day it will no longer destroy me. I know that this battle is scary, but I will win this war and come out laughing with satisfaction. ***Image source by*** ***Unsplash*** https://unsplash.com/photos/20nRrCBtBaA

Miss One minute, two minutes, three minutes, up to two hours the WhatsApp messages I sent haven't changed. There are still two gray ticks, even though it is clear that Nia is online. Frustrated. I lost my mind, about how to treat this longing. I want to swipe the phone image in the top left corner. However ... "Don't call me, before I call you. Whatever happens," said Nia at the beginning of our relationship. It was a message that became an unwritten agreement between me and Nia. If I violate it, it will endanger it, especially for the continuity of our relationship. Surrender to feelings of restlessness. Waiting indefinitely. Holding back the longing until the opportunity allows us to meet even though we are online. Almost every opportunity I continue to monitor Nia's contacts. When is she online? When was the last time he opened WhatsApp? Every time she's seen online, my fingers itch to text her. But this brain forbids, remembering the message in another unwritten agreement. "Even though I'm online, if I don't call you first, don't chat, what's more, miss call." Again, I'm powerless with this rule. One thing that must be accepted forcefully and there is no appeal with the agreement made. Because it's not his will nor mine but an intolerable condition. A heavy consequence is that I have to live for the sake of love. The cold air on Friday morning was torturing my body and mind. The longing that is not cured and the bad thoughts that are often present destroy patience. Maybe now Nia is busy with that man. Damn that prejudice made my chest rumble with anger. How come? I'm here missing her half-crazy but there Nia. Oh, I can't imagine. But when that thought was gone. Other thoughts are no less pathetic even though they often present a smile in a little pleasure. When I imagine Nia's face, my brain's nerves move to evoke all the pulses in my body. Imagining about a sweet smile, and Nia's warm body in my arms. Oh, I miss her. If only she was here, I would make her unable to forget how I love him. I want to jump when the phone in my hand vibrates. An incoming video call. I can see Nia's smiling face on the screen with the name of the contact written below the photo, My Women. I quickly swiped the video image up and the call was connected. "Hi." Greet Nia with her melodious voice. She looks very beautiful and fresh with her choice of ping lipstick color. "Honey, I miss you," I replied, looking at her on the cellphone screen. There was an erratic thrill seeing Nia untangling her still wet hair. See the seepage of water at the ends of her hair that dangled in front of her chest. Sexy. "Have you showered this early?" I asked probing. "Ah, yes," she answered simply with a blush on her cheeks. Pain as if there were thousands of needles piercing the heart. Remembering that it was Friday morning and that was the reason why she had showered so early this morning. I miss her. Thinking about it half crazy, but instead, she fell asleep in the arms of the man she called true love. She still blushed when asked about his past time last night. "Honey, you can't be jealous. He has my body, but my heart is yours," said Nia. Maybe she saw how my face changed. Jealousy must be because I love her. However, that feeling was forbidden and I had to be willing when Nia's body was kissed by her husband. However, the pain was still there. Until I turned off the phone, then hit the dresser with emotion. "What's so good about having a crush on someone's wife. Thinking about it, missing it, ah, it's nice to be kissed by a man," sneered the reflection in the mirror. Making fun of my stupidity. Consequences of the Cement Factory (Short Story) Jhony has been in Jakarta for 10 years, today he gets a week's leave from where he works. Jhony feels homesick for his hometown. He missed the peaceful and beautiful state of his village. Since the death of his parents, Jhony has no family, he lives alone and moves to Jakarta to work. On Friday night, Jhony prepared clothes to be brought to Rembang Village, Central Java. Because Saturday Jhony will take a vacation to his birthplace. Jhony also missed his friends there. He couldn't wait to meet the village people who were friendly and kind to him. Saturday arrived, the weather was very sunny. Jhony went to the train station and left for Rembang Village. To get to Jhony's hometown, a fast-paced train took him to the village within 10 hours. When he arrived at the train station, Jhony ordered a motorcycle taxi to take him to Rembang Village. But while on the way, Jhony saw the farmers protesting at the village hall. Then Jhony asked the motorcycle taxi driver. *"What do they demand, sir?"* said Johnny. *"In Rembang Village there is a cement factory construction, and they refuse it,"* said the motorcycle taxi driver. Johnny was silent. He asked in his mind, "wouldn't there be job vacancies for the villagers if there was a factory there?". After 10 minutes, Jhony arrived at his village. He saw Eka who was carrying grass. *"Hey Eka, how are you,"* said Jhony. *"Wow, Jhony, you haven't been here in a long time, I'm good news here,"* said Eka. *"What about the rest of our friends? Are they still in this village?"* asked Johnny. *"Abdi and Fikri have been shot dead by the police because they are accused of being the provocateurs of the protest against the cement factory,"* replied Eka. *"Where was the cement factory built? Why did they reject it? Wouldn't there be a lot of work for the villagers if the factory was established?"* ask Jhony *"Listen to me Jhony, this is not about work. Come with me, you will be surprised to see it,"* replied Eka. then Eka took Jhony to the cement factory. Instantly, Jhony fell silent and shed tears. As it turned out, a cement factory was being built, sacrificing the forest. Many trees have to be cut down and animals have lost their homes. The factory waste also pollutes the waters of the rice fields, so many farmers fail to harvest. Jhony cried seeing the current state of his village. It used to be very cool in the village because there were still forests and tall trees. Now the village has become arid due to the existence of a factory that stands in the village. Humans are greedy, to get money, they have to sacrifice nature and the environment. Finally, Jhony stopped working in Jakarta and became an environmental activist to save nature and animals in the forest. The end. ***Image Source by*** ***Unsplash*** https://unsplash.com/photos/wW5854gAm1c

I'm Not a Korean Actress (Short Story) Hi, my name is Hana, I am a girl of Chinese descent, I live in the city of Semarang, and I study at the State University of Semarang. Today is the 1st, my mother hasn't sent me monthly money yet. I took my cell phone from my pants pocket, opened an online marketplace application, and saw a lot of discounted items there. I want to buy some, but I don't have enough money. Usually, my mother sends money every 28th but it's already the 1st, my mom hasn't sent it yet. *Tring...Tring...Tring... The sound of my cell phone ringing turned out to be Susan, my classmate at University. "Hey Susan, what's up?" I asked. "Today is the last discount, let's go shopping," said Susan. "Sorry, my mom hasn't sent me any money yet," I said. "It's okay, use my money first, later after your mother sends the money, you change it," said Susan. Because it's the last day of the big discount at the mall. I agreed to borrow money from my friend. After all, my mother would send money for me. "Okay Susan, I'll get ready first," I said. "Okay, I'll pick you up now," said Susan. "All Right," I replied. 10 minutes later, Susan called me from outside the house and we went to the mall to hunt for discounts. "Wow, there are so many people here," I said "You know, this is the last day of the discount," said Susan. We are also looking for clothes to buy. Susan bought a dress, blazer, and blouse. Meanwhile, I bought shirts, pants, and hats. The products here are of very good quality. While waiting in line to pay, an employee took a photo of me secretly. I know she took my picture, but I pretended not to know. After a while the employee came up to me and said; "Annyeonghaseyo, jal jinaejyo?" said the employee. I was silent and confused. What did she say? I asked myself. Then I just smiled at her. "May I take a picture with you?" asked the employee. "Of course I can," I replied. The female employee took some photos with me with her cellphone camera, and not long after that several visitors also asked for a photo with me in the shopping queue. I'm getting confused, what the fucking happened? I'm like a celebrity that many people admire. Finally, my curiosity was answered after the female employee said; "May I have your autograph Park Shin Hye?" "What???" I didn't know what to say, so they thought I was a Korean actress. I didn't want to disappoint them, so I just smiled. But, how do I know the signature of "Park Shin Hye"?? The End.

Street busker story That night it rained very hard, from a distance a man could be seen running in the rain and knocking on someone's house. The man's name is Budi. "*Nina, open the door!*" said Budi, knocking on the door. Not long after, the door was opened by Nina, Budi's wife. Seeing her husband was drenched in the rain, Nina immediately took a towel and made warm tea for her husband. "*If it rains, you should take shelter first,*" said Nina. "*I'm afraid you'll be worried Nina,*" said Budi. "*So, how much money did you earn today?*" asked Nina. While removing the money in the red plastic bag, Budi gave all the money to his wife. "*It's only like this,*" said Budi, handing Nina the money. "*If only IDR 50K is not enough, Budi,*" said Nina. "*Tomorrow there will be more,*" said Budi. Then, Budi immediately went to his room to change his wet clothes. After that, he sat on the kitchen chair while enjoying his wife's hot tea. While enjoying hot tea, Budi turned on a song from his cellphone and then burned a cigarette. At that time, Budi asked Nina, Budi's wife. "*We've been married for 10 years, do you regret being with me?*" asked Budi. "*What are you talking about? If I regret it, I've left you a long time ago,*" answered Nina. Budi smiled at Nina's answer. They continued their casual conversation while enjoying hot tea on a rainy night. The next morning, Budi went to work as a street busker. While on the way to a terminal, Budi saw a luxury car with an open window. Inside the car seat, you can see a wallet and an iPhone XII cellphone, which is very expensive. "*What fool would leave valuables with the glass open like this?*" asked Budi. Budi stood in front of the car window while looking left and right. For more than half an hour Budi stood beside the car singing and playing his guitar. Not long after, a couple of husband and wife came and said to Budi. "*Hey, what are you doing next to my car?*" said the man who had just arrived. "*Surely you want to steal right?*" said his wife. Then he took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Budi also said; "*My appearance is dirty, but I always keep my heart and intentions clean,*" Then Budi continued his explanation, "*I've been here for more than half an hour to keep your wallet and cellphone in the car because the car door is open and easy for others to steal,*" Budi immediately walked away saying "*next time, be careful to put valuables,*". The two husband and wife couples were silent and bowed their heads in shame because they had prejudiced against someone. A million-dollar painting On a sunny Sunday morning, Rico, a 10-year-old boy, took his father Herman to visit an art gallery in Nganjuk city. "*Dad, it's Sunday, let's go there,*" Rico asked his father. "*Okay, I am, get ready first, son,*" Herman replied. They also went to the art gallery by motorbike. Every week, Rico always takes his father to the art gallery, because Rico has fallen in love with art. Even Rico often wins painting competitions at the school level. Likewise, with Herman, Rico's father, the man is also a talented street artist. But Herman is so idealistic, that the 40-year-old man is not famous. While in the art gallery building, Rico was amazed by the sculpture and carving exhibition there, while Herman's gaze was fixed on a very dark abstract painting. The painting was made by an anonymous artist named "**The Gloomy**". It is said that after the painting was made, the artist jumped into the abyss and his body was not found. After seeing many works of art in the art gallery building, the two of them went home, but Herman kept thinking about the abstract painting that the gloomy man had made. After taking Rico home, Herman went to Kukup beach to just relax and feel the sea air while enjoying coconut water picked straight from the tree. From a distance, precisely on a cliff, Herman saw a cave on the cliff wall and saw someone sitting at the mouth of the cave. "*How can there be someone on that cliff?*" Herman asked. The person sitting at the mouth of the cave realized that Herman was watching him. Then he entered the cave. Herman, who was very curious about the cave, immediately started his motorbike and headed to the cave. After reaching the top of a high cliff, Herman was even more confused, "*how I can go down to enter the cave?*" Herman asked. At the edge of the cliff, there is a large tree with roots that tower down. Then Herman held on to the roots of the big tree and slowly descended. After entering the cave, Herman was amazed by the beauty of the cave. In the cave, Herman saw many very beautiful and enchanting works of art. There are various sculptures, carvings, and paintings that are very beautiful. Then a man with long hair blended with a mustache and beard stood before Herman. Then Herman said, "*Did you make all this?*" Herman asked. "*Yes, these are all mine,*" said the man. “*You are a great artist, what is your name?*” Herman asked. "*I'm the gloomy artist,*" replied the man. "*OMG, I just saw your abstract painting at the art gallery with my son,*" said Herman. After much chat with the man, it turned out that Herman had just found out that the abstract painting had been robbed and the robbers had pushed it into a ravine. Then fake news was made and it was said that the gloomy man had committed suicide. Before the incident, the gloomy man told him that he and his girlfriend were fighting. The Gloomy refuses an offer of one million dollars for a painting of his, his girlfriend is furious that The Gloomy refuses the offer. So, his girlfriend pays a group of people to seize abstract paintings and create fake news stories about suicide. After more than two hours of chatting with the gloomy, Herman said goodbye to go home. The gloomy man gave him a cool wood carving and a painting he had just made for display at Herman's house. The gloomy man gave a message to Herman that these carvings and paintings should not be sold to anyone. One more message from the gloomy to Herman to keep the gloomy person hiding a secret. Herman also promised to take good care of The Gloomy gift and would not tell anyone where The Gloomy secret was hiding. The end. ***The lead image source by*** ***Unsplash*** https://unsplash.com/photos/O7kjKKuUyCA

