Last night, I finished organizing Yuri's clothes and today, decluttering continues and this time, her toys!!! She set the alarm at 5am but I changed it to 6am because we slept too late last night. But she still woke up earlier than our alarm clock and she was nagging me already of our today's agenda.

I told her to remove all her toys and things from the containers so she could identify which toys are for keeps and which toys she is willing to give. At first she was hesitant and would not want to touch anything. Maybe, just like me, she too is overwhelmed with the number of toys she has. I told her to touch each one and feel those that give her the spark of joy and those that are no longer useful for her, she must still say thank for that toy because for a time it made her happy (KonMari method application still). She find it weird but still did as I toldπŸ™‚.

Decluttering

After segregation, I put all the things she willingly let go to a plastic bag and gave it to our aunt who has a 5-year old granddaughter. Yuri felt good and she was even helping me out during the whole process. It's a nice bonding for us.

Meanwhile, my sisters' babysitters learned from Yuri what we did last night and checked how her drawer looks like. They were inspired to do the same to my nieces' clothes. One of them even told me that she might also apply it to her children's clothes because it is more organized. In short, we were all busy decluttering. Me and Yuri finished before lunch time and here is the final look!

All clean now

Yuri has empty bags so I used them to segregate her art materials, diaries, books, etc. and put labels on each bag so she could easily find and locate anything that she would be needing.

Items per category

Also did the same to her toys. Different plastic containers for desserts, meat, kitchen tools, fruits and vegetables and put them inside her cardboard box turned refrigerator πŸ™‚. She dislike it at first but when I told her that it's easier for her to get what toy she needs. She even tried playing it to appreciate what I was saying. πŸ™„

Upon entering our room this afternoon, Jac immediately noticed that his Ate Yuri's toys are now lesser and that he could instantly see the toy he would want to borrow from his ate.

It's a very fulfilling Friday for me and my dear darling. I hope that this will last and she could keep her things as organized and as minimalist as possible.
