Domino Effect

The continuous price hike of various products today caused so much trouble especially to those people in the marginalized sector. It's like a domino effect that become a nightmare to those people who strive hard to provide for their family. It seems like your P1,000 is not enough to feed your family for a few days.

A lot of products almost doubled its price just recently but the most popular is gasoline and diesel. It's like a luxury now if your vehicle is always full tanked. This affected the increase of fare on public vehicles. Citizens and mostly students are requesting to bring back the fare before implementing face to face classes because it'll be a great problem for them and for their parents. However, this decrease seems like too far to achieve right now as the fuel almost doubled it price.

People are fighting and debating why our fuel increase but it's also part of the consequences of the fight between Ukraine and Russia.

Another significant product that increased in price is cooking oil. In our area 1 gallon only costs around ₱300 ($6) per gallon. Now, one gallon costs ₱400 ($8) and rumors that it'll continue to rise. This affects of course the business that involves cooking, they have to increase the price of their products leading to a risk whether they will still get customer or not. The price of flour rise too causing wrapper to rise it's price as well, and other products that used flour like bread to increase the price.

The Domino Effect had started again and we don't know when it'll stop.
