In 1935 a young woman from Vienna Austria named Blanca came to India for her spiritual quest. She was 29 years then, a very young age to start the spiritual journey. She came to meet and be a disciple of Jiddu Krishnamurti. But fate had other plans for her. In India she met Anandamayi ma another spiritual mystic and became her disciple.
Anandamayi ma became her guru and gave her the name-Atmananda. And thus started her spiritual journey which continued till the 1980's when she passed away.
She had mentioned about a conversation which she had with Ma and after listening to it all your doubts will get cleared.

Ego is one of the 'remote control' of our life which plays havoc with our mind. Due to this ego we look down upon others, treat others unequal, misbehave, suffer from superiority complex when there is none. Ego forces us to take the wrong decisions IN life and make our life miserable. Still we cling onto it as our best guide. Ego is the by product of our mind.

Anandamayi ma passed away in 1982 and three years after that Atmananda passed away.
Before her death she was very ill and her friends were looking after her. She had to be taken to a hospital and while getting her in a taxi her friends told her- you will be back soon. She smiled and said - I go now and won't come back. After 3 days she passed away.
Atmananda used to occasionally worry as to who will take care of her when she became ill. Once she had asked Ma also about this. Ma had said- God looks after you. And indeed God looked after her. Thus ended her journey in this life.
She had given her notes and diaries to Ram Alexander and after her death he published it in the name of 'Death must die' which is one of underground bestseller and can be seen in the hands of foreigners in India.
When I read of such enlightened beings who have graced this world I can't stop myself from spreading there story. May be if 20 people read this article one may appreciate it and change her views about self and life.
