This morning a very shocking news greeted our whole barangay. The result of our neighbor's swab test has been released and he was tested positive of covid. Although their area was a little far from our house, the people that they might have been socialized with intentionally or not might just be someone near us. We can never tell who are the virus carrier.
Yesterday there were only 8 positive cases in our town and only 2 barangays have been in total lockdown. But today it went up to 22 cases and 3 barangays were locked down. Here in our place, the whole neighborhood where the positive victim lived was also closely monitored by the local health unit and they put barricades. Our local officials also asked some policemen to guard the area to ensure that no one will break the protocols and cause any more trouble.
After hearing the news my sister and my brother immediately went to the market and to the grocery for our supply for 1-2 weeks. It's really scary because we have 3 kids and 3 senior citizens in our compound so we need to be really extra-extra careful.
And just tonight, my sister-in-law, who is in UK now with her whole family, sent a message to our group that she already received the result of her swab test and she was tested positive of the new covid variant. Although she said that we have nothing to worry about because she doesn't feel anything unusual, it's just like she is having a symptoms of flu. But still, it's covid and we cannot help but worry.
The virus is too close already and it's alarming how it spreads so quickly. But with proper care, healthy diet and faith in God then we have nothing to worry about. I have prayed for it since day 1 and I know that God will always and forever protect me and my family from danger.
