BLOCKCHAINTOPIA (Blockchain utopia) [ENG-ESP]

Every epoch drags with it the burdens of past times, and therefore tries with a certain eagerness to change paradigms and ways of being. Each era proposes to increase the freedom that society and culture confer to human beings. They are not flat roads, they are rough paths, full of mud and sludge, sometimes there are not even outlines of a path, it is all swamp and we must keep moving forward.

If we stop to think a little about all that we drag from the past, we can write down a huge list, but the question is, where to start?

I think it is important to know how to plan the beginning, since it will be the most difficult moment and the one that will demand the most attention and strength. And although there is some struggle on several social flanks, Blockchain technology points with frightening and hopeful accuracy to the origin of many problems and no, it is not only to the traditional economic system as we know it. I'm talking about politics.

Politics hasn't changed much in the last 1000 years, maybe it has in form, but not in essence. Democracy and tyranny although distant in definition sometimes in the real world are closely related and feed back on each other. The existence of the suffrage mechanism to express a certain popular will is not synonymous with freedom. True freedom is not to choose among the dishes on a menu, true freedom is to choose what will be written on the menu.

What does Blockchain propose in the political arena?

This technology, boasts two indispensable attributes that compose it one is transparency and the other is decentralization. At an economic level they are incredibly revolutionary concepts, at a political level it turns everything upside down. Tell a politician that from tomorrow all transactions will be reflected in real time in an accounting book of free access and domain, anyone can see every financial movement however small it may be, and add to that that any movement of funds must first be approved by the people, and that it will be the same people who will propose social projects of any scope.

It would be interesting to see his face when he sees that it will be like this, well, if he is an honest politician (which there are, but very few) he will feel that from now on politics will change, if he was not an honest politician we will see in his house a lot of anguish. Since undoubtedly, and for nobody it is a secret that in politics there is a lot of corruption, at least in Latin America where I live it is the daily bread.

Now, to think of a blockchain utopia is not so far-fetched, only that to reach that point as a human society in global environments we understand that we are like a big family and that borders are nothing more than inventions that have divided at an incalculable price, since geography has been nothing more than a reason for disputes. I am a dreamer, and I would like to think of a world where there are no more wars, where there are possibilities of well-being for all, where there are the necessary conditions to develop as human beings, and where life is not an expense. Although thinking a blockchain society as we think today in the blockchain has its risks, many in fact. But it is possible that as everything is taking shape and changing as the years go by, and the blockchain today is a prototype of the blockchain of the future.

BLOCKCHAINTOPÍA (Utopía Blockchain)

Cada época arrastra consigo lastres de tiempos pasados, y por ello intenta con cierta avidez de ánimo cambiar paradigmas y modos de ser. Cada época plantea aumentar la libertad que la sociedad y cultura le confieren al ser humano. No son caminos llanos, son senderos escabrosos, llenos de fango y lodo, incluso a veces ni siquiera hay esbozos de un sendero, es todo pantano y hay que seguir avanzando.

Si nos detenemos a pensar un poco en todo aquello que arrastramos de tiempos pasados podemos apuntar una enorme lista, ahora bien, la pregunta es ¿Por dónde comenzar?

Considero importante saber plantear el inicio ya que será el momento más difícil y que más atención y fuerzas exigirá. Y aunque hay cierta lucha por varios flancos sociales, la tecnología Blockchain apunta con una exactitud aterradora y esperanzadora al origen de muchos problemas y no, no es únicamente al sistema económico tradicional como lo conocemos. Hablo de política.

La política no ha cambiado demasiado en los últimos 1000 años, quizá si lo ha hecho en su forma, pero no en esencia. Democracia y tiranía aunque lejanos en definición a veces en el mundo real están muy emparentados y se retroalimentan. Qué exista el mecanismo del sufragio para expresar cierta voluntad popular no es sinónimo de libertad. La verdadera libertad no es escoger entre los platos de un menú, la verdadera libertad es escoger lo que estará escrito en el menú.

¿Qué es lo que Blockchain propone en el ámbito político?

Está tecnología, se jacta de dos atributos indispensables que le componen uno es la transparencia y el otro es la descentralización. A nivel económico son conceptos increíblemente revolucionarios, a nivel político pone todo patas arriba. Dile a un político que a partir del día de mañana todas las transacciones se van a reflejár en tiempo real en un libro contable de libre acceso y dominio, cualquier persona puede ver cada movimiento financiero por más pequeño que este sea, y a eso añade que cualquier movimiento de fondos debe ser aprobado primero por las personas, y que serán las mismas personas las que propondrán proyectos sociales de ámbito cualquiera.

Sería interesante mirar su rostro al ver que será así, bueno de ser un político honesto (que los hay, pero muy pocos) sentirá que a partir de ahora la política cambiara, si no era un político honesto veremos en su casa mucha angustia. Ya que sin duda, y para nadie es un secreto que la en la política hay mucha corrupción, por lo menos en Latinoamérica donde vivo es el pan de cada día.

Ahora bien, pensar una utopía blockchain no es tan descabellado, solo que para llegar a ese punto como sociedad humana en ámbitos globales entendamos que somos como una gran familia y que las fronteras no son más que inventos que han dividido a un precio incalculable, ya que geografía no ha sido más que motivos de disputas. Soy un soñador, y me gustría pensar en un mundo donde ya no hayan guerras, donde haya posibilidades de bienestar para todos, que existan las condiciones necesarias para desarrollarnos como seres humanos, y que la vida no sea un gasto. Aunque pensar una sociedad blockchain tal como pensamos hoy en la blockchain tiene sus riesgos, muchos en realidad. Pero es posible que como todo vaya tomando forma y vaya cambiando conforme pasan los años, y la blockchain hoy sea un prototipo de la blockchain del futuro.
