Do you remember? 4/5 weeks ago I put an avocado 🥑 seed in the water, in this way https://noise.cash/post/1m77gnz5 Now a strong root started to go down and a little trunk to go up. No leafs yet, but all seems going well. 👍

I've been growing one for months then it died within two weeks after I put it in the soil. It was perfectly ok in the water. I suppose it didn't like the acidity of the soil or something else, I don't know. Sad...
I can't show any picture cuz I am not home right now. I just can tell that all the avocados that grew successfully with the leaves were from the seeds that sprout spontaneously in the soil. The soil is infact one of the place where I use to throw the peelings of fruits and vegetables, including the seeds of avocado! So avocados seem to like compost, a rich and soft (non-compact) ground. And half-shade/half-sun exposure..
