Yuri and the Wedding Reception

I was invited by a distant aunt of her son's wedding today and their chosen venue was Casa De Comida. I did not confirm it yet that day. However, the following day, this aunt came to our house asking Nanang to be the godmother of the couple. While she was waiting for Nanang's answer, she called Yuri and showed to her the picture wherein she and one of the candidate running for Mayor ,DJ, was there. When Yuri was still 3 years old, she admired the handsome face of this young candidate and she had been wanting to have a picture of him. In fact, she had been campaigning him at home😁.

When she saw the picture, her eyes glistened with delight and immediately asked me if we can go. How can I say no to this pretty young girl? So I said YES! This morning, I totally forgot about the event because I was busy helping my sister with her halo-halo business. When I was resting and having snacks, she was busy preparing what to wear and even concerned about her shoes. She picked her white crop top and red skirt, because the candidate's theme is red.

She was too excited that she put a ribbon on her hair, even had a face powder and that sweet smile and excitement in her face. (Hahaha, ang bata pang magka-crush!). When we reached the venue, we immediately looked for Nanang's table. Then our aunt saw us and instantly, she assisted us to where DJ is and asked if we could have a photo with him. He immediately stand-up and have a photo with us. Just that Yuri was too shy that she didn't even smiled in our photo. It looks like that I was the one excited😁

Anyway, I am happy that one of Yuri's long time wish was finally granted🙂.

Meanwhile, at the wedding reception, the whole team of candidates vieing for the positions from Mayor to Sanguniang Bayan Members were present. It's the time of the year when you invite one, everyone comes along, it's a package deal. Anyway, that's okay because this aunt of ours are close to them because one of the SB member candidate is her niece's husband.

All smiles, waving and tapping everyone's shoulder; oh that Mr. And Ms. Congeniality! They did not stayed there for long, after eating, picture taking and rubbing elbows,they immediately left and maybe continue campaigning to nearby barangays. (They are not our bet for this coming election tho😁).

Actually, the original wedding plan was a simple one. However, the bride's family wanted it to be a memorable one for their daughter so the groom's family could not say no. Luckily, Casa de Comida was chosen to be their wedding venue. And because they are our relatives and super close to our parents, we did not charge them for the venue so they could use the money for other expenses.

Hoping and praying that these couple will love each other and will hold on to their promise of forever by hook or by crook.🙏

It was a success event again for Casa de Comida. 🎊🎊🎊.
