From the center of Kyiv, we drive for almost two hours, across the Metro bridge, the left bank, bypass Brovary, and then drive further to the village of Korniivka, Baryshiv district. On the way, we pass villages where remnants of warfare are still visible...

At 11 in the morning, people gathered near Yehor's grandmother's house. They brought the coffin - and people came to say farewell took place. Edward made a speech, relatives of the fallen soldier, and representatives of local authorities also spoke, and his grandmother was the last to speak. I remembered that she wished everyone to have friends like Yehor...

Then - another two-hour drive to the Baikovo cemetery in Kyiv, to the crematorium. There were traffic jams in the city, today is still memorial religious day, and there were also traffic jams on Baikova street itself.

The spring heat is already felt in the air and on the road. On the way to Kyiv, in neighboring villages, people met the hero's coffin on their knees. It was significant as the distance between the villages was relatively large, but people were coming out, and the road was strewn with flowers...