Misunderstanding That night, it rained very hard plus the weather was quite cold. Roni was sitting in the living room sipping coffee and smiling when he saw his sister Lina was studying. Lina is currently in the third grade of high school, and in the next two months, the girl will take the graduation exam. "*So, after graduating from school, what are your plans?*" asked Roni. "*I want to continue studying in University,*" Lina replied, "*But, I don't want to bother you, so I'm looking for a job first to pay for college,*" Lina continued. "*Don't be like that, let me work hard so you can reach your goals,*" said Roni. "*Since Mother and Father have died, you have worked too hard to pay for my school and life, I don't want to burden you,*" said Lina. "*Don't think about it, just focus on your future okay,*" said Roni Roni got up from his seat and headed to the terrace of the house, burning his cigarette and watching the rain falling while thinking about how to get extra money so that he could pay for his sister to enroll in the university. Then Roni took out his android phone and looked for additional job vacancies. The next morning, Roni gets ready to go to the market to work as a porter. Likewise, with Lina, the girl said goodbye to her brother to go to school. "*Roni, I've prepared breakfast on the table, I'm going to school first,*" said Lina. "*Have you had breakfast?*" ask Roni "*Not yet, but I've already packed it for school meals,*" Lina answered. "*Well, you be careful on the way,*" said Roni. After finishing breakfast, Roni immediately went to Kidul Market to work. While at the market, Roni saw a courier delivery person giving a package of food to an employee in the Kidul market area. Roni thinks that if he becomes a food delivery courier, Roni can earn more money for his and his sister's living expenses. In the afternoon, Roni's job as a porter has been completed, because, at noon, the visitors at the Kidul Market have started to quiet down. So, Roni goes to a food company to apply for a job as a courier. Incidentally, a food company needs workers to deliver food, Roni is also accepted to work there. So, currently, Roni has two jobs. In the morning he works as a porter at the Kidul market, and in the afternoon he works as a food delivery person. Roni is indeed a hard worker, his ambition to make his sister successful should be applauded. In the evening after sunset, Roni went to the kitchen to make coffee, there was also Lina who was frying fish for their dinner. Then Roni gave the good news to his little sister. "*Lin, I got a new job today,*" said Roni. "*What kind of job?*" asked Lina "*I just got a job as a food delivery guy,*" said Roni. "*Then you don't work in the market anymore?*" Lina asked. "*I'm still working at the market, I'm working to deliver food during the day, so after I finish working at the market, I continue to work as a food delivery,*" answered Roni. "*Thank goodness for that,*" said Lina. Day after day passed. In the morning until noon Roni works as a porter at Kidul market, in the afternoon until evening Roni works as a food delivery courier. The man does his job with enthusiasm because he has a goal to achieve. At 03.00 pm, Roni delivered food to an electronics store. Roni saw a poster pasted on the wall of the shop that said "Labor as Shopkeeper is needed". Then Roni asked a cashier at the store. "*Excuse me miss, I want to ask,*" said Roni to the cashier. "*Yes, what do you want to ask, sir?*" said the cashier. "*Is it true that there is a need for labor here?*" asked Ron. "*Yes, that's right, but for the afternoon until the evening,*" replied the cashier. "*What a coincidence, I work as a food courier only until the afternoon, can I work here?*" asked Ron. "*Wait here for a moment, sir, let me first report to the store owner,*" replied the cashier. Roni was waiting at the store, soon after that, the store owner named Mrs. Susi came. "*Good afternoon Mrs,*" said Roni. "*Yes, good afternoon,*" said Mrs. Susi. "*Is it true that you need workers in this store?*" asked Roni, "*I want to work in this store as a shopkeeper from the afternoon to the evening,*" he continued. "*Okay, if you want, tomorrow you can come here to work,*" answered Mrs. Susi. "*Thank you very much Mrs, I will do very well here,*" said Roni. Roni is very happy to be accepted to work at the electronics store, now Roni has three jobs at once, he will get more money. Then he continued his work delivering food. Two weeks later when Roni was delivering food, he saw a woman who suddenly fainted. Roni immediately approached the woman and immediately helped her. According to Roni, the woman had respiratory disease, so she was sure that the woman was carrying the medicine in her pocket or purse. While looking for medicine in the bag, two strangers happened to pass by. They thought that Roni was stealing the belongings of the sleeping woman. The two strangers took a picture of Roni who was looking for medicine in the woman's pocket and bag. After finding respiratory medicine from the bag, Roni treated the woman who had fainted until she woke up from her fainting. The woman thanks Roni for saving her. But a new disaster begins. The two foreigners who took photos of Roni uploaded the photo to social media until it went viral. People think that Roni is a thief. One of the workers at a food company saw Roni's viral photo and told his boss. When Roni arrived there, the boss immediately got angry and fired Roni. Not only that, but the boss at the electronics store also knew about the viral photo. Mrs. Susi, the owner of the electronics store, immediately called Roni and fired him too. Roni's fate is very unfortunate, he sits on the sidewalk and crying, because he can't fulfill her sister's wish to go to college. In his desperation, Roni burned a cigarette of his own, he had thought of robbing rich people, but he immediately realized that it was a bad deed. Suddenly, a white luxury car stopped in front of Roni. When the car door opened, a woman got out of the car. It was the woman Roni had helped yesterday. "*Why are you crying? What happened?*" the woman asked. "*I've been working hard at their company, but they fired me because they thought I was a thief,*" said Roni while showing a photo of himself that was going viral on social media. "*Oh, so it's about a misunderstanding, I will clarify about this incident in the media, so that your name is back,*" replied the woman. "*But I've already been fired, I'm the breadwinner of the family, I have to pay for my sister to go to university so she can reach her goals. If just a porter in the market, it won't be enough,*" said Roni. "*Don't worry, you can work in my company with a good position, I will also give a scholarship to your sister and cover her tuition fees until she graduates,*" the woman said. "*But I can't operate a computer, will I be able to do the job?*" asked Roni. "*Our staff will teach you how to operate a computer, I'm sure you can,*" said the woman. Roni wept and thanked the woman. He didn't expect to meet such a kind person. Now Roni's life is better than before, he has become a supervisor and his sister can study at a superior university. If we do good, then we will also receive good. Finished. ***The Lead Image Source by*** ***Unsplash*** https://unsplash.com/photos/afDu-GuxjjM

Amusement Park in Forest (Short Story) On a Wednesday afternoon, Tina and her sister Nia, went to Wonosari Village to visit their grandmother. They have not visited the village for more than 10 years. The journey from the city of Semarang to the village of Wonosari is quite far, it takes 15 hours by bus. Tina and Nia arrived at Wonosari village at 08.00 am. They were both very happy to meet grandma. Their grandmother hugged them both happily. "Grandma misses you so much," said Grandma with a smile. "We miss Grandma too," said Tina. "How's your mother doing?" Grandma asked. "Mother is healthy, Grandma, now my mother's restaurant has a branch in Madiun," Tina replied. "Thank God, now you eat first, Grandma has cooked something delicious for you," said Grandma "Okay, Grandma" replied Tina and Nia at the same time. They ate and rested for a while in their room. The evening arrived, Nia who was bored at that time, wanted to go out for a walk. Nia wants to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of Wonosari village. The last time Nia came to this village was when she was eight years old, now Nia is 18 years old. While walking in the village, from the east on the outskirts of the forest, Nia saw a boy with short hair and no clothes playing alone. The boy was about nine years old. Nia, who was also alone, wanted to chat with the boy. "Hey, what are you playing, bro?" Nia asked. "I'm laying stones, Sis," replied the boy. "Why are you alone, where are your friends?" Nia asked. "They are in the amusement park, sis, they don't want to take me," said the boy. Nia was silent for a moment and confused. From earlier, she had not seen any amusement park in this village, and even her grandmother did not tell Nia. Even though this village is small and is on the outskirts of the forest. Nia think that this boy was lying. "Okay, where is the amusement park?" Nia asked. "Are you going to buy a ticket for me?" the boy asked again. "Of course, take me there," said Nia. Nia and the boy went into the forest, Nia was getting confused. "There can't be an amusement park in the forest," Nia said in her mind. After walking about 300 meters, Nia was surprised to see a large amusement park in the middle of the forest. "WTF, how come," she thought. Nia buys entrance tickets for two people. The girl played contentedly in the amusement park with the boy. Starting from roller coasters, boats, to throwing dolls. Many people are happy to play there. Visitors there are also more crowded than Wonosari villagers. Meanwhile, at their grandmother's house, Tina and grandmother are worried, because the clock is showing 09.00 pm, but Nia has not come home yet. Finally, the grandmother asked the village leader for help to find her granddaughter Nia, who had not returned since this afternoon. Residents were gathered and divided into two groups. They went into the forest and shouted Nia's name, but Nia was still nowhere to be found. Tina and her grandmother cried waiting for Nia's presence. Until 11.00 pm Nia wanted to go home to grandmother because she was satisfied playing on the ride. Nia invites the boy to go home. "Let's go home, it's already late," said Nia. "I'm just here sis, just go home first," said the boy. "Okay, don't stay here too long, your mother will be worried," Nia said "Okay, sister, when you walk home, don't look back, okay?" said the boy. "Why?" Nia asked. "Just don't look back, you just keep going forward until you reach the village," said the boy. Nia then walked back to the village. On the way, the forest feels so quiet. There was no longer any noise from the crowd on the amusement park, only the sound of crickets was heard by Nia. The girl was confused and looked back. Nia was very shocked because the amusement park was no longer there. Then Nia returned to the amusement park earlier, but what Nia saw were lined tombstones. Then the girl immediately ran fast towards the village. After arriving at Wonosari village, Nia saw her sister Tina and her grandmother crying at the front door of the house. Nia ran towards them because she wanted to know what happened, so her grandmother and sister cried. "What's going on here Grandma?" Nia asked. "Where have you been Nia? We are very worried about you" said Tina. "I just played at the amusement park" Nia replied. "Are you kidding? there are no amusement parks in this small village," said Tina "I'm serious, the amusement park is in the east forest," Nia answered. Then, Nia told all the things that happened. The girl told that she met a nine-year-old boy and took her to the amusement park. Visitors there are also very crowded. Later, Grandma told Nia that what she saw were Bunian people. They are just like humans and have a life like humans. But they are different dimensions (world). Many new residents are trapped in their lives and cannot return home. They are here, but their dimensions are different from ours. Nia was silent. Until then, Nia did not dare to leave the house alone, especially in the afternoon. She didn't want to be in a different world anymore. Nia is lucky to still be able to get out of their dimension, so Nia can reunite with her sister and grandmother. The end. ***The lead image source by*** ***Unsplash*** https://unsplash.com/photos/rSJkrxTI1vQ

