Wasn't here yesterday, had my pre-employment medical exam. Took my the whole morning to finish it. Afterwards, I went to the mall to get something to eat at home. Decided on two of my favorites - Kowloon siopao and Boston Creme from Dunkin Donuts.

Hope everyone is doing fine. This was my lunch for today, grilled pork and some carbonara. Bought the grilled pork from my neighbor. Cooked some carbonara earlier. Added mushrooms and sliced ham. I had some meals prepared already but since I had time to cook, I decided to cook carbonara. Still have some pasta left so i might make some tuna pasta.

Coming from a weekend social media detox. Did my usual errands and of course did my meal prep for the coming week. Decided to keep it simplewith fried and grilled food for the week ahead. Prepared fried tilapia and fried chicken and grilled some thinly slied beef strips.
Had the fried tilapia for dinner already. Will just pop these meals in the oven to reheat it when I'll have it for a meal this coming week.

Good day fellow noisers.
One of the Friday traditions that I grew up with was hearing mass in Quiapo Church every Friday. My maternal grandfather would pick me up and before spending the weekend in their place, we would go to Quiapo to either hear Mass or line up to the Black Nazarene. We'd also line up to one of the crucified Christ on the wall and I would read the prayer for forgiveness written beside it.
Afterwards, we would have dinner at either Ma Mon Luk or one of the old school coffee shops in Quiapo.
Good times.
When I was older and had my rest days on Friday, I would go to Quiapo as well. Of course, things are not the same anymore with the pandemic.

Breakfast for today is Chowking's sweet and sour chicken lauriat plus two bowls of wanton noodle soup. The chicken was tender but too sweet for my taste. The stir-fired noodles was a pleasant urprise. I usually find these too salty or greasy but this one was fine. The wanton noodle soup has always been a comfort food for me. Of course the highlight of the meal is the buchi. One of my all time favorite desserts!

Crypto market was a blood bath. No surprise here as stocks and other markets were on a downward trend. We can thank China for all this chaos. They think they can achieve global domination with their Wuhan virus and they failed miserably. Not, they are taking the entire world to an economic catastrophe.
The important question though is, 'Did you buy the dip?'.

Very late breakfast. Actually, I think this qualifies as lunch already. Maybe brunch just to cover both.
This is a regular breakfast fare though. Make no mistake about it. Crispy fried dilis (anchovies), fried rice with scrambled egg toppings plus a dipping sauce of cubed tomatoes, salted eggs, with spicy vinegar.
Missing the all-day breakfast restaurants during this pandemic.

One of the things that I miss is travelling and visiting tourist spots even in the city.
I've been to Manila Ocean Park a number of times before. Also checked in their hotel, Hotel H2O. I can't believe I'm saying his but once this pandemic is over, I'll definitely visit the place again.

ADA has been holding steady. It has been a bloodbath in the crypto market and ADA after going to 3.07 has dropped down and lost almost 50% of its value.
We are seeing some support now and it seems it is back and poised to regain what it has lost.

Got my meals all prepared for the week ahead already.
Cooked some pork steak, pork sinigang, beef mechado, and carbonara. Placed it in plastic microwaveable containers and popped it in the fridge. Now, when I'll be eating, I just have to pop the whole thing in the microwave or get some small amount and heat it over the stove and I'm good to go.
Meal preparation has been an important part of my week because it heps me save time and money and makes me eat healthier than usual.

Yesterday I wrote about my mom's furbaby Chuchi, well, here is his brother from another mother, my mom's other furbaby, Animo.
If Chuchi is a cool and chill dude, Animo is a fireball and very active. He likes to run around the house and play fetch.
In the background you can see Chuchi sleeping in his bed. Beside it is Animo's bed. Also in the background is the pink tray of toys of Animo. He has a couple of favorites but I'm guessing his most favorite one is the yellow rubber squeaking chicken.
Anyway, these two often gets into fights because of Animo's hyperactivity but good thing nothing serious happens.
Animo though is a bit of high-maintenance when being taken cared of. Sometimes, he doesn't pee on his mat and he insists on being spoonfed literally on certain times when he doesn't feel like eating.
He is sweet and affectionate though like Chuchi.

Chuchi, one of the furbabies of my mom.
He is wearing his shirt because of the cold weather we have today. He is very chill and laid back. Usually lays around all day. Sleeps most of the time. Hardly ever barks or causes a commotion. Real easy peasy when it comes to taking care of him. Plus, he is toilet trained.

Leftovers for lunch.
Ordered some Jollibee Chicken Joy and fries yesterday after getting my second dose of the vaccine. Wasn't able to finsih everything. Just popped these legs and fries in the oven and instant lunch. Skipped the rice because this is a lot already.

Just got home from my scheduled second dose of the Moderna vaccine. Mas matagal ang pinila ko ngayon. It was two hours in al, from arriving at the vaccine site to finay gettign the vaccine and staying at the waiting area for fifteen minutes. My first dose only took me thirty minutes. Anyway, still thankful that I completed my accine doses. If you have a chance to do so, please do it as soon as you can.
Decided to treat myself and the people at home with some Jollibee Chicken Joy.

Quick breakfast for today is puto (rice cakes). Not sure what these particular rice cake is called pero masarap pareho. The white one is softer while the brown one has a fuller and thicker texture. Like wha tI wrote, parehong masarap pero mas gusto ko yun brown. Naubos ko na yun dalawang pack bago ko naisipan kunan ng picture.
Anyway, sa mga kapwa ko food-tripper dyan, alam nyo ba kung ano ang tawag sa puto na ito?
