I watch a lot of movies. And I will review some of them sometimes. Because in each movie, there are things to learn, or a meaning to share.
I watched ''Free Guy'' recently, and I would like to say that's a good movie to watch. I watched it in low-quality first, then I found it in a good quality and watched it again with my wife. After watching the second time, I found out new things about it. I like the movies that make me think. I like also those films with positive meaning. In ''Free Guy'' there are a few good ideas to consider.
You can watch the trailer here :
So, first, the main actor in the movie is Ryan Reynolds. He is the one who played in ''Deadpool'' and other great movies. The movie ''Free Guy'' is a kind of illustration of the famous game GTA. It's a game where the character can walk in the city and do what ever he/she likes. They can drive a car, walk in the market, buy things, meet people, and many other things what makes the player feels the game more real.
In the movie, they show a regular citizen who watch TV, wear the same clothes, eats the same food and has the same habits, from going to work till spending time with friends. So, in fact they don't just show a character from a game, but they mean that there are so many citizens that act the same. We may say serve the system. So, in fact they don't choose their own lives, but it's like an algorithm forced by the system. And some things are even accepted without thinking, they just do what others are doing.
Another scene I liked as well from the movie, when the main character gave glasses to his friends to see what's happening in real, but his friend was so afraid of seeing the truth. When he was asked why he can't wear those glasses to see what's going on in real, he answered that he just can't. The same about citizens who are used to serve the system, even if they will be told about things that's hurting them and their families, they will not believe and keep trusting the government and what's told in TV and mass media. In fact they can't do that because of fear. Because they can't imagine that things can be done other ways.
The same about the guy who couldn't put his hands down. He used to walk everywhere with hands up. The hero asked him to put them down and that he doesn't be afraid of anything and putting his hands down is not scary, but the guy couldn't do that. Even when he tried and felt some freedom, because of the fear he puts his arms up again. That's of course about those people who just follow what was told to them, don't argue and don't criticize anything official just because they think that should be the right thing to do. They may even forget about some rights to not lose, at least what they have. That's affecting many people, and it's sad to see.
Also, when the director of the company where the game was created talked with the programmer who wrote the code, he was so strict with him and told him that he can't decide things about the game because he's just a worker. While the main idea of the game was created by that developer. But he was also so afraid to be the main guy or to be even a manager in the company. I guess he accepted to be just a tester of the game. That's an analogy with people who can do better, live a better life or have a better job or earn more money, but because of their fear they don't improve. And even if they get a high position, it's hard for them to deal with it.
The movie is really great, and especially for those who understand what's going on in this world.
It's maybe even good to watch to make some people open their eyes more.
Funny enough I've had this movie amongst my videos for awhile but I haven't gotten to watching it yet. I guess now I will.
