She is Diana
Diana, 42, came from a well-known family. Her father is a colonel, her sister is a doctor and her brother is a lawyer of the famous politicians and Diana is a judge. A wife of a police officer and a mother of 3; 4, 2 and 6 months respectively.
She is known to be a workaholic, strict and tough judge. When you look at her, she seemed to have everything in life; happy family, stable career and all. But behind that success, is a very sad and depressed Diana. After she gave birth to her youngest, her mental health has been greatly affected. She suffered from postpartum syndrome.
According to Mayo Clinic, 'most new moms experience postpartum "baby blues" after childbirth, which commonly include mood swings, crying spells, anxiety and difficulty sleeping. Baby blues typically begin within the first two to three days after delivery, and may last for up to two weeks.'
Maybe she was in denial at first and would want to resolve and fight it herself and would not want her family especially her husband to worry about her. She keep it to herself. Her husband thought it was just a normal thing;her mood swings, her difficulty in sleeping because she was always like that. But he remembered one time, after their 2nd child's check-up she complained why she could not apply what the doctor had been telling and explaining about their child's difficulty in speaking. She got so frustrated that she walked out from their house and drive the car so fast and did not even bother to call him where she went. Only to find out that she went to the beach nearby and just sit there.
Aside from that, there was no trace that Diana had been drowning from anxiety and depression. They still have their regular workout together, they still jog together early in the morning and have coffee along the beach, they have their regular bonding as family during weekends. He was seeing a happy Diana.
Until one early morning 5am, after his duty, when he arrived home, he noticed that their main gate was slightly opened. He noticed that the car was there, the lights were turned off; he felt nervous and immediately run inside their room. The kids were still sleeping but Diana was not there. He went to the maid's room and asked them if they noticed Diana but all of them said no. He then told them to watch over the kids and he'll just look for her outside.
He was about to drive their car out when he received a call, telling that his wife was found floating and dead on the beach where they usually go. He was shocked, alarmed and prayed that he might just be dreaming. He went to that said place and verified that it's her Diana.

It's a sad story but also a lesson to us; not just mothers but also to fathers. It's really important to have a regular conversation and communication in a relationship, an open one, so you could address problems instantly. Postpartum syndrome is a no joke. It can really be a serious and deadly one. I may be lucky to have not experienced it but there are a lot of women out there who are suffering from the said syndrome.
Seek help if you need one and always PRAY.
