This pandemic has made us to do most of our shopping whether for our basic commodities or even to not so important items to purchase it online. From food to non-food, we have relied so much on the internet. It is so convenient especially now that some of us are afraid to go out, all we can do is to browse an online shopping platform and add to cart. I know I have read @Ruffa's article before when she first experienced online shopping. She even took a screenshot of the items that she wishes to buy in the future or I am not sure if she also added it to her cart.

How was it when you first experienced shopping online? I know I have mentioned it already in one of my articles that I first started shopping online through Carousell mid 2018. However as far as I can remember, there weren't any carts in Carousell. You just have to message the seller regarding the posted item and you will click Make a deal. You can even haggle with the price.

Then I happened to know about Shopee also through some of the Carousell users. That time most of the sellers were from overseas or China rather. So I was hesitant at first because especially because it was overseas and the app was still new. But when I have already browsed the app, I saw a lot of cute items that I haven't seen in our local department stores. You can practically find almoat everything that you need. I started adding items to my cart but I never get to check out most of them. They are just there waiting for me but there are also some items that were already out of stock. I cannot remember the last time I browsed my cart, but there was a time that I saw that all of the items in my cart amounted to Php14,000 or less than $300. How about you? How much do you have in your cart? What is the reason you still have items in your cart?

The reason why I place items on my cart without checking them out is because it is much easier for me to go over it as they are all arranged per seller. Whenever I liked 1 item from 1 certain seller, I checked their other products if there arw anything that would catch my attention. That way I get to save shipping fee. Do you also browse other products from a certain seller? However, browsing more means adding so much more than what you have originally planned to buy. I know majority of you will agree to me if I say that it is so addicting to shop online and to add and add and add to cart. Though we have to always remind ourselves ro buy only what is needed.

My second reason that my items are still on my cart is either because I don't have money to pay for it or that I am still thinking about whether or not I will buy it. Needs before wants remember? And ask yourself 10 times or 20 times or even more if you really need it or you just want it.

Did you know that whenever my mom would browse any shopping platform either Shopee or Lazada, she would like a lot of items. And then she would tell me to order this, order that and so on. Good thing she doesn't know how to proceed with add to cart or checking out because tbat would really be a big problem because he would ask my dad to pay for all the items. My dad is practical and I am so-so. LOL. If it isn't really needed then there is no point in buying. I remember my mom even wanted to order a lot of baking supplies when she was into baking last year. She kept on dropping hints whenever she would bake that it was so hard to bake because she doesn't have this or she doesn't have that. I would just pretend that I didn't hear her.

The convenience of online shopping not only makes our lives a lot easier but it also is easier to spend our money at the comforts of our home especially to those who uses credit cards. Again with credit cards. LOL. But no I don't use my cards for online shopping as I am afraid that it might be hacked or it might be used by someone. I have only used it once when I bought caps for someone or should I say for my last flirtationship. LOL. He lost the cap that he bought in Canada so he requested for me to buy the same thing. Of course I bought him what he wanted and ordered online. Honestly it was so hard for me to know the brand of that cap because he said there was no tag inside so I just relied on the logo. Anyway, why am talking about him again? LOL.

My only advice to everyone who has the habit of shopping online is that we should limit doing it or we should really have the right mindset when doing our online purchases as this can make us go into debt. What's worst is that ee might get addicted to the point that we can't stop ourselves or that we would hide our purchases from our family because you know that you'll get a scolding then you should probably uninstall those apps. I am just really thankful that I have control over these things and it is all thanks to my past debts. Those are just some of the advices I can give. You are free to add more.
