Surplus shopping!

Today, we went on shopping! Yes, me, my sisters and our friends went to 3 different surplus stores to hunt some stuffs for our homes and for ourselves. It was planned yesterday when my sister's friend showed to her what they have bought from a surplus store yesterday morning. And because they find really nice bargain items, we also got interested and invited them to join us today.

1st stop, in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte. There were a lot of items to choose from. Furnitures, tools, toys, clothes, kitchenwares and more. We really found good stuffs and we bought 10 clothes, 50 pesos each ($1), 1 stainless table, some kitchenwares (for mother dear) and foldable bed frame for my sister. Our friends bought furnitures too like cabinets, dresser and some large vases. I was shocked to know that some of the sold items when we got there were their orders too and ready for delivery😁. The kids were not bored because there were toys that they could use and play with. It took us 2 hours in that store.

After lunch, I thought we would already go home or go some side trips but no, after lunch we went to another surplus store. Just few meters away from our 1st stop. My sister said enough, she would no longer buy anything but as soon as she got inside and saw some cute displays, she could not help but grab and grab! I just accompany Yuri and her friend as they were searching for beads, stickers and toys. Spent another hour here before heading on to our last stop.

3rd and final stop in Paoay, Ilocos Norte. This time, me ans my sister focused on the kichen wares and we were lucky to see a Givenchy set. It's a bit pricey, 350 pesos per plate($7) but my sister didn't mind as she knew that Givenchy is a good name and a signatured one. She immediately checked the price online and it's worth $150 or 7,500 pesos per plate! Whoahh, that's expensive!

We dropped by at Paoay Waterpark for our snacks. We all got hungry after a very tiring and fun hunting. On our way home, my sister's friend told us a very incredible surplus story.

Some years ago, they went on a surplus shopping. Her sister was into furnitures and other home stuffs while she was busy on clothes, bags and shoes. Then a one bag caught her attention, a Prada! She immediately grabbed it, and checked what's inside. The inside pocket was cut as if someone slashed it. But she did not mind because the outside was still intact and it's really beautiful. She just told herself, she could fix it. She paid for that bag for 1,500 or $30. As soon as she got home, she excitedly opened the bag and showed it to her husband. Then while they were scrutinizing it, she felt something on the inner layer of the inside pocket. To her surprise, it was a Givenchy wallet. She opened it and lo and behold, it was filled with Yen and some $20. They counted the Yen and it amounted to 98000 Yen. Upon checking of the current value that time, it was 0.50 pesos or 49k pesos for that 98,000 Yen! She was so lucky and she really got a great bargain on that bag.

So next time you go on a surplus store, check those bags pockets, who knows you'll got lucky too!