Gate of two worlds (Short Story) "Tejo, we run out of water, please get it in the river son," my mother shouted Mother told me to take water to the river for our daily needs. All villagers here need water for cooking, bathing, and drinking. "Okay ma'am," I replied. I immediately took two barrels of water and headed to the river. The distance from the house to the river is 200 meters, I carry this water barrel for me to fill the water ordered by my mother. On the way to the river, I enjoyed the cool breeze and the beautiful view of the rice fields and mountains. How peaceful the village in the Majapahit Kingdom is. Arriving at the river, I immediately put this water barrel under a very clear waterfall so that it was filled to the brim. While waiting for the water to be full, I sat under a shady mango tree, I saw several squirrels running on tree branches and wild rabbits playing in the grass. From under this mango tree, my eyes fell on a well that was no longer in use. People say the well can take people to the demon world. Because, one of the children had slipped into the deep well, but his body was not found. Suddenly, two partridges headed towards the well. The two partridges were eating on the edge of the well. I want to catch them for dinner tonight. I slowly crept so that the partridge didn't run away. After getting close enough, I jumped at the partridge like a tiger wanting to pounce on its prey. Damn, the two partridges were very agile, they escaped and immediately ran into the forest. As I stood up and wanted to go back to the waterfall, I slipped and fell into the well. "Ouch" my wrist hurts quite a bit. I lifted my face and screamed. "Whoever is there, help me," I shouted from the well. But there was no answer from up there. I was forced to try myself to climb this well. One by one the stones that were firmly attached to the wall of the well I gripped firmly, a little more I got up there. When I held one of the stones on the wall of the well, it turned out to be mossy and slippery, I fell back to the bottom of the well. Damn, once again should be able to. I tried to get back up to the top of the well, and finally, I managed to get out of this well. But, why is the atmosphere different? Where is this? This forging seemed foreign to me. I sat quietly looking around me. It's like a temple, yes I am on the temple grounds. "Hey, what are you doing there?" said an old man wearing a white robe. "Who are you and what do you want?" he asked again. "Sorry sir, I also don't know why I'm here," I replied to the old man. "Then how did you get here?" asked the old man. I told everything that I experienced, from fetching water in the river to being here. But the old man didn't believe me and thought I was crazy. Long story short, I came out of the temple and was astonished to see a place I had never seen before. "What kingdom is this?" I asked myself. "Vroom" "What is that creature?" I shouted. Then a girl from across the street looked at me in surprise. Then she smiled at me and walked towards me. The girl had shoulder-length brown hair, and her face was so beautiful. "Hey, where are you from?" the girl asked. "I live in the village of Gantarawang, the Majapahit Kingdom," I answered. "Ha ha ha" The girl burst into laughter. I was surprised, but there was nothing funny. "Your outfit is cool, is there a cosplay event?" said the girl. "What is cosplay? I asked. "Events using anime costumes or superheroes, don't you know?" said the girl. "Hey, I'm being serious, I'm suddenly in this strange world," I said. "What a strange world? You are the strange one, your clothes are also strange," said the girl. Then, I told all the events that I experienced today, it seems the girl believed my words. While I was telling where I lived, suddenly a black, iron-skinned creature galloped down the street. "Vroom" "Hey, what kind of creature is that?" I asked. "That's called a car, humans drive cars as a means of transportation," replied the girl. "Wow, I just found out," I said "Yeah, it's the 21st century, 2022, I'll show you around," the girl said. Then, we walked around this place. This beautiful girl explains a lot. It turns out that this is the future, in this era, the Majapahit Kingdom where I was born no longer exists. Now it is a metropolitan city residing in the country. Many new things were explained to me, and the part I liked the most was enjoying the food in the future. Starting from burgers, ice cream, pudding, to crunchy snacks such as crackers with different flavors. "So what's your name?" the girl asked. "My name is Tejo," I answered. "Okay Tejo, my name is Aprillia, where is the well you mentioned earlier," said the girl. "It's at the temple near us when we first met," I replied. "Let's go there, but first, you go to the barbershop, yes, your hair is very messy," said the girl. Then, the two of us walked to the barbershop to get my hair cut. After that, we went to the well in the Buddhist temple, the place where I first entered this era. "So this is that well you said?" Aprilia asked. "Yes, that's right, this well brought me to this era," I answered. "That means, this well is a gateway to the past and modern dimensions," said Aprillia. Aprillia told me, if I go back into this well, I will return to my time, the era when the Majapahit Kingdom still existed. But Aprillia wants to know how things were in the past. So she wanted to come into the well with me. I looked for a rope first and tied it to an iron pole so that Aprillia could more easily climb the well when she returned to this era. We both jumped into the well and "ouch" Aprillia fell on me. Then Aprillia grabbed my shoulder and I climbed up the well. Finally, I returned to my village. This well is indeed a two-dimensional gateway to the world. Aprillia looked astonished and amazed to see the situation in my village. The scenery is still natural and the air is cool, this is the first time she has felt. She even said that this river was very clear. I took Aprillia for a walk in this village, as well as introduced Aprillia to historical places. I also brought Aprillia to my house and introduced her to my mother. But my mother got angry with me because I forgot to bring water for our needs. I told Aprillia to wait at my house, while I ran towards the river to bring two barrels of water. After putting water in the house, the two of us continued to walk around the village. She was very amazed to see the atmosphere in this era of the Hindu kingdom. She immortalized the temple and inscription with her cellphone camera, not forgetting to also take a selfie in front of the palace of the Majapahit Kingdom. It was late afternoon, and the sun was about to set. I accompanied Aprillia to the well that became the two-dimensional gate. Then Aprillia went into the well and returned to her time. I will never forget this amazing experience. I have no intention of re-entering the future, but Aprillia often visits me here. Once a week she went to this well and enjoyed the atmosphere in the Majapahit Kingdom. ***The lead image source by*** ***Unsplash*** https://unsplash.com/photos/hXOGHaGCtdA

Conflict and hope in the moonlight (Short Story) That night, chaos was brewing. Conflicts between the military and political parties create an endless commotion. I sat on the roof of my house, enjoying a cup of coffee and a cigarette under the beautiful moonlight. **"BOOM"** There was a loud explosion sound from the west, it seemed like the military base was being attacked by a rebel group. I smoked my cigarette and said, "*If all leaders remove the crown of ego in their heads, surely peace will be achieved*". From the roof of my house, I saw a girl running, crying. What was he doing on a night like this? I asked in my mind. I immediately got off the roof and went out to meet the girl. "*What happened?*" I asked the girl. "*Both of my parents were arrested by them,*" said the girl. "*Come on, don't cry anymore,*" I said, then I picked her up and took her to my sister's house. My sister's house is very close, only 100 meters from my house. I firmly believe that the parents of this girl are members of a political party that conflicts with the military. After arriving at my sister's house, I knocked on the door and called out to her. "*What's going on at this time of night?*" my sister said "*Let this girl stay overnight, the military group brought her parents,*" I said "*Come on in, I'll take care of you here,*" my sister said to the poor little girl. I said goodbye and immediately went home, but at a crossroads on my way home, I was blocked by military troops. I was investigated by them because I was suspected of being a rebel group from a political party. "*I'm just an ordinary citizen, my house is over there,*" I said, pointing to my house. Then one of the military members said that I had protected the rebel troops. He accused me without any proof, I got annoyed and spat on his face. Immediately, the butt of the rifle flew towards my face. I was immediately transported into the military truck. I don't know where they will take me. Until in the middle of a lush forest filled with large trees and weeds, my face looked up, the full moon was emitting its beautiful light. At the same time, the military was already sleepy. I'm sure they're on guard right now, this truck is also moving slowly. This was my chance, I jumped off the truck and ran towards the weeds and tall trees. As soon as the trucks stopped, they fired from all directions. Thanks to the weeds and trees, not a single bullet hit my body. I kept running as hard as I could. I was sure the military was still chasing me, so I climbed the tree in front of me. I sat on a big branch and saw five military men still running after me, I hope they weren't looking up. Turns out I survived, they went back to their truck. But, I don't know where this is, I'm lost in the middle of a lush forest. I looked up again at the full moon and said, "*O beautiful moon, I don't want to be in the middle of this chaos anymore, I want to be in a peaceful atmosphere,*". Then the full moon grew brighter. I believe that moonlight is the hope of every creature. I walked a little following the direction of the full moon. Step by step, I arrived at a small village. I knocked on the door of one of the houses so I could stay the night. Then, the door opened, a thin old man asked me. "*Who are you? why are you visiting at night?*" asked the old man. "*I just escaped from a military chase please help me, sir,*" I said. "*So you're a rebel?*" said the old man. "*No, they accuse me of protecting rebels, I'm just a commoner,*" I replied. "*All right, go inside,*" said the old man. I finally met a good person. I was allowed to stay at his house. The next morning, I told him everything I had experienced last night. They understand very well how I felt last night because they are also victims of the conflict who fled and built a village in the middle of the forest like this. Even so, it is very peaceful here and everyone helps each other for a very harmonious life. They advised me to stay here, but my older sister and the little girl I met last night should also be here so that they too can find a peaceful place. The people in the village finally came with me to pick up my older sister and the little girl from last night. In the end, we stayed in this small village for a long time, until things were peaceful again. ***The lead image source by*** ***Unsplash*** https://unsplash.com/photos/9kbsq91NFwg

