It was one fine morning, Andy is busy with her regular routine. Cleaning around the resort she is working with. She is the caretaker of the beach resort just beside their house.
Hey Andy, Lina said. Lina is one of their neighbor who is renting the house just besides Andy's and buy and sells dry goods. Can you babysit Angel for a while, I just need to rush to the market and buy her milk? she said.
Okay, just come home quickly. I have so much to do here in the resort; Andy answered. She noticed that Lina is wearing a backpack but did not bother to question why anymore because Lina leave immediately.
Angel is sleeping soundly and Andy just fell in love with this baby. She is 5 months old, has a blond hair and long lashes, like an angel like her name. As if Angel read what's in her mind that she smile so sweetly. Angel was a product of a failed relationship, her father left her mother when he learned that Lina was pregnant.
Minutes passed and still no Lina is around. Andy started to feel worried because she did not leave or instructed anything for the baby. No diaper, no milk or even clothes. When Angel started crying, Andy panicked because she don't know what to do. She quickly asked her mother to watch over the child and check Lina's house. But to her surprise, Lina's things are no longer there, just some pairs of Angel's clothes, 3 pieces of diapers and an almost empty infant milk.
Angel's cry became louder and louder and so she run to her sister's house, who is also nursing her new born child and asked if she could breatfeed Angel for a while. Her sister agreed. She advice her mom to check on Angel because she will go to the grocery and but things that Angel will need.
When she arrived home, still no trace of Lina. Even the closest friends had no idea where she go. In an instant, Andy has a child. Her parents asked her about her plans for the baby, if she wants to report to the police or turnover to the barangay or even in DSWD. But Andy said no, Angel will stay with her and that she would raise her as her own and will register Angel as her daughter. Her family supported her decision and treated Angel as a member of the family.
Weeks, months, years passed and no Lina came home to even check the baby. Angel have grown to be a loving, kind-hearted and pretty little girl who calls Andy, Dada. She became the apple of Andy's eyes and her source of inspiration. She never entered into a relationship since then and focused more on nurturing and providing Angel's needs. Angel would sometimes asked her Dada where is her real dad and Andy would say, he's gone.
Angel is Andy's lucky charm and vise versa. She got promoted from work and became the resort manager. While Angel became the class valedictorian from Kindergarten to grade 6.

There is really no coincidence in life. Everything or our story have been written already and all we have to do is enjoy the ride and be surprised with what lies ahead.
