Never seen flood this beautiful
When torrential rains flooded a neighboring river, a natural reserve in Jardim, Brazil, was converted into a spectacular underwater wonderland last 2018. This flood was unlike any other. At Rio de Prata Ecological Recanto, completely clear waters overwhelmed the route. The trees, grass, and even the dirt roads appeared to be perfectly crystalline. According to Atlas Obscura, when significant rains fall in the area, the Rio de Prata slows down and dams, raising the water level in the Olho d'Agua.
The river from Olho D'Agua is clear, according to the reserve, "thanks to their maintained riparian forest and being located within a Private Reserve of Natural Patrimony - PRNP, a sort of Conservation Unit."Because it passes through a limestone karst, the water is exceptionally clean. Visitors are explicitly encouraged not to kick up silt when going through the reserve because it is so concerned about its maintenance. While monitoring the location, a park ranger discovered the underwater dreamscape. He pulled out a video camera and documented his journey around the suddenly watery world, including a shot of a bridge that appears to lead nowhere.
The reserve described the incident as a "rare occurrence," and the river had restored to normal levels by the end of the day.
This sooo wonderful and pretty. I would like to visit this huehue I just hope there's no snake swimming with me 😬