Arriving at home, Ningsih treated Putri's injured leg, the woman also made warm soup for her friend. Suddenly a boy knocked on the door. The boy was once saved by Sukro while drifting in the river. "Sis, I found this dog by the river," said the boy. Putri cried seeing Sukro who was dead, Putri regretted that she had scolded Sukro, even though the dog she was angry with was innocent. New Year, New spirit (Short Story) *Since the new year will soon be approaching, so I made a short story with the theme of the new year. This short story is just fiction that I made up myself from my imagination, watch the story until it's finished.* On a sunny morning, residents in the city of Surabaya carry out their respective activities, some are selling, some are working, and some are studying. They were all very excited to do their activities that morning. But there is one resident who doesn't seem excited, he is Aji. The 25-year-old man feels that his daily routine is very boring, but it can't be helped, Aji has to work to make ends meet. On December 28, Aji was working in the office of a cosmetic company. His position in the company is as Data Entry, his job is to enter sales reports into the computer, then print and submit them to the manager as a sales report. While on his way to the manager's room to submit a report, Aji saw Susi crying on her office desk. "*What wrong, Susi?*" asked Aji who looked surprised, "*What made you cry?*" ask Aji again "*I saw Bram was making out with another woman,*" replied Susi, wiping her tears "*Maybe they're just friends,*" said Aji "*No way, I saw them directly hugging and kissing,*" said Susi "*I'm sorry, I hope you are strong and patient,*" said Aji Then Aji continued to deliver the report to the company manager. There was the sound of the manager screaming from outside the room. Looks like Aji is being scolded by his manager, it's really unfortunate for Aji. "*You're being scolded again, aren't you?*" said Susi when Aji had just left the room "*Yes, it's okay, it's normal,*" Aji answered "*Let's go home together later,*" said Susi "*Okay, fine,*" replied Aji Susi is an employee at the office where Aji works, her position in the company is as an accountant. Aji likes this woman, but he knows that Susi already has a boyfriend named Bram. Bram was also Aji's friend in high school, so Aji could only keep his feelings under wraps. After work hours are over, Aji and Susi go home together, but they stop at a cafe first to enjoy coffee while chatting. Incidentally, the cafe was located not far from the office where they worked. "*So, you've met with Bram,*" asked Aji who started the chat "*Yes, Ji, I have broken up with him,*" replied Susi "*How did you meet him?*" ask Aji again "*I suspected Bram three days ago, then I followed Bram without him knowing, it turned out that he was dating another woman,*" replied Susi. After an hour of chatting at the cafe, they left the cafe, Aji took Susi home by motorbike, after that Aji went home. At 10.00 pm, Aji who was about to sleep suddenly heard the sound of his cellphone ringing, it was Susi who called Aji. "*Hello, good night,*" Aji said answering the phone "*Hello Aji, are you sleeping?*" asked Susi on the phone "*Not yet, why haven't you slept yet?*" Aji said "*Not sleepy yet,*" said Susi Then they chatted by phone until 11.30 pm. At that time, they made an appointment to go to the mountains on December 31, they would celebrate the New Year there while seeing the beauty of the fireworks. "*Mother, why don't you cook my favourite side dish,*" said Tono while yelling at his mother "*I've eaten, I think you won't be eating at home,*" said his mother Tono was very angry and slammed his plate on the table. He left the house again and wanted to buy food outside, but he didn't have enough money, because he had already paid for the internet cafe. Tono who is very naughty returns home, he intends to steal his mother's money. When he got home, he crept slowly into his mother's room. At that time his mother was in the kitchen cleaning the broken plate that Tono had slammed down earlier. Suddenly Tono heard a loud slamming sound on the table. Tono was curious about the sound, he finally went to the source of the sound and he was surprised to see what happened. "*Mother..!!*" Tony shouted. It turned out that his mother slipped on the floor while cleaning the dishes and fell on the dining table until the table finally fell on Tono's mother. At that time her mother was unconscious, she cried and called an ambulance. When her mother was taken to the hospital, the roads were so congested that it was difficult for an ambulance to get to the hospital quickly. "*Mom, I'm sorry, hold on mom,*" Tono said while crying in the ambulance Finally, the ambulance arrived at the hospital, but his mother's life was not saved. Tono's mother died from blood loss. Tono cried and was very sorry for not being obedient to his mother. Tono also realized that what his friend Izul said was very true, he should be grateful that he still has a mother who loves him. Now Tono has the same fate as Izul, no longer having parents and being cared for by his uncle and aunt. Fortunately, his uncle and aunt took very good care of Tono. He was considered his son by his uncle, since then, Tono was no longer a naughty child, he followed what was advised by his uncle and aunt. From that moment on, Tono began to study hard and do his homework, he only played games on his days off. Tono has learned a valuable lesson from his experience. Therefore, love your mother before you lose her because you will regret when your mother has left you forever. **The Lead Image Source by** **Unsplash** https://unsplash.com/photos/BUkU-VhzW-s

Christmas is happiness for all On December 23, a gang of delinquents in the city of Manado was running because they were being chased by the police. The gang of delinquents is called the cobra gang, they are very disturbing to big businessmen and the police, but they are considered heroes for the poor. Because the cobra gang often helps and gives food and stolen goods to the poor. On December 23, they carried out a robbery at a supermarket, but their actions were discovered by the police and they were chased. "*Hey, don't run!*" police said "*Try to catch us if you can,*" said one of the gang of cobras running, laughing The gang of delinquents was very agile and very difficult to catch, in the end, they were able to survive the police pursuit. One of the cobra gang members named Joko came to the headquarters. Joko, who had not previously participated in the robbery, looked surprised to see their friends looking tired. "*Why are you guys?*" Joko said "*We were chased by the police,*" said Doni, who is also a gang member "*So, are there any results,?*" Joko said "*Mayang has taken the money, but some food was left there,*" said Doni Joko took a glass of drink that was there and drank for a while. He told his friends about what he saw. Previously he just walked around the city and malls, many big businessmen selling Christmas supplies. For Joko, Christmas is a day of joy for all who welcome him, but on the other hand, Joko sees that poor and homeless people cannot enjoy the joy of Christmas. The warmth and joy of Christmas are only enjoyed by rich people, they buy toys for their children, make lavish parties and eat delicious food for their rich people. Children from poor families can't get Christmas gifts because their parents don't have the money to buy them, let alone have a party with lots of food, it's impossible for Joko. Therefore, Joko invites some of his colleagues to plunder the mall for the happiness of the poor, they will take many gifts that are sold by rich businessmen in the mall. On December 24, the cobra gang entered a mall in the centre of Manado city, Joko and his friends entered the mall and placed homemade bombs at several points. The bombs they make are harmless, only making explosive sounds, but not harming anyone. When the bomb was detonated, the sound made people afraid so that mall patrons rushed out. When everyone came out of the mall in a panic, the cobra gang started taking things in the mall. Then they came out the back door. After successfully performing their stunt, the gang of cobras donned Santa Claus clothes and distributed gifts to children and the poor. "Merry Christmas," they said. Everyone in the poor neighbourhood was smiling and happy. Meanwhile, the mall they looted was caught on CCTV. Their looting was seen on CCTV footage, so a group of police came and arrested them. Even so, they are quite satisfied because many people are happy on Christmas day. **The lead image source by** **Unsplash** https://unsplash.com/photos/aajORxNQNAs NB: *What the cobra gang did was something wrong despite their very good intentions. But keep in mind that the rich are supposed to make the poor smile and be happy to get the Christmas blessings. Give love regardless of social status, that way, groups like the cobra gang will not commit crimes to help the poor. Thank you for reading, I am Raden Kusumo wishing my friends a Merry Christmas. Peace be upon us all*

Pandemic Vacation In 2020, a devastating virus attack spread to many countries, one of which was Indonesia. Starting in March, a woman who had just vacationed in Malaysia experienced a high fever, cough, and shortness of breath. The woman was infected with a new virus called Corona. Since then, the Corona Virus has spread throughout Indonesia. As a result of the virus pandemic, many offices and schools were closed so that the virus would not spread more. But apparently, many do not believe in the existence of this virus, they take advantage of the holidays to travel. At that time, Budi, a high school student, was invited by his friend Joni to go to the beach. "*Budi, while it's school holidays, let's go to the beach,*" said Joni "*No, Jon, there's a pandemic right now,*" said Budi "*You don't believe it, it's just a conspiracy from an elite organization,*" said Joni "*But Jon, many victims have been reported on television,*" said Budi "*The media is ruled by the ruling elite, don't believe it,*" said Joni Finally, they went to the beach to enjoy their day off. The beach was very crowded with visitors. They are not afraid of the Coronavirus, Budi, who believes in the existence of a pandemic, prepares himself by wearing a mask and carrying a hand sanitiser, not forgetting to also keep his distance from others. "*This beach is good, Bud,*" said Joni while enjoying the coconut water "*It's very good indeed, but I'm worried after this,*" said Budi "*Are you still worried about the Coronavirus?*" Joni said "*Of course,*" said Budi "*Your life is too afraid, Budi,*" said Joni In the afternoon, the beach is getting crowded with visitors, because they want to see the beauty of the sunset on the beach. Seeing the increasingly crowded situation, Budi was increasingly worried about the spread of the Coronavirus there. Budipun decided to go home. "*Where are you going, Budi?*" ask Joni "*I forgot to feed my cat, I want to go home to give my cat food,*" said Budi "*But the sunset will soon arrive,*" said Joni "*Next time we can come here again,*" said Budi Budi went straight to the house and cleaned himself up. He sprayed the entire room with disinfectant. Budi is sure, after the crowds that occur on the beach, there will be many victims who are infected with the virus. The next day, Budi saw the news on television which reported that the number of Coronavirus sufferers had increased even higher. This is caused by many people who do not believe in the COVID-19 pandemic. Budi immediately called Joni to confirm his friend's condition. When Budi called Joni, he heard a woman's voice crying from the phone. Turns out it was Joni's mother. His mother said that Joni was being treated at the hospital because he was infected with the Coronavirus. Budi who heard the news was immediately shocked. He already believed this bad thing would happen. In the end, Budi spent the school holidays only at home playing games, occasionally studying online so that he didn't miss lessons. After more than a month, Joni recovered from the pandemic, now he believes that the virus does exist. The End **The Lead Image Source by** **Unsplash** https://unsplash.com/photos/IQ8dwaa3yJc

