Fruits of the carob tree (Ceratonia siliqua). At the end they will become brown. My grandfather liked a lot to chew them, it can be considered a substitute for cocoa. The beans are really really REALLY hard! The flour of them is used to make ice cream. Once I tried to make a lemon sorbet using it and I succeed! 😊

We like them so much, they are a sugar substitute because they are naturally sweet, we make a syrup out of them 😊
