Good afternoon to all. How are you? Me, doing good and decided to write an article now to make up for yesterday 'coz i wasn't able to write one 'coz i was tired and went outside with My Mother here po, so now, babawi po ako, lol, please bear with me po, hope you will like and find this article of mine today po as helpful and informative as well po. Had i know this ways or means before, shouldn't have get a credit card so i won't be having a problem with it here now po, lol, nasa huli po talaga ang pagsisisi, now, thinking of ways or finding a way here just so i can pay it po as my balance there now's so big na po kasi 'yung interest po eh nag-interest po, lol.

Things To Consider Before Getting A Credit Card

It's a huge milestone and a big adjustment in case you decided to have it.

  • The best credit cards aren't for beginners.

The following are the options to consider:

    1. A student credit card or a credit card that's designed for college students.

    2. A secured credit card or a card that requires for a cash deposit.

    3. A credit card marketed to those with fair credit- it's generally defined as a credit score of 630 to 690.

    4. A credit card you pre-qualify for either through your bank or online or other similar tools.

  • A security deposit makes a credit card easier to get. - A secured credit card.

  • Your first credit card can build your credit or ruin it. - For the basis of your credit scores.

  • You can see the rates and fees before applying. - On the so called Schumer Box.

    Schumer Box includes the following:

    1. Annual fees- or what it charges cardholders on a yearly basis.

    2. APR or annual percentage rates- this is the interest rate you'll pay on balances you carry from month to month.

    3. Foreign transaction fees- or the fees charged when making purchases typically 3% of the amount charged.

    4. Late fees- which are charged when you pay late by even a day or if you don't pay at least the minimum amount due.

  • Credit card fees are avoidable.

    Below are the ways:

    1. Plenty of excellent starter cards including many secured cards don't charge annual fees.

    2. Late fees aren't an issue if you pay on time.

    3. Foreign transaction fees are irrelevant if you don't plan on using the card to make charges outside the country and several issuers don't charge foreign transaction fees anyway.

    4. The charges associated with balance transfers and cash advances are a moot point if you never make these types of transactions.

    5. Over-limit fees imposed when you exceed your credit limit, are all but extinct.

  • Interest is completely avoidable too. - if you pay before the grace period.

  • You can and should pay more than the minimum. - Pay the minimum payment due.

  • Paying late comes at a high cost.

    You could face the following:

    1. Late fees

    2. Penalty APRs.

    3. Damage to your credit.

  • Getting too close to your limit can sink your credit score. - Know your credit utilization ratio.

  • Dealing with credit card fraud isn't as difficult as it sounds.

    Here's why:

    1. It's the credit card company's money at stake not yours.

    2. You don't have to pay.

    3. Getting a replacement card is relatively easy.

  • If you're rejected for a credit card, the issuer will tell you why. - It's called adverse action notice.

Think twice or many times before you get yourself a credit card. On my part before, had opened an account that time and the teller told me that since i opened an account or savings account there, i can also have or applied for a credit card and that both cards will came or i will receive it both at the same time on the said date and time, never think of it and said yes, lol, now regretting it as i got a big balance or amount to pay already, My KJF told me that never do or apply for it but i never listened so now he tell me that he told me so, lol, don't do the same thing like what i did so you won't be problematic like me here now po. Good afternoon to all, coffee time for me now po, hope you had a good day today po.

When I managed to save up some money on my bank account, the bank offered me a credit card with £700 credit. I used it and made sure to always pay it back in time. So that is how I built up my credit score. The bank told me that I have a good credit history and they gradually increased my credit limit over the years. Now my new credit limit is £3000. You have to be very responsible when using a credit card.

When i opened an account before, they had offered me that said credit card n was able to pay it when i still working but since this pandemic and i was one of those whom on force leave, i wasn't able to pay it but the bank knows that i got no work for a year n a half now yet the interest's still going n the interest got an interest, thank u for the upvote, Sir :)
