The German boxer, as the name of his name says, is a breed that originated in Germany at the end of the 19th century, and as a precursor to today's boxers is considered a German Bullenbeisser.
It is a now extinct breed whose origin is associated with Germany and the Netherlands. They were used as dogs to hunt deer and wild boar, but also as dogs used by cattle men to hunt cattle.
Like their ancestors, today's boxers are known for their strength, dexterity and fearlessness, and except for their wide snout with a dark mask they are recognizable for their muscular body, which is covered with short and smooth hair. Boxers can be yellow (different shades) or tiger with white markings.