Do not judge a people by appearance Jakarta is the largest city and the most populous city in Indonesia. Every year, people from various regions come to this city, because the city of Jakarta is the centre of government and the economic centre of the country, so, many people want to find work in this big city. One of them is Jenita. This 28-year-old woman comes from the city of Blitar, but she moved to Jakarta after graduating from high school. At that time, Jenita went to Jakarta to study, but her family's economic situation was very difficult, so Jenita had to work part-time before leaving for college. After graduating from college, Jenita was accepted to work in a private bank as a teller. Her salary is enough to support herself and send money to her family in Blitar. Once, Jenita and the bank manager went to a nightclub, they danced and drank liquor. After that, the two of them went to a karaoke place, but someone was waiting there. That person is Hana, she is the wife of the bank manager. Hana already knew her husband was having an affair with Jenita when Hana took her husband's smartphone, she read a WhatsApp message from Jenita to have fun at a karaoke place. Jenita and her manager didn't realize that Hana was there until when they were in the karaoke room, Hana broke the door and saw her husband making out with Jenita. Immediately, Jenita was slapped and abused by Hana. The news spread and was known by all bank employees. Since then, Jenita has been very embarrassed, after that she was fired by Hana because Hana is a director at the private bank. Jenita, who regretted having been left alone with her manager, was very sad, she was afraid that she would no longer be able to send money to her family in Blitar. Now Jenita is trying to get a job, luckily she is accepted to work in a supermarket. Currently, Jenita works as a cashier. Even though a cashier's salary is not too big, Jenita's salary is enough for her, and she still sends monthly payments to her family, but not as much as when Jenita worked at a bank. One day, a novelist named Roni was shopping at the supermarket where Jenita worked. Roni was Jenita's high school friend when she was still living in the city of Blitar. When Roni wants to pay for his shopping, Jenita is surprised to see her old friend in front of her. "*Hey Roni, are you in Jakarta now?*" Jenita said Roni has poor memory, he can't remember who the cashier is. Then he pretended to know. "*Hey, how are you, I just played for a while in Jakarta,*" said Roni with a smile Roni was still confused and asked in mind, who is this woman? How could she know me? That was the question in his mind. Jenita calculates the cost of Roni's groceries while asking about the condition of Roni and his family in Blitar. Roni answered it calmly with a smile as if Roni knew the woman in front of him. After leaving the supermarket, Roni sat under a tree while drinking a soft drink that he bought at the supermarket earlier. Roni tried to remember the girl earlier. Finally, he remembered that the cashier was his friend from high school. Roni did not expect to meet Jenita again. When Roni wanted to go back to the supermarket, Jenita came over to Roni who was sitting under a tree, right in front of the supermarket. "*Hey Roni, since when did you move to Jakarta?*" ask Jenita Before Roni could answer, Jenita immediately cut Roni's words "*Let me guess, you want to find a job in Jakarta,*" said Jenita, "*Don't worry, I'll help you find a job in this city,*" said Jenita again. Roni just smiled, Jenita didn't know that Roni had become a successful and rich novelist. Because Roni only looks simple, wearing a t-shirt and sandals, so Jenita thinks that Roni is not a rich person. "*No Jen, I just got to Jakarta, but I'm not looking for a job here,*" said Roni "*Then what are you doing here?*" ask Jenita "*When are you off work?*" Roni asked back "*Tomorrow is my day off,*" replied Jenita "*Okay, tomorrow we'll meet at Garuda Hall,*" said Roni, "*You'll know what I'm here for,*" said Roni again "*Okay,*" said Jenita The next day arrived, Jenita went to the Garuda Hall to meet Roni, she saw that a seminar was being held at the Hall. Jenita entered the Hall, but she did not see Roni. She looked at the people sitting on the chairs one by one but didn't even look at Roni. "*If Roni is not a participant in the seminar, could it be that she only works partially for the Event Organizer, or also the cleaning service at this Hall?*" That's the question in Jenita's mind. She considers Roni just an ordinary worker because when he was still in school, Roni was a student who was not smart, and did not continue his education in college. When a speaker appeared at the seminar, Jenita was surprised that Roni was a speaker as well as a motivator at the seminar. Jenita did not expect her friend to be so successful like that. When the seminar was over, Roni came out of the Hall, it turned out that Jenita was waiting for him outside. She wanted to chat a lot with Roni. "*Hi Jen, apparently you are here,*" said Roni, "*I'm hungry, let's go eat,*" Roni ordered a taxi online and took Jenita to a fancy restaurant in Jakarta. Arriving at the restaurant, Roni told Jenita to order whatever food she wanted, this is the first time Jenita has entered a luxury restaurant in Jakarta. "*Sorry Ron, I've been trivial with you,*" said Jenita "*No problem, don't worry about it,*" said Roni "*I didn't think you would be a successful person,*" said Jenita "*As long as we don't give up on reaching our goals, success will surely come true,*" said Roni "*But you weren't good at school Ron,*" said Jenita "*Jen, please listen,*" said Roni, himself continuing his words "Success doesn't come from being smart at school, I also live a hard life to get it, I once told you that I wanted to be a comic maker as well as a novelist, but that wasn't easy to achieve, I also worked in a textile factory, but I still trying to write novels and making comics when I'm not working, I didn't give up on achieving my goals, I'm like this now because I worked hard," said Roni. "*Yes Ron, I misjudged you,*" said Jenita "*Next time, don't judge someone from the outside,*" said Roni "*Okay Ron,*" said Jenita They continued to eat at the restaurant while talking about their teenage years. Since then, Jenita no longer judges someone by their appearance. The End **The lead image source by** **Unsplash** https://unsplash.com/photos/ODMNSWjel_I

Keep Reaching Your Dreams That morning in the city of Blitar, Roni's mother shouted for her son who was still sleeping. "Roni, wake up quickly, you'll be late," shouted his mother who was cooking in the kitchen. Roni got up from his deep sleep, he took a towel and immediately took a shower, not forgetting to brush his teeth. After bathing and getting dressed, Roni immediately ate the breakfast that his mother had prepared on the table. "You eat fast, you'll be late," said his mother "Yes mom," answered Roni After eating, Roni immediately went to school on his bicycle. He was speeding down the street because he was afraid of being punished by the teacher if he was late for school. Arriving there, the school bell has rung, fortunately, Roni came just in time. While in class, Roni was punished by his teacher for forgetting to do his homework, as a result, Roni was sentenced to stand outside the classroom. Roni rarely does the assignments given by his teacher, even Roni's test scores are almost not good. When the lesson started, the teacher came to Roni who was standing outside the classroom. "Roni, you have to study hard, so that you will be successful when you grow up," said the teacher "Okay sir," answered Roni "Now you may go to class," said the teacher again Roni also entered the classroom so that he could follow the lessons given by the teacher. For Roni, it's useless to follow lessons at school, because he will never understand the lessons given by the teacher. When the teacher gave questions to the students, Roni instead of doing the assignment drew instead. The only talent that Roni has is drawing, the child often wins when there is a drawing competition between schools. The school bell has rung, school hours are over. "Hey Roni, do you want to go home," said Jenita as she approached Roni "Eh, Jenita, yes, what's up?" ask Roni "It's ok, I also want to go home, let's just be together," replied Jenita "Oh I see, all right," said Roni "Soon we graduate from school, what do you want to do after you graduate from school?" ask Jenita "I don't know, I'm not even sure I can pass," answered Roni "Don't be so pessimistic," said Jenita, "You have to be confident and study hard so you can graduate from school," added the girl. "Yes Jen, I will try my best to pass," Roni replied "I've arrived home, you be careful on the way," said Jenita while waving to Roni "Yeah, see you tomorrow," said Roni Arriving at home, Roni felt tired, he wanted to take a nap. Not long after, his mother came to scold Roni for taking a nap and not studying and doing homework. "You, you only work to sleep," said his mother, "what if you don't pass?" added his mother in a high tone "Mom, even though I don't graduate later, I'm still alive," replied Roni, "Besides, not graduating is not the end," said Roni in a relaxed tone. "If you are advised by your parents, don't be stubborn," said his mother Now comes the day that the students have been waiting for, the day of the announcement of graduation at school. Roni sat in the corner of the classroom looking calm, while the other students were worried about their school graduation. "What are you drawing Ron?" ask Jenita "Eh, hi Jen, I'm drawing aliens attacking the earth," Roni replied "Why are you so calm, aren't you worried that you will pass or not?" ask Jenita "At least I didn't pass, I answered carelessly during yesterday's exam," said Roni "Don't be like that, I'm worried if you don't pass," said Jenita "Don't worry, not passing is not the biggest threat," said Roni The teacher at the school came and called the students one by one. When Roni's name was mentioned, he came to the front of the class. The teacher congratulates Roni for having graduated from school. Roni also thanked the teacher. "I didn't think I would graduate, I didn't think I would graduate from this school," said Roni After school, Jenita approached Roni who was walking towards the house. "Uh, hey Jen," said Roni "After this, what do you want?" Jenita said "I want to be a comic maker and write novels, that's my goal," said Roni "Why don't you go to college, come with me to the city of Jakarta, we study there together," said Jenita "Sorry Jen, I'm tired with the study on school," said Roni Two years have passed since graduating from school, Roni every day makes comics and writes novels, but there is not a single publisher who wants to publish Roni's work. His mother is desperate to advise her son, Roni still maintains his ideals to become a novelist and comic writer. Until finally, their economic situation was destroyed because Roni's father had died a year ago. Now Roni finally realized that his life was not following his ideals. Roni also stopped writing novels and stopped drawing comics for a while, now he is looking for a job that suits his desires. Twenty companies did not accept Roni to work, because the job that Roni wanted had to have at least a bachelor's degree. Roni was desperate and regretted not going to college with Jenita. Until finally Roni was offered to work in a textile factory, although Roni did not like the job, he was forced to work there to provide for his family's economic needs. Two years later, Roni is still working in a textile factory, but he still writes novels and draws comics when he comes home from work and on holidays. He continues to pursue his dream as a comic maker as well as a novelist. On a day off from work, Roni went to the park to refresh his mind, then he saw a flyer attached to a power pole. The brochure was an advertisement for a novel-writing competition, he immediately registered in the competition. The prizes for the first place winners are huge and also, the entered novels will be published in several major bookstores. Roni was very excited to see the advertisement in the brochure. He immediately went home and typed the novel script to be sent to the novel-writing competition committee. He wrote about his life story which was very difficult to reach his goals. Within two days the script was finished by him until a week later Roni was reported to have won the writing competition. He got 2nd place in the competition. The novel that he entered in the writing competition was published in a bookstore. From that novel, he became famous, because the novel received world-class awards. In the end, many publishers came to Roni to publish Roni's works, including the comics he made. Now Roni is a famous writer and has published five novels and ten comics. Now Roni's dream has come true, he became rich because he did not give up on writing works. **Image Source by** **Unsplash** https://unsplash.com/photos/FTNGfpYCpGM

