The response and reaction to bad and good activities are different. We don't limit them to their age factor or their health issues. We mostly react faster than we should. In most of the cases memory and thinking power change according to age and its health issues.

www.health.harvard.edu is the link where I got the subject matter so clear and concise.It writes;

As scientist see the brain as continuously changing and developing across the entire life span. There is no period in life when the brain and its functions just hold steady.Some cognitive functions become weaker with age, while others actually improve.

Age is also the biggest risk factor for many brain diseases,most of which affect brain structure and functions. Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia cause abnormal proteins which damage brain tissue.

Regarding health issues, other common diseases in older adults, such as diabetes and heart diseases can also compromise cognitive functions .

Some other factors like medication , poor vision and hearing, sleep deprivation and depression also can interfere with brain function and thus cognitive ability.

As a result of these changes, you will likely start to notice slight slips in your memory in middle age and beyond.This is why the name of an old friend might be right on the tip of your tongue but you cannot think of precisely the word you are looking for.

Whereas medicalnewstoday.com writes;

Brain aging is inevitable to some extent,but it is not uniform; it affects everyone or every brain differently.Throughout a life time, the brain changes more than any other part of the body.

3 Common memory changes that are associated with normal aging include:

  • Difficulty learning something new.

  • Multi-tasking become more difficult.

  • Re-calling names and numbers becomes difficult at age 20.

As we know things are different with each other. They vary according to many factors which we even cannot imagine . So, let's be sure to know about the factor that effects in to it.

Thank you
