2021-04-02 General Protocols Statement on "CHIP-2021-02 Group Tokenization for Bitcoin Cash", from GeneralProtocols. I didn't exactly like it, as you will see from my cheeky response. However, I'm glad to say that in the meantime I have clarified it with emergent_reasons and we found understanding. We both want a steel-man proposal which can stand strong, and a steel-man proposal is what this community is going to get!
2021-04-03 Response to General Protocols Statement on "CHIP-2021-02 Group Tokenization for Bitcoin Cash". Here something quite unexpected happened, seems like someone liked that cheekines hah! Phew, after all that I'm both exhausted and excited at the same time! Armed with this experience, I'm looking forward to the next iteration of the CHIP. Stay tuned!
PS If anyone is wondering about SmartBCH which got announced in the meantime, I think it's awesome! Read this excellent summary by fixthetracking. What I'd love to see is tokens being able to move back and forth, so holders could choose whether to use them simply as cash on BCH chain or plug them into SmartBCH EVM and use for full-powered DeFi. SmartBCH has an advantage in that it's not constrained by the BCH upgrade cycle, so they can fly high and develop whatever they want! Go SmartBCH, fly!