Battle of the Three Races *This story is only fiction and I got the idea of this story from my imagination. This is not a conspiracy theory story. Ok let's start the story* In the universe we inhabit, there are billions of galaxies, in each galaxy, there are dozens of orbiting planets. This story is about life on the planet Gorga, about 500 billion light-years from Earth. There is life like on Earth. The being that dominates the planet is Kayin. This creature consists of three races, the first is like humans, the second is like animals, and the third is like a mixture of animals and humans. The Kayin race with the human form is called the Shak, the animal-shaped race called the Haya, and the mixed animal and human race called the Maza. These three races fought and fought each other, they wanted to show which race was the strongest. Shak and Haya's groups were rivals, those who fought the most wars. These two racial groups are competing to create the most powerful weapon. Maza's group is not very warlike, but they often fall victim to the battles between Shak and Haya. One night one of the youths from Maza's group was meditating under the Guava tree, in his meditation, he was shown complete destruction, then he told the leaders of Shak and Haya to stop the war, but the leaders would not listen to the words of the young man. Instead, the young man was put in prison by the Shak leader for being accused of being a spy for Haya's group. "*Sir, please stop this war!*" said the young man. "*Shut up, what's wrong?*" said the military leader. "*There will be terrible destruction later,*" said the young man. "*We want to destroy them!*" the military leader said "*This destruction is not what you imagine sir,*" said the young man "*Shut up, and don't interfere,*" said the military leader, then hit the young man's head, "*Quickly put him in jail,*" ordered the military leader to his men. Until one day, a professor from Haya's group managed to create an Atomic Bomb, a dangerous weapon that would later be detonated on a large island inhabited by Shak's group. Before the Atomic Bomb was launched, the Haya military attacked the island of Shak with warplanes and warships. The military of the Shak group is also not silent, they activate war robots to fight their enemies. One of the residents of the Shark group put several small children into a capsule ship to be transported to another planet to be saved. The goal, if they lose the war, their race does not become extinct. The leader of the Maza group who finds out that one of them has a weapon of mass destruction tells the group to move planets because the weapons created by Haya's group will destroy their planet. However, there were some people from the Maza group who did not want to leave, because they did not want to leave their homeland, so some of the Maza group participated in the battle to defend their city from the attacks of the two groups. When the battle occurs, Shak's group excels in close combat, because their war robots are very strong. Finally, Haya's group fired a missile. The atomic bomb was dangerous, they thought the bomb would only destroy the island of Shak, but the power of the bomb was beyond expectation, the bomb exploded and destroyed their planet, finally, those who were still on the planet Gorga were destroyed without a trace. The Maza group who have left the planet Gorga are now living in peace, they are no longer creating weapons, but they are creating useful tools in the job industry. Meanwhile, the children from Shak's group who were flown in by capsules landed on several planets around their galaxy, but there were two capsule ships still cruising in space. The two capsules contain a boy and a girl, it turns out that their capsule plane is headed for planet Earth. When their capsule plane hit the earth, a huge explosion occurred, causing a giant tsunami that caused a mass extinction. These extinct Earth creatures are referred to as Dinosaurs. Now a baby boy and girl from Shak's group start a new life on planet Earth, and they call themselves Humans. Until now, humans have dominated planet Earth. The End *Thanks for reading this story, again I say that this is fiction from my imagination, not some kind of conspiracy theory.* **The Lead Image Source by** **Unsplash** https://unsplash.com/photos/SE5mmOZWqHE

Lost Sense of Concern On Saturday morning, Nico was fishing in the river, Nico had been fishing for more than two hours, but the fishing hook was not touched by the fish. It wasn't usually like this, in the previous days Nico had caught a lot of fish from fishing, but this time he was unlucky. Finally, Nico packed up his fishing gear and headed straight home. While on the way home, Nico meets Heri, a classmate when he was in college. At that time Heri was riding a motorbike to his office. "*Hey Nico, where are you going?*" ask Heri "*I just came from the river, fishing,*" Nico replied "*Where's the fish?*" asked Heri again "*Today I didn't get any fish,*" Nico replied "*Okay, I'll go to work first,*" said Heri "*Okay, be careful on the road,*" Nico said Nico continued on his way to the house. At the crossroads, street vendors are selling grilled meatballs. Nico stopped by the seller of grilled meatballs and bought five sticks of grilled meatballs. While Nico was enjoying the meal, two girls also bought grilled meatballs, both girls were beautiful, their bodies were slim, their hair was long, their skin was also smooth. Nico was fascinated by the girl's beauty. After finishing enjoying his meal, Nico continued his journey to the house on foot. The beauty of the girls was still in Nico's mind. The next day, Nico went again to the river to fish. While walking to the river, Nico passed the traditional market. The market was very crowded with visitors, even the parking lot in the market was filled with vehicles. Then Nico's eyes fell on the two young men in the parking lot, he got suspicious and approached them. It turned out that the two young men wanted to steal a motorbike belonging to a market visitor. "*Hey, what are you guys doing?*" Nico asked, "*Do you guys want to steal here,?*" he asked again. "*It's none of your business,*" answered one of the young men who wanted to steal a motorbike "*Stop right there!*" Nico shouted Unfortunately, Nico was unable to prevent their crime, the two young men managed to escape with a motorbike belonging to a market visitor. Nico tried to catch up while running. Nico shouted "Thief", but no one paid any attention to him. While chasing the thief, the beautiful girl he met yesterday was passing by in the market. "*Sister, there's a thief, hurry up and ask someone else for help,*" Nico said with his breath rising and falling from running "*That's none of my business,*" the girl said. Nico continued to chase the thief, then there was a newspaper delivery man who was carrying a bicycle. Nico borrowed his bicycle to chase the thief. Nico pedalled the bicycle very fast. At the same time, the beautiful girl was looking for her motorbike in the parking lot, but it wasn't there. It turned out that the stolen motorcycle belonged to the girl. She was very panicked because her motorbike was missing. She asked people around her for help but no one cared about her. The girl sat on the sidewalk next to the parking area crying. Whereas in the trunk of the motorbike there is a bag containing her wallet and money. The girl was very sad and kept crying. Suddenly Nico came with the girl's motorcycle. Nico saw the beautiful girl crying. "*So, this motorbike is yours?*" Nico said "*Yes, that's right,*" said the girl, "*I'm sorry for not listening to you,*" said the girl again "*No problem, try to care about other people,*" Nico said "*Thank you very much,*" the girl said while wiping her tears Then Nico continued his journey to the river to fish, Nico had forgotten about today's events. Now he hopes today can get a lot of fish in the river. The End **The Lead Image Source by** **Unsplash** https://unsplash.com/photos/D1UXDjVr8cw

