Baska plate- is one of the most precious Croatian monuments: the longest and richest in data among the oldest Croatian Glagolitic inscriptions, created around 1100. In 13 lines (almost 100 words) the inscription is carved on a slab of white limestone, size: 199 x 99.5 x 9 cm. He talks about how the Croatian king Zvonimir donated some "land" (land) to Saint Lucia (in Jurandvor near Baška on the island of Krk). The Glagolitic alphabet of the Baška tablet goes into the transitional type between the round and the angular Glagolitic alphabet. The upper edge runs a prominent border with an ornamental motif of a vine in the same stylization on the decorated parts of church architecture on the Croatian coast in the late XI. st. and XII. st. It was originally a left partition plate (pluteus) on a stone church partition (septum).
