Regional head elections, or we call them local democracy, always attract the attention of political observers, academics, observers, including the voting community. Various critical notes have adorned the history of regional head elections.
Starting from the discussion whether the regional head election is carried out directly or not, whether the state civil apparatus can maintain neutrality during the regional head election stages or the election organizers can carry out their duties properly without being dismissed by the election organizer's honor council, how dowry politics change the political map for candidacy, how the winning strategy of candidates and other political activities.
In this book I have written, readers will encounter the uneasiness of election observers who monitor regional head elections. This paper tries to sue political parties that are not transparent, candidacy carried out with the issue of money politics, the campaign for regional head candidates and issues surrounding the holding of regional head elections. How faint sounding political moves are used by regional head candidates.
This book is one of the critical notes of my thinking about political elites who play an important role in how to win regional head elections. In addition, this book reads about the situation regarding the funding for regional head elections. That is why this book comes from the thoughts of me who is an election observer. So, it will be quite interesting for readers in terms of reading the observers' complaints against local democratic politics in Indonesia.
The objectives:
Keeping reasoning objective.
Not easily poisoned by black campaigns
So that voters have awareness in recording local political events
Political games that read,
Then it is written that it is part of the struggle of the younger generation to guard democracy, including the regional elections. Politics is dynamic, sometimes it makes us nervous, anxious, excited, and it can make us angry. It depends on the spiritual situation of each citizen. Free to politically, strategically, or educate as well as educated. It depends on how we follow the politics. As beautiful as the word politics is, it always brings us to an uncertain atmosphere. This is what we will describe from the pieces of the story that stick together.
In the beginning, it took courage to express opinions, both written and oral. Even so, the constitution provides space for the freedom to express opinions in public. Still, as a village student, criticizing elites and political parties is not an easy task. It takes courage that has been prepared for years. Until such time, every word is read by the reader. Whether in newspapers or online media.
This voice is the voice of observers who challenge local democracy from writing. Procedural local democracy has not improved itself sufficiently. Perhaps, indeed, elite power and central pressure forced local democracy to surrender. At the crucial moment, even local democracy seeded various prohibitions. The team's moves to win the pair of candidates can overwhelm us. Indeed, Indonesian political contestants are always able to play a role.
From the village boy's observations, politicians and political parties are one unit that needs healthy criticism. If possible, sharp criticism is like plunging into the soul. So that readers understand that every sound has a meaning. As far as the author is concerned, political parties are still looking for trouble. As long as the leadership is happy, the recruitment of regional executive cakon can be democratized. Political costs? I think about the candidate. Moreover, the matter of breaking the rules, making mistakes becomes justification. Sometimes, the campaign style is so-so, even boring. Yet that is local politics.
