Aminul has organised a photography competition for photography enthusiasts. I commend him for his effort in organising this so that we can showcase of photos. I hope a lot of people participate in it. I wish him goodluck.
I am an avid trekker and regularly go for treks in the Himalalayas. The higher himalayas are still relatively untouched by humans and therefore pristine for centuries. The true nature can be felt there where there is no habitation and people go there for a short period of time. That way nature can play its wonder without hindrance.
I have been to various places in the himalayas and therefore have a collection of photos and I am sharing some for this competition.
The above photo was taken at a very high altitude where you will only find rock snow and ice. But the sights are unforgettably beautiful.
The above photo is of a glacial lake in Gangotri glacier. You can see the colour of the water, green but it is pure with no pollution. You can also see the colour of the rocks changing as per the mineral composition.
The lush green carpet after rainfall in the himalayas. What more can I say.
This is valley of flowers. Natures paradise.
The milky way, the galaxy we live in. Can only be seen from high altitude where pollution is nil. A sight to behold and gives us a proportion as to how small we are.
A golden sunrise kissing the peak with its first rays. Isn't it beautiful.
A frozen waterfall, as if time has stood still. You can very well imagine the temperature here.
Nature without sea is incomplete. The mighty Bay of Bengal with her migratory friends.
