Dandelion has long been used as a medicinal plant, and is especially valued in folk medicine. That is why it is considered an ally of our health.It improves the functions of the liver and kidneys, enables better blood supply to the connective tissue and thus has a beneficial effect on diseases of the muscles and joints, especially gout.

Health benefits of dandelion syrup

Dandelion flower is easy to make syrup, or dandelion "honey", which can stand all year round, until the next "harvest" and taken regularly, a teaspoon a day with a little water, to detoxify the liver and bile and any stomach or respiratory problems.I do it regularly every year. And here is my recipe:Ingredients:

300 fresh dandelion flowers

2 liters of distilled water

2.4 kg of sugar

4 homemade lemons.

Preparation:

Wash fresh dandelion flowers well in cold water to remove dirt and insects that may be on them.Leave them to stand overnight, then squeeze them the next day, put them in a bowl and pour a liter of water over them.Boil water with dandelion flowers on low heat for 1-2 hours and stir occasionally.After an hour or two of cooking, strain the mixture and add the sugar and cook for another hour.The mixture should then become thick, so now add the lemons that you previously washed and cut into slices. Continue cooking for about another half hour.Immediately pour the finished mixture into jars, close them well and store in a dark and cool place.
