Yesterday, my mother and my sister asked me if I could accompany my sister for a month in Manila while she is processing her resignation and turnover. I said yes half-heartedly because that would mean I will be away with my daughter for a month. However, that will also be my chance to process my clearance and to finally get my last pay from the previous company I have worked for almost 3 years.
I thought my daughter was busy playing with her cousin at that time but as soon as she saw me at the door, she immediately approached me and confirmed if I will be going to Manila. I said yes but only for a month and I will be here before Jac and your birthday. Then she start crying and told me not to go while embracing me so tight. Oh, my heart is broken and I could not help but to cry also while explaining to her. After a series of explanation, she finally understood and she said just make sure you'll be here before my birthday. Plus she requested a birthday gift not just for her but also for Jac.
This morning, my daughter is extra sweet and clingy. She wants my attention only just for her. She asked me to create a puzzle from her many drawings. (Sadly, I have no picture of it☺️). Assist her while reading a book and also watching her while solving some math problems. And she strictly say, 'no cellphone please!'. And so I obeyed😁.
It's really hard to say no to your family especially when it's for someone's welfare and safety. My sister is pregnant and is somewhat hard headed. She don't want to let go of her job when we keep on telling her that it's not safe for her and the baby because of the pandemic. Although she agreed to resign, she still insisted to submit and report personally in their office so I need to be there for her and assist her since her husband could not go with her.
So I am taking the responsibility of being her guardian for the time being. I need to make sure that she and her baby will be healthy and covid free. That's a hard and challenging task for sure but since I am the chosen one, I should and I will do my best. I just hope that her company will not ask her to finish the 30-days turnover so we can go home earlier.
The number of covid cases in our town keeps increasing and sadly our barangay is one of the major contributor of that increase. People just tend to ignore the protocols and being selfish. It's just sad that the 1st person tested positive was not immediately sent to the quarantine center and let him go home. Then he attended a debut of his niece and there were a lot of guests. The barangay captain did not allow that said gathering but they still push through and now the whole barangay is at risk. I just hope and pray that no more victims will be added and that all will recover from this virus.
We are under MECQ starting yesterday, thus we are not allowed to go anywhere unnecessary and not urgent. Which also means that I have to postpone my trip back to Manila and just wait for the coming days update. Thus, my little angel is happy with the news☺️.

I hope your barangay would find a solution to stop the spread of the virus. And might as well the whole neighborhood should cooperate. It is for the safety of others and everyone should work together. Ingat po & I hope your sister will be with you as soon as possible for her safety and the baby. ❤️
