We like to hang out and very often we hang out during the week, nothing special for lunch, as it is prepared when it is the weekend, during the week it can be plain sweet cabbage with meat, stew, or anything on a spoon, homemade bread and cake ... that's how it was for us today, cooked sweet cabbage with ribs, homemade bread and cake with apples, because I usually don't invite guests on Wednesdays and Fridays because those are my fasting days, when I really try to eat minimally and my husband doesn't fast , he usually eats something left over from the previous day and sometimes joins and eats what I eat too ... thank god you are not required for food.
Ingredients for 8 people:
125 g of softened butter
150 g of sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanilla paste
2 eggs
125 ml of milk
225 g flour
half a bag of baking powder
peeled half a lemon zest
3 apples
45 g of almonds in leaves
brown sugar
powdered sugar
Preparation
1.
Mix flour and baking powder and sift. Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices. Cover the 22cm cake tin on the bottom with baking paper and spread the sides with a little butter. (I do not throw the paper in which the butter is wrapped, but I coat the sides of the mold with the side where the butter was). Set aside. Turn on the oven to heat to 160 ° C
2.
Whisk the softened butter with the sugar and vanilla into a frothy mass, add the lemon zest (I used lemon extract) one egg at a time and whisk each time after adding the eggs. Finally add the milk and whisk everything together.
3.
Add the flour that you mixed with the baking powder and sifted to the egg mass and first combine with a spatula (so that the flour doesn't fly everywhere if you mix it immediately with a mixer) and only then whisk everything together with a mixer.
4.
In the cake pan you have prepared, pour a spoonful of half of the dough all over a little and flatten with a spatula, arrange half of the sliced apples over the dough, then pour a spoonful and the other part of the dough, flatten and arrange the remaining apples, sprinkle with brown sugar and sprinkle with flakes. almonds.
5.
Bake in a preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes or when you stick a toothpick in the middle of the cake, the toothpick should be clean. Take out the baked cake and leave it briefly in the mold. Use a knife to go around the edges of the mold, open the clip on the mold and remove the hoop.
6.
Allow the cake to cool, carefully remove from the bottom of the mold, remove the baking paper and transfer the cake to a tray. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with tea or coffee.
7.
We have one piece left, the one I painted and in the morning my husband will eat it with tea ...
Pleasant!