My Cousin Is Robinhood *The short story I am going to write today is a true story about my cousin who lives in the city. In this story, I will disguise his name. I have also asked him permission when I wanted to make a story about him.* Friday, July 31, 2021. My cousin named Godel (not his real name) came to Beji Village, Ngawen District, Gunung Kidul Regency. The place where I was born and raised. Just then Godel came with a lot of food. I was very happy when he came. His coming to my village was not just a visit, but also to hide. He is a cybercriminal, he is a genius hacker and expert in computer programming. Godel once broke into bank security and took a lot of money belonging to bank customers. He has also duplicated other people's credit cards and bought a lot of Bitcoins on several foreign exchanges. Godel doesn't have a team or group, he just does it alone. The reason he became a hacker is that he thinks the country is unfair and creates social inequality. He saw many poor people who could not afford to buy food, many small children who did not go to school because they did not have the money, and many places of worship that were not suitable as places of worship. His ability to operate computers dragged him into the world of cybercrime. In 2006, Godel breached the security of local bank websites. He transferred most of the customer's money to his account, at that time the money was used to open a street library so that children could gain knowledge from reading, as well as open a street school for children who could not afford to go to school. He paid a lot of teachers to educate children to be smart. The following month, he did the same thing, breaking through the security of a different bank and making a lot of money in his account. He used the money for the construction of houses of worship such as mosques that were almost collapsed. He built five mosques in several different locations. But the action was discovered by the police, he was arrested and imprisoned. In 2008, Godel got out of prison, he committed another cybercrime, but in a different way. He created a dangerous computer Virus and spread it in companies that use the internet network. There is no single anti-virus that can remove the virus. Then he sold his anti-virus creation at a high price. Anti-virus has become his business. In 2013 he carried out the spread of the virus again. But this computer virus is more dangerous than ever. Many companies are confused by this virus attack. He also wrote an email message asking for a ransom in the form of Bitcoin. He knew that if the ransom was in fiat, he would be tracked down by the police. He also got a lot of Bitcoin from the virus he created. Until 2021 he hacked by duplicating other people's credit cards and buying cryptocurrencies. Unfortunately, in July his crime was discovered by the police, he fled to Beji Village where I live. He took care of this village very well. Godel built a place of worship, opened a public reading room, and enlarged my father's goat pen. When I came home from school, Godel saw me writing short stories in a notebook. According to him, I am very talented in writing papers until finally I was introduced by Godel to several writing platforms that can earn money, including readcash, hive, and steemit. He also taught me about cryptocurrency. When I asked him to learn to hack, he didn't allow it, because hacking is against the law and a crime that I shouldn't commit. He hopes that one day, I will become a great writer that he is proud of. Godel is an illegalist that I respect, he has helped my family and my villagers a lot. Now Godel is no longer in my village, I don't know where he is now. His life moves from city to city. Even though he is a cybercriminal, he has a good heart. Nightmares Come True That morning in Kemuning Village, the air was very fresh, the wind was blowing very cool. Budi and his friends go to school, his father goes to the fields, and his mother goes to the market to sell vegetables. As usual, Kemuning Village is very peaceful. At noon, Budi and his friends came home from school, they saw the peak of Mount Merapi emitting smoke. Their village is located at the foot of Mount Merapi, so the view of the mountain can be seen in their village. When in the market, Budi helps his mother in the market selling fresh vegetables, but Budi always looks at the mountain. Budi saw the mountain emitting increasingly thick smoke. Budi was a little surprised by the natural phenomenon he was seeing. In the evening, Budi and his family are having dinner. Suddenly there was a sound like the sound of a bomb a great distance away. All the villagers heard the sound. The residents of Kemuning Village came out of their houses, they wanted to know where the sound came from. But the villagers saw nothing. The village was still and peaceful. While sleeping, Budi had a bad dream, in his dream, Budi saw all the villagers running in fear. The residents carried all their belongings and shouted for help. Budi doesn't know what happened in his village. Still in his dream, Budi saw a 5-year-old girl crying because her parents left the girl. Budi also took the initiative to carry the girl away to the north, where all the residents ran. Budi carried the girl while running to save himself even though he didn't know what had happened yet. While running, Budi tripped over a rock which made him fall. Instantly Budi was snapped out of his sleep. He immediately woke up and was grateful that what happened was just a dream. At that time, the clock showed 04.00 am, Budi couldn't sleep anymore because he was dreaming about his dream. Budi didn't sleep until 06.00 am, he took a shower and got ready to go to school. While on the way to school, the booming sound like last night was heard again in the village, but this morning the banging was louder. All residents were surprised by the sound, the voice came from the direction of Mount Merapi. Not long after, the ground in Kemuning village shook, it was a big earthquake that lasted 30 seconds but was able to destroy several people's houses. People were crying and screaming hysterically because their houses were destroyed, people who did not have time to leave their houses were buried by chunks of the walls of the house, many were injured and many died. From behind Budi saw a group of people running scared screaming for help. Budi was stunned and silent when he saw the very thick smoke from the direction of the mountain, it was a hot cloud from a volcanic eruption. Budi ran as fast as he could, he didn't expect that his nightmare would come true. While running, Budi saw a pickup truck carrying victims of a natural disaster. Budi ran towards the pickup and hoped to survive the disaster. But unfortunately, Budi tripped over a large rock and made him fall, but Budi was able to get back up and run again towards the pickup. The pickup car was already running, Budi was left behind. He did not want to give up, he continued to chase the car while screaming. Fortunately, the driver who brought the car saw Budi from the rearview mirror. Budi was rescued by them and joined the disaster victims. They were taken to the evacuation post, where Budi shouted the names of his parents, but there was no answer. It turned out that his father and mother did not survive the natural disaster. They have died from hot clouds from Mount Merapi. Budi cried loudly, he wished this was all a dream, but unfortunately, this is reality. Budi has to accept the harsh reality he has experienced, now Budi lives alone, he must be able to be strong in living his new life. Get out of the routine of life It's late now, I have to get ready to go home. Today's work is very tiring for me, I feel like I want to go on vacation to the mountains or the beach to release the fatigue caused by this boring routine. The clock is already showing 05.00 pm, it's time for me to go home. All right, I'm gonna shut down all the factory machinery, so I can get out of here. "*Anton, please lock the gates and fences,*" said Mr Ahong, a manager at this factory "*Okay sir,*" I answered The bus stop is already crowded, it looks like I won't be getting a seat anymore. My home and work are not far, but it can take two hours. Do you know why? Because every afternoon and morning, the highway is always filled with vehicles that make traffic jams. The sun had set, it was night. My stomach feels so hungry, but there is no food for me to cook, I have to go out to find a food seller. After walking for 300 meters, I arrived at a restaurant filled with visitors, I had intended to eat at this place, but because the table was full, I asked the restaurant staff to wrap it so I could eat at home. After finishing eating, I burned the cigarette that was left. I enjoyed the cigarette smoke billowing out of my mouth. After I finished smoking, I felt tired and sleepy, I had to go to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. It's time for me to sleep so that tomorrow morning I can go back to work. *Ring! Ring! Ring!* The alarm sound from the clock has sounded, the hand has shown 05.30 am. I have to get ready to go to work. The sun had not yet shown its rays, it was still dark, but the bus stop was already filled with people who wanted to go to work and school. Damn, we're stuck in traffic again. I arrived at the factory at 07.30 am, there was still 30 minutes for breakfast. After having eaten breakfast, it was time for me to work with the production machines. This is the routine I live in, my life is just in the same loop. Get up early, work, go home and rest. It's been 10 years since graduating from school, I feel life is very boring. I can't even collect the income from my salary every month, because my life needs are very large, starting from the cost of renting a house, the cost of electricity, water, daily meals. Not to mention unexpected costs like paying a doctor when I'm sick or expenses for buying household appliances such as a lamp that suddenly goes out. "*Anton, can you come with me for a moment,*" said Mr Ahong "*Okay sir,*" I answered "*So it's like this, our company is experiencing a decline in profits,*" said Mr Ahong who was sitting at his desk, "*Because of this pandemic, very few goods were sold,*" he said again. "*Then how, sir?*" I asked "*We have to reduce employees,*" he replied "*There are 10 workers to be expelled, because we can't afford to pay salaries,*" he said again "*So, I am one of the employees who will be expelled from this company?*" I ask again "*Yes,*" replied Mr Ahong My manager gave me the allowance in a brown envelope. Starting tomorrow I no longer work in this company. I spent ten years of time and energy keeping this company operating, but they just kicked me out. I am very disappointed in this company. Tomorrow I have to find another job because I don't know how long the money Mr Ahong gave me can last in my hands. The virus pandemic has made life even more difficult, 25 companies have rejected my job application, and even less money has been given to me by the company where I worked. I don't know what else to do. I kept praying to God, but God seemed deaf and didn't hear my prayer. I've been unemployed for three months and haven't found a job, the last money I hold is only enough to pay the rent. It's useless if I stay here, I should just get out of here and sell all the equipment in this house. OK, I've sold them all. I already have $300 in hand, I have to buy my necessities to survive. Now I'm at the bus stop to go to Karo Village, from there I can start my new life. Arriving at Karo Village, I stopped briefly at a coffee shop to rest for a while, the people in this village are very friendly and friendly, very much different from the city people who are very selfish and self-centred. After half an hour of relaxing and enjoying coffee, I started climbing Mount Sibayak. The journey from Karo village to the top of the mountain takes 5 hours, I arrived at the top of the mountain at 06.00 pm, the air here is very cool and fresh, not like in a city full of pollution. After building the tent, I gathered sticks of wood to make a fire so I could boil water. It seems this is my final destiny, I have to live with nature. Now I'm starting to learn to live in the wild, I've bought a book on how to grow crops, so I can have the food I grow myself. I also learned to make weapons and animal traps for hunting. Now that I have been living in the wild for 5 years, I feel a calm and peaceful life. Life without boring routine, no need to think about any expenses like in the city, now I don't need money, I don't need to obey work authority, now I'm free. This is absolute life for me, I love it. Wirjo the School Gang Leader In 1978, schools in Indonesia got a bad image, it was because every student in schools was booming making gangs. The school gangsters are also competing to be famous and feared, so there are frequent brawls between student gangs. Each gang has its post, where they often hang out and drink alcohol. Even so, there are also students who don't want to join a violent gang. Students who do not join a gang are often bullied. One of the students who did not choose to join a gang was Wirjo, he was a **Panca Budi high school** student, he did not like violence, every day he just sat in the library to read books. One day, he meets Kohar, one of the gang leaders at his school. Kohar always forced Wirjo to join their group, but Wirjo always refused. "*Hey, Wirjo, you have to pay if you want to pass,*" said Kohar as he pulled Wirjo's shirt collar "*Cuh,*" (Wirjo spat in Kohar's face) "*BUMP*," (A punch hits Wirjo's face) Wirjo fell to the ground, while wiping the blood that dripped from his lips, Wirjo stood up and said "*I'd rather die than join you,*" said Wirjo Kohar shouted "Beat Him", immediately Kohar's group beat and kicked Wirjo. But he was not silent, he also tried to fend off and hit the people who ganged up on him. Suddenly, Udin came one of the students who also didn't want to join a gang. Udin came with a piece of wood to help Wirjo. The two of them also fought against Kohar's group. Kohar and his men numbered 20 people, of course, Kohar won in that fight, Wirjo and Udin lay helpless, the money that was in their shirt pockets was taken by Kohar and his Gangs. "*What are you doing here,*" said Wirjo "*I don't want you to be beaten by them,*" replied Udin After that, they went home with a battered and battered face. Wirjo who is an Individualist doesn't want to be friends with anyone, but Udin always follows Wirjo, he is very happy to be friends with Wirjo. Arriving home, Wirjo saw a lot of people gathered in front of his house, he was surprised, what happened there? He came closer to his house to find out what happened. "*Mother...!!*" shouted Wirjo Turns out, his mother died. After it was discovered, it turned out that his mother had just been abused by a debt collector. Due to his poor family life, his mother often went into debt to buy daily food. Wirjo was very upset, his soul was filled with blazing anger. Wirjo knows who abused his mother, he is Salim. Salim is the underling of Mr. Cokro the loan shark. Wirjo's mother owes Mr. Cokro a very high interest, so he orders Salim to collect Wirjo's mother's debts. Unable to pay off the debt and interest, Salim also abused Wirjo's mother. Wirjo came to Mr. Cokro's house with great anger, like a fire doused with gasoline. "*Salim, I'll kill you!