The future of social media belongs to censorship-resistant platforms
It's not a message one likes to see.
btcfork's account has been suspended indefinitely on a claim of 'vote manipulation'.
There is an appeal process, and if the admin reconsider, we may be back at some point.
Having been temporarily suspended from Twitter before by an indiscriminate algorithm, btcfork is no stranger to the dangers of centralized social media platforms.
That's why btcfork has a presence on various platforms, including the highly censorship-resistant Bitcoin Cash blockchain (which serves as a decentralized message board using the Memo protocol, accessible via such sites as https://memo.cash).
Implications
A. For now, the following channels should be used to contact btcfork, in order of preference:
Twitter DMs (only semi-private; Twitter employees and spooks will likely be able to read our messages. These sets are apparently not disjoint anyway ;).
btcfork's public inbox on Memo. You'll need a Memo login or Member app account to post onto the blockchain.
Messages posted there are public and permanent, and what you post is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.Reply to one of our posts or comments here on this site (read.cash). Another public method, and probably considered as permanent as anything else written into a cloud :-)
B. Outreach and development related campaigns like #MYTHBUSTER (and the occasional fundraising #CGTOW) will continue via sites such as this one and Memo-based platforms.
C. To reach Reddit users, until we have final word on our appeal, we now depend on the Bitcoin Cash community's help to spread our message on that platform.
D. btcfork's contact public key fingerprint is 32EE 4DE8 1CF3 0C1C 70A7 A4CA 035A 045A 24E9 1727.
Will be publishing the pubkey shortly for anyone who wants to get in touch privately with btcfork.
Thank you to our sponsors. If you wish to support the work of btcfork, please consider adding yourself as a sponsor via the panel below. Even tiny amounts are greatly appreciated, and the read.cash site makes it really painless and easy to administrate.
