Mood swing is a rapid change of behavior. Is it normal? Healthy? Or Alarming?
I kind of feel most of the time I am normal. I'm watching my favorite show, I keep smiling a lot, cause of it, telling stories to my colleagues, sharing good news and the next is anger, irritability, and sadness.
It is normal to have days you feel sad or days to feel happy. As long as it doesn't interfere with your life at an extreme level. It is considered healthy.
On the other hand, it is alarming when you switch to extremely happy to extremely depressed on a regular basis. Having them frequently and the shift is rapid this is the time to talk about it to your doctor.
Some of the causes of these rapid changes in behavior can be related to mental health, hormones, substance use, or other health conditions.
WHEN TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR?
when you can't control your urges to do risky behavior like spending money, urges to confront people, or uncontrollable engaged in them
when you feel like you want to hurt yourself or others
when being unable to get up in bed, go to work, get enough sleep, or even just visit your friends
These can be a pattern of a mood shift symptoms of more health conditions.