* " shouted Wirjo He directly hit Salim's face, the man fell to the floor, but Salim did not stand still, he got up and hit Wirjo's back. Because Wirjo was angry, Salim did not feel the blow for him. Wirjo went crazy, he took a chair in Mr. Cokro's living room and hit it on Salim's head. Salim falls again and his head is bleeding. Wirjo gets another chance to hit Salim who is in pain, he kicks his head and sits on Salim's stomach. Blow after blow hit Salim's face, instantly, Salim died with a face that had been shattered by Wirjo's blow. Not long after, Mr. Cokro came and was surprised to see his dead men covered in blood. Wirjo immediately ran towards Mr. Cokro, he also wanted to kill Mr. Cokro. Mr. Cokro tried to run, but Wirjo was more agile so he was able to catch up to Mr. Cokro. Wirjo did the same thing as Wirjo did to Salim. Mr. Cokro died at the hands of Wirjo. After his mother was buried, Wirjo felt insecure. He knew he would be wanted by the police. So he moved to the city of Jakarta and attended Suka Maju High School. At his new school, Wirjo begins to experience violence again. He is bullied by Fikri, a student in the same class. Fikri challenges Wirjo to a fight, but Wirjo refuses. Suddenly, Fikri kicked Wirjo from behind, causing him to fall. Wirjo got up and hit Fikri's face, they fought one by one, Fikri's attack didn't hurt Wirjo, instead, it was Fikri who bled a lot, until finally, Wirjo threw the final blow to Fikri's face, and Fikri lost. It turns out that the fight was seen by Alex, he is the leader at Suka Maju High School, Alex is very afraid of groups from other schools. "*I salute your greatness,*" said Alex while holding Wirjo's shoulder, "*What's your name?*" asked Alex "*I'm Wirjo, what do you want?*" said Wirjo "*Come on, join my group, then you won't be bothered by anyone,*" said Alex Wirjo was silent for a moment he didn't want to join a gang. The goal of the school is only to achieve his dream of becoming a doctor, but because he has a grudge against Kohar, the person who always bullied him when he was at Panca Budi High School, he accepts Alex's offer. Since then, Wirjo has often fought and fought with other schools. He has killed students from other schools three times while fighting. During a fight with a gang from Budi Utomo Vocational School, Alex had bad luck, his head was hit by a gear motor, Wirjo tried to save Alex, but there was so much blood coming out of his head that Alex's life could not be saved. The next day, the Suka Maju High School gang gathered, they discussed the election of a leader, because their leader, Alex had just died. "*Okay, which one of you wants to lead this gang?*" asked one of the gang members Fikri and Wirjo came forward, they were both candidates to lead this gang. So, they had to fight hand-to-hand, until one of them gave up. The fight begins, Fikri immediately kicks Wirjo in the face so that he immediately falls, not wanting to waste the opportunity, Fikri jumps and directs a punch at Wirjo, but Wirjo can dodge and kick back at Fikri. It turned out that Fikri had intended to cheat, he took out a knife to stab Wirjo in the chest. Wirjo was able to fend off Fikri's attack, but Fikri managed to injure Wirjo's left thigh. When Fikri tries to stab Wirjo's chest again, Wirjo's kick hits Fikri's hand, the knife that Fikri is holding falls. Immediately, Wirjo strangled Fikri's neck and broke his hand, Fikri screamed in pain. Finally, Wirjo took the knife that had fallen earlier and stabbed Fikri's neck to death. "*Bury the body under the tree,*" said Wirjo, ordering his gang members to Since then, Fikri has been declared a missing person. Now Wirjo takes his gang members to Panca Budi High School, where he used to go to school. He still holds a grudge against Kohar. They visited Panca Budi High School at night, broke the glass, damaged school furniture, and even scribbled on walls. In a graffiti on the wall that reads Suka Maju High School The next day, the students there looked surprised by all the damage that had happened to their school. Then Kohar reads a message on the wall, Kohar has not dared to attack Suka Maju High School, because the school is very feared, but Kohar does not know that the mastermind behind the destruction of his school is a former student of Panca Budi High School whom he used to often oppress. In the end, Kohar didn't want to take the risk, he didn't want to make a fuss about it all. The clock shows 01.00 in the afternoon, lessons at school are over. As the Panca Budi High School students were walking home, members of Wirjo attacked them, but Wirjo did not participate in the action. Kohar and several of his members were kidnapped and put in sacks of rice, they were dragged and taken to Wirjo's headquarters. When they got there, Kohar and his members were tied to an iron pole, they were surprised to see Wirjo standing in front of them. "*I'm sorry Wirjo, please let me go,*" said Kohar, asking for forgiveness from Wirjo But Wirjo didn't care, he left the base and lit his cigarette. He also ordered one of his members to look for Udin, his former school friend who was also often bullied by Kohar. When Udin and his members arrived at the headquarters, Udin was surprised to see Wirjo. "*How are you Wirjo? You have now entered the gang,?*" ask Udin "*We'll discuss that later, now you come with me,*" said Wirjo When the headquarters door was opened and the lights were turned on, Udin was surprised to see Kohar and his group being tied to an iron pole. Udin was very surprised by the incident. "*What about them?*" said Udin "*Why did you bring me here? What happened?*" ask Udin once again "*Look, Udin, you're often beaten by them, now do what you want,*" said Wirjo Udin also hit Kohar in the face, he kicked and continued to hit Kohar who was tied up. Kohar screamed in pain from being beaten by Udin. Udin took the wooden block beside him. Kohar's head was hit continuously by Udin with a wooden block. Until finally, Kohar was killed, as well as several members. Udin was very satisfied because he had killed the person who bullied him at school. "*Wirjo, I want to transfer to your school,*" said Udin Wirjo just smiled and allowed Udin to join Wirjo's gang. The next day, Udin officially moved to Suka Maju High School. He is now with Wirjo's gang, they are often involved in brawls between schools. Until one day, they fought against Raksana Vocational School. Amid the fighting, the police came and arrested the students involved in the brawl. Wirjo and Udin ran towards the river to escape. They both jump down the river and hope to survive the police chase. But, the police shot them both until finally, they died. Their bodies were also eaten by crocodiles in the river. Keep Giving To All *Type of Writing: Short Story* *Writing Genre: Fiction, Life* ***The Lead image by*** ***Unsplash*** https://unsplash.com/photos/XX2WTbLr3r8 At that time the sun was shining very hot in Kulon Market, Sukowati Village. Jono, who had just moved a sack of rice into the pickup, wiped the sweat dripping from his forehead. Indeed, at that time the village was in the dry season, it had been more than a month that it had not rained to wet the earth. "*Kid, please pick up my groceries,*" said a woman who had just bought groceries at the Kulon market. "*Okay ma'am,*" answered Jono who was looking tired Jono is indeed in the Kulon market every day to earn money, in the Kulon market he works as a porter, Jono gets paid when he helps other people to carry groceries. Jono is only 12 years old, but he doesn't go to school, because Jono comes from a poor family. Both of Jono's parents had died, so he was only cared for by his old and often sick grandfather. Therefore, Jono had to work hard to be able to buy food for his grandfather and also himself. The clock shows 04.00 pm, today Jono has received a salary of 20 thousand rupiahs. The 12-year-old child is happy and grateful because tonight Jono and his grandfather can eat grilled fish and vegetables from their hard work at the Kulon market. Jono went home on foot for 3 kilometers, but in the middle of the road, he stopped at a playing field. There he saw children his age playing soccer, some were playing hide and seek. Jono smiled seeing children his age playing and having fun with their friends, it seemed that Jono wanted to be like them, to be able to go to school and play without any burdens, but fate said otherwise, Jono had to keep working so he could eat. The sun had just set, Jono came home with two packs of rice and a side dish of grilled fish that Jono had just bought when he walked home. "*Grandpa, tonight we eat grilled fish,*" said Jono while putting the food on the plate, "*Alhamdulillah, today I got a lot of money,*" he said again "*Thank God, you take a shower first, after Shalat (pray) Maghrib we eat together,*" said his grandfather "*Okay grandpa,*" said Jono After bathing and finishing shalat, Jono and his grandfather ate together, a delicious grilled tilapia they enjoyed with a plate of white rice and vegetables. Usually, Jono can only buy kale and boiled eggs, but tonight they are very grateful to be able to enjoy a side dish of fish. Meow! There was the sound of a cat from the front door, his grandfather told his grandson to give some of the fish to the cat. "*Jono, the cat seems hungry, please give some fish to the cat,*" said his grandfather "*Okay grandpa,*" said Jono while giving some of the fish to the cat While enjoying the food, Jono's grandfather gave good advice to Jono "*Whatever you earn, don't forget to share with all creatures, because all living things have the right to eat,*" said his grandfather Jono. The next morning, at 04.30 am, Jono woke up because he was about to pee. While walking to the toilet, Jono saw his grandfather who was Shalat Subuh (praying at dawn), but Jono did not pray. He was still sleepy and wanted to go back to sleep after urinating. When Jono woke up again at 07.00 am, Jono saw his grandfather again who was praying in a prostrate position, in Jono's mind, how come his grandfather was doing sunnah prayers, but Jono still walked to the bathroom to wash his face. When he came out of the bathroom, his grandfather Jono's position did not move, his position remained in a state of prostration. Jono was a little suspicious until he noticed his grandfather who was praying. After 3 minutes of seeing his grandfather who didn't move, Jono started to panic, he went to his grandfather and tried to wake him up. It turned out that Jono's grandfather had died since dawn, Jono cried sadly while hugging his grandfather's lifeless body, now Jono lives alone. Before his grandfather died, Jono's goal was to work and earn money just to be able to care for and feed his grandfather, now Jono doesn't know what his purpose in life is anymore. Suddenly a cat sat in front of his door, it was a stray cat who had been given grilled fish by him. Jono was immediately reminded of his grandfather's advice and messages when he was still alive about sharing with all creatures. Now Jono is back to his usual activities, working at the Kulon market to earn money, but the money he gets from his work is partly set aside to feed stray cats that do not have an employer. Even when he earned more money, some of the money he donated to beggars and the poor on the streets. Even though Jono lived as a poor child, he was still generous, not stingy, and willing to share. The Paperboy Who Keeps Smiling On a sunny morning to start activities with enthusiasm, Tono rides his bicycle while delivering newspapers to his loyal customers, meanwhile, Siska who is walking to the market is almost hit by Tono's bicycle. "*Hey, if you ride a bicycle, look at it,*" snapped Siska while glaring at Tono "*Sorry Siska, I didn't mean to,*" answered Tono, "Besides, you also can't see left and right when crossing," he added. "*Huh, I don't care, go out there,*" replied Siska with an annoyed tone. Tono and Siska have been friends since childhood, they grew up in the same village. As an adult, Tono worked as a paperboy, while Siska worked as a maid in the 'Bumi Asri' housing estate. Tono every day delivers newspapers at the housing estate, so the two of them often see each other. While at Pasar Senen (traditional market) after Siska finished shopping for vegetables, Tono came to Siska to take her to Siska's employer's house. "*Sis, let me take you home,*" said Tono, offering a ride "*Huh, why are you following me all the way here,*" Siska asked Tono "*No,*" replied Tono, "*Earlier, I just delivered the newspaper near here,*" said Tono again. "*You're really good at making excuses,*" said Siska "*Why do you keep getting angry, come on up, or I'll leave you here,*" Tono said Siska sat on the back of Tono's bicycle. Actually, Tono had come to Pasar Senen on purpose to meet Siska, but Tono was embarrassed to admit it. The two of them headed for the 'Bumi Asri' housing estate while telling stories and joking, occasionally stopping by to buy snacks on the roadside. Until finally they arrived at Siska's employer's house. That afternoon, when Siska was sweeping her employer's yard, the phone rang from inside the house Ring! Ring! Ring! Siska immediately went inside to pick up the ringing phone. "*Hello, good afternoon,*" Siska asked while holding the red telephone receiver "*Hi Siska, what are you doing?*" someone asked from the phone, it turned out to be Tono "*Hey, I'm sweeping, what are you calling here for?*" Siska replied "*Tonight, do you have a schedule? Let's watch 'Layar Tancap' (Outdoor Cinema),*" said Tono "*Okay, where is the Layar Tancap held,?*" ask Siska "*In the next village, I'll pick you up later,*" replied Tono "*Alright,*" That night, Tono also pedaled his bicycle to the 'Bumi Asri' housing estate with neat clothes and the smell of perfume that he bought at Pasar Senen. Because tonight is a special night for Tono. After meeting Siska, they went to the other side of the village to watch a drama film on Layar Tancap. Visitors there are already busy wanting to watch the drama film, even many street vendors are selling there. Tono also bought some snacks and cold drinks for them to enjoy while watching movies. Every Saturday night, the two of them spend time together, sometimes watching Layar Tancap, sometimes watching Wayang Kulit, and sometimes playing in the evening entertainment. Until that moment arrived, Siska met her best friend, Tono in front of the gate of the 'Bumi Asri' housing to deliver the news. "*Tono, my mother from the village called me,*" said Siska with a happy smile, "*Finally, Budi, the son of the village head, wants to propose to me,*" added Siska excitedly. At that moment Tono was silent for a moment, his heart felt like it was shattered into pieces as if it had just been struck by a thunderbolt. Even though Tono has feelings for Siska, he never expresses what he feels to Siska "*Wow, that's good, congratulations, soon to be the daughter-in-law of the village head,*" said Tono with a sweet smile even though his heart was hurt like it was sliced by a sword. "*Tomorrow, you have to take a day off from work, accompany me to the village,*" said Siska "*Okay, I will give full support to my best friend,*" said Tono, "*Hurry up, go shopping first, I also want to deliver newspapers for customers,*" added Tono again. Tono's love is one-sided, he loves Siska with all his heart, but Siska only considers Tono as her best friend. Even though Tono was very hurt, he still smiled and was willing to endure pain for Siska's happiness. In the end, Siska married Budi, the son of the village head in her hometown, and Tono became a special guest on her wedding day.
