The Croatian coast with islands is one of the most indented in the world. Of the 1244 islands, reefs, cliffs, which remained after the rise of the Adriatic Sea 13,000 years. before Christ, today there are only 50 inhabited.

The abundance of islands and islets attracts adventure travelers from all over the world. Kayakers and sailors delight smaller islands with their romantic atmosphere, relaxed way of life in peace and beauty. In many island towns you will be delighted by the beautiful architecture and atmosphere, ancient monuments, art in stone, wood, canvas and old parchments.

Excellent stone and stonemasonry is an island tradition. The stone from the island of Brač has been installed in towns, summer houses and many masterpieces in Croatia, Italy and around the world.

Stone signposts and guards - Adriatic lighthouses today are mostly automated, there are only fifteen lighthouses with crew. Some are arranged for a stay and can be rented for a Robinson Crusoe adventure on a lonely island.

You will get to know the islands best if you take a walking or cycling tour, and you should definitely include at least some of the largest islands: Lošinj, Cres, Krk, Rab, Brač, Hvar, Vis, Korčula, Mljet. Cities on the coast spread around the core from ancient times or rebuilt on those foundations. Many urban units are well preserved, recognizable by churches and bell towers, palaces, squares, forts. In them you will find reasons to visit the museum, natural and art collection, aquarium, monuments of secular and sacral architecture from ancient and recent historical periods.

The largest urban centers on the coast - Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Sibenik, Split and Dubrovnik - are not far from the airport, they have ports that connect them to the islands and with each other, regular bus lines, some and rail connections with the interior.

I'm absolutely crazy about Croatia! I've been vacationing there a ton, and each time I'm just blown away by its beauty all over again. Now I'm seriously thinking about snagging a house there, 'cause it's basically my second home by now. I'm checking out different options, and stumbled upon this site for Adrionika real estate agency where they've got property for sale on Brac Island https://www.adrionika.com/island-brac-property-for-sale It just sounds like the perfect setup to have your own spot in this slice of paradise!

These islands sound like a paradise for adventurous seaside travelers. I imagine how cool it would be to spend time traveling around the islands on a yacht or kayak.
