My Art- Flowers: Morning Glory, Hollyhock, Ect.
Hollyhocks (Alcea), Morning Glories, and Hibiscus, ect. These have been my favorite flowers to base my artwork around lately.
What drew me to these types of flowers at first wasn't the 'main' part at all though....
It was their sepals. It's the part between the stem and the flower. Typically leaf-like, elegantly hugging the flowers like shoes or a form fitting-dress. In my early art days I was obsessed with that part and made a lot with the sepals as the star or even alone....
Like this one--
The one above is from when I first started doing digital style artwork.
This next purple one started off a pinkish red. I did it a few weeks ago--
So did this one....
I believe these multi colored ones are called Morning Glory--
Now the next few are the yellow types....
I like this one especially because it's quite unique. Sort of a new style I'm working on....
Let me know if I should keep going with this new style.--
Not sure what the name of this flower is, but it's one of my newest pieces and it's vibrancy I couldn't resist. I just had to add it...;)
Another blue one, but this time it's a free-hand one like a few at the top of the list. It's also from my early digital art days--
Last 2.... The above is from my early days. I remember how proud I was of it at the time. Lol. Now I look at it and see room for improvement. Thought I'd add it as sort of a window into my history as an artist.
Next one is kind of new, I feel like it needs something or something taken away. I am looking for suggestions....
