Make a list of your beliefs to check them....

  • 1.-- Describe a belief that you have.

  • 2.-- Rate how strongly you believe in it.

  • 3.-- Make a list of the reasons why you believe in it.

  • 4.-- List any experiences you have personally had that support them.

  • 5.-- Make a list of any reasons why or how you could be wrong.

  • 6.-- Describe how do you react when someone tells you it's not true.

  • 7.-- Analyze results.

To analyze results in a way that's effective, look at how strongly you believe in each one. Then compare your reasons ect.

Things to look for....

  • Did someone you trust tell you about it?

  • Is there any physical evidence that support your belief?

  • Do you get defensive or angry when someone debates with you?

  • If someone offers information that's contrary to your belief, do you research it?

  • How much time have spent researching the other side?

  • When offering your retort in a debate, do you offer logic, and facts?

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

Examples--

Example # 1

  • 1.-- Miracles

  • 2.-- 100%

  • 3.-- I've had miracles occurre directly after praying for them on multiple occasions.-- I've seen documents that record even bigger miracles like medical reports.

  • 4.-- An obvious torn muscle that showed 2 inch bump disappeared in about 5 minutes while praying over it.-- A girl went to emergency room because of extreme pain and swelling effecting entire right side of face. They told her it was an abscess tooth. She left because she didn't like the doctor's plan for treating it. About an hour later I prayed over it. Pain and pressure went away instantly. After about 4 hours the swelling was completely gone with no signs of infection in following days.

  • 5.-- All of my experiences including memories of seeing documents of miracles are delusions due to severe confirmation bias.

  • 6.-- I share personal experiences and links to documents recording miracles.

  • 7.-- Very likely a solid belief.

Example # 2

  • 1.-- Joe Biden is guilty of serious political crimes.

  • 2.-- 82%

  • 3.-- When Biden was Vice President- A Ukrainian prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was investigating Biden's son receiving $3,ooo,000 from Burisma Holdings (a natural gas company) - Biden threatened not to allow US loan guarantees if Skokin wasn't fired. It worked. Biden brags about this on video. - Biden stated in an interview that he'd never discussed his son's dealings with the company, but later his son said he had and there was an official meeting about it not long after that went on record.

  • 4.-- N.A.

  • 5.-- What occurred wasn't actually illegal. I am not an expert on laws of this subject. I haven't personally seen all documents involved. Innocent until proven guilty.

  • 6.-- I present links to information I discovered on it.

  • 7.-- Very likely, but not solid belief.

---------------------------------------------------------------

It's good to do this periodically. I would also suggest doing this for single beliefs whenever you find yourself spending time trying to convince other people to share your beliefs. This is just one of the many ways we can keep our egos in check. It can be surprisingly liberating ;

You can also do this with a list of your trusted resources of information.
