Many have heard about cherries, haven't they ....the recipe is from an old magazine from the 80s ....There is a lot of work around it, because of course you need to pick cherries, climb on cherries, wash them, prepare bottles, other ingredients, take them out in the sun every day for a month and a half, drain them, store them in bottles, and then wait for it to stand ....it is a long way to consumption, but it pays off ....This is a liqueur that delights everyone who tries it.I don’t know if it’s because of our homemade cherries or maybe brandy, but it’s really perfect.After a while, it becomes as thick as honey and is a real light "feminine" drink.
Ingredients for cherry liqueur:-1 kilogram of cherries-7 dcl of brandy-500 grams of sugarjarPreparation of cherry liqueur:Wash the cherries and remove the stalks and leaves.Place a row of cherries on the bottom of a larger jar.Then sprinkle a thick layer of sugar over them.Arrange a row of cherries over the layer of sugar again, then a row of sugar.
Repeat the process until the jar is filled almost to the top.Place the jar of cherries in the sun and cover with a saucer (never with a lid).When the sugar is completely dissolved, fill the jar to the top with brandy, stir gently and close with a lid.Store the cherries in the pantry and let them stand for at least a month.

Due to the position of the island below Velebit, from which strong bora blows all year round (especially in winter), the island of Pag is almost entirely covered with salt from the Velebit Channel. Therefore, the island of Pag is known for its poor vegetation coverage of some of its parts, which is often compared to the lunar surface. The rocky landscape with only a few leaves of aromatic herbs grazed by sheep creates a unique impression and a widely known cheese.
The island can be reached on the west by ferry from the port of Prizna, and on the south by a bridge where you are greeted on the left by the ancient fortress Fortica. There, according to folklore, the people of Pag welcomed and briefly received the Hungarian King Bela IV, hiding from the attack of the Mongol army.
The island of Pag has been inhabited since the Stone Age, and there are sites of various dwellings from the Iron and Bronze Ages. Due to its geostrategic position and the great importance of salt, the island of Pag has long been a place where the ancient Greeks and the Roman Empire left their traces. For a long time the island was part of the Venetian Republic, and from VII. century place of war between Zadar and Venice where on several occasions the cities of the island were destroyed and looted. To this day, the administrative division of the island into West and South remains, as well as 4 different dialects on the island.
Despite the bad weather and crowds, here we are finally on the ferry to the island of Pag, Croatia. We waited in line for two hours. But it was worth it. A little sea weekend is ahead of us. Have a nice day everyone.
